Jane, my MIL had Glaucoma and although she ignored it (!!) her sight inevitably, was bad at the end of her life (she was 93!!) but not completely gone. Ian has been told that he has to keep a check on his sight and that provided it is spotted early on glaucoma is easily treatable and not something to get too worried about. Hope this has reassured you. I'm sure if they suspect glaucoma you will get an appointment very soon. Nothing much else to report, back still jippy, keep taking the tablets!! Old lady over the road (100!!) has been taken back into hospital, she only came home three weeks ago!! Can't believe she'll be back, surely time for the Residential Home?! we shall see!

Liz I think if there is a long wait for appointments I will look at private.I think loosing sight would be one of my worst nightmares.I will try not to think about it until I get an appointment.

Well the gas man got caught with some problem and couldn't get here. Now it will be saturday morning.
Chris and Hannah due home any moment now ,so I better go and check on the food

I was a bit naughty and opened the referral letter.Well I needed to see what it said lol.I have had some weird symptoms with eyes and dizziness over the last couple of years, especially when driving on motorways and night driving, plus feeling like I am all woozy when walking. Some of you might remember me going for tests on my sight and ears.I just wonder if that is when the problem started and recently have had gooey eyes.

Change of subject now ....Am I right in thinking there used to be a comic with a sunday paper. My parents used to get the Sunday Express and I seem to remember looking forward to a comic each week.Just a couple of pages.
Dishing up Spag Bol now.Must go and get Chris his pinny lol.He always makes a mess down his front !!

I'd a paper round before and after school,
Was always well up on the head lines.

Never bought a comic. Used to read the ones I'd to deliver.

Jane

Jane Report 25 Feb 2011 10:29

Morning David ,you early bird.
I did a paper round.I have a feeling it was saturday and sunday. My friend Anne would often come with me and we would scrump apples on the way round and put them in my paper bag. Then we would go down to the woods and sit on an old tree trunk that had fallen over the stream and scoff ourselves silly. Then often ended up with gripey tummies lol

Another very mild day here but not as sunny as yesterday.I am off to get a couple of tickets for next weeks wednesday film at the Cinema. Its better to get them ahead as if it is on a small screen I can't always get an aisle seat, and I do like my aisle seat.

Hope you are all getting fit and well .Frank I hope your week is going well.

Morning dull and drizzly here. When will it ever stop.

Jane if you do have glaucoma in any mild form your children would get free eye tests. just thought I should let you know but Chris may have already told you.

I do wish this weather would clear up as I am getting fed up with not being able to put my washing out. It is warmer but still the ground is so wet.

David, I love your sence of humour !!!!

Hi all, Things seem to be settling down, even though we are not speaking alot, It helps having Lewis here. He goes back this evening, so see what tomorrow brings.

Jane you must keep an EYE on your eyes. The boys grandfather had that, and the both get free eye tests every year. Will have to keep an eys on Lewis as it runs in the family, so i am told.

Sorry Mel, I sent a couple this morning, I'll take you off my list. after I have posted.

We are off for a Chinese lunch in a few minutes. Eat at much as you like £7.40 and £4.40 for Lewis. If we can get away with it.

Glad Ian, is showing progress Liz, Hope he is soon up and running around.

Lovely spring day yesterday, Lewis and I went up the field for him to play with his football. Overcast again today.

Not much to report from here today, weather miserable but not cold. Taxed the car (!) this a m, and this p.m brushed and combed Millie. 'Back' a bit grotty,, but no worse, more stiff than anything else. You're right guys about the free eye tests, Ian hasn't paid for a test for Donkeys Years on account of MIL's glaucoma, so that at least is something useful!!! Ian goes from strenth to strength, it's quite amazing how he has suddenly picked up! Just the 'continence' problem; get that licked, and we're home and dry (forgive the pun!!) Macaroni Cheese tonight, nice and easy!!!

Jane Report 25 Feb 2011 16:17

I'm back. After going to the cinema to buy tickets I went to Tes** to get Fitz a jar of Capers, ended up spending another 20 odd quid myself lol.Have just been down at his house for the last 3 hours talking family history and all sorts.
What have I got done today? ....Nothing !!
Mel can I still send photos?
Frank ,I hope things work out when Lewis has gone.Just try and keep things low key and as calm as possible. You don't want another major blow up.
I had a flipping good laugh at one of those emails lol
Well I need to get a chivvy on and sort out something for dinner.
