I've been out all day, first to see the film 'True Grit' which was brilliant and then shopping. I got a nice little mother of pearl photo frame, a tiny one. I wonder where that came from.....'mother of pearl'???

Well I have decided to go to the spare bed tonight.Chris is getting up ridiculously early AGAIN lol.He is off for a 9 o'clock appointment at the Apple Store MK to get his Pooter sorted.He says the alarm will be set for 5.30 !!!! I think he is bonkers.He doesn't really need to get up until 6.30.So he can get up ,empty dishwasher,let dog out for a wee ,have a shower ,and then bring me a cup of tea about 7.30 .Chester will come up then and have a snuggle down under the duvet for an hour or so lol

Morning suns out and the pond is filling up from the well very slowly.

Oh recons he has been up since the crack of dawn finding all the hosepipe so he can reach the well which is in the veg garden a long way away. He has all the frames off the top of the pond but they have done their job as not many leaves in the pond at all. Fish still alright thank goodness!!

That's nice of Anne.I'm glad she is enjoying her hols.She still has 2 weeks left I think.She will be nice and chilled now.

Well Chris rang from MK to say he has to leave his computer for maybe a week or so.Not a happy bunny about that.Anyway I will be a happy bunny as he is popping in to M&S to get some food!

It has been very grey so far but looks like it may brighten a bit.I think today is supposed to be the best day of the weekend.

All fish ok accept the one that got stuck on the plant shelf. Only a goldfish thank goodness, not any of the kio.

Prospective buyers want to come and have a final look at the house! for goodness sake, what ever for, they've been twice at great length, we've had their architect and surveyor last week, again, at great length. I know I'm being churlish, but to be quite honest I just feel weary, particularly as (gloomy me!) they probably won't have the place after !!!! Oh well. I must smile sweetly, offer coffee and answer all questions cheerfully!! Anyway, off to put the hoover over! Glad the fish seem OK Mel!!

Dull but dry, OH gone out on his bike, and I am just pottering about in my dressing gown till I go for my shower, that was nice of Anne to have a chat glad she is having a good time . hopefully she'll come home nice & rested.

What a great morning, wall to wall sunshine. I think it's walkies time down the canal. Haven't been since last year, when I took the photo's. Will take my camera today. and telephone, in case I need a lift home.

Mel, So glad the fish are well, a few years ago, the hose to the filter in the shed came off and emptied the pond into the shed. Ros went down the garden, and there was about 6" of water left in the bottom of the pond. She turned off the pump and put the hose in the pond and refilled it. I sorted out the hose thing when I got home.
I bet Chris is well PIS#ED Off having to go back in a couple of weeks, I know I would.

Liz, Great news about the house, they must be keen or they wouldn't want to keep coming back !!! Hows Ian,????

Mel, If you can reply to Anne, give her our love.

Panic stations at your house yesterday then Mel, glad to hear you manged to save all the fish , would have cost a fortune to replace them all.

Not doing much today , i have hubby's cold ,keep cough cough cough, woke at two and had a coughing fit ,it's such a dry cough !!! makes your chest sore .

Liz I bet you are fed trying to keep everything clean and tidy !!! I know my sister is.She tries to get the prospective buyers to visit with the Estate Agent(which is often her son lolol)when both her and her OH are at home so they can take all 3 dogs out for a walk.Otherwise it would be bedlam .

Mandy it wasn't that long ago that you had a nasty cold/cough was it? At least you managed to get out for your meal last night.Put your feet up ,do a bit of stitching or watch tv for the day .

So much for me thinking I would have a good sleep in the spare bed and not be woken by chris getting up early.I had the sweats all night and was wide awake when he got up at 5.30 lol.I was drinking tea with a couple of Hob Nobs at 6 am and reading my book .
It's nice to putter around in your dressing gown isn't it Fiona especially if you haven't got to think about dressing to go out somewhere.I wouldn't be surprised if my BIL is out on his bike this morning like your OH.It is a beautiful day.

Mel, that was nearly a tragedy with the fish.....thank goodness they are saved!! Yes it would be a long way from your well to the pond.........lots and lots of hose needed!!

Liz, it drove me nuts keeping clean and tidy when I sold my last house. As folk are saying though....they must be keen. My final buyer came about 3 times and the last time they brought a tape measure to measure the windows so I knew they meant business!! Fingers crossed for you.

Jane, I don't know if Chris is like my OH but if he has any kind of appointment he is up ages before he needs to be. Trouble is, since he retired he seems to think I operate the same way......no, I don't need an hour and a half to get ready!! lol
When I do move though, I get cracking and know exactly what I need to do which is not have him keep interrupting and asking things!! Is it a man thing???? lol

Mandy you must be fed up with your cough. I have had some awful, tickly ones
like that.....they are always worse at night too.

Shirl there are some pretty 'cool' frames about these days.I'm sure she will find something that she will like.Maybe when she is a bit older she could have contact lenses.Specs can be quite a fashion accessory .Some Celebs wear them with just plain lenses in.

We called coffee with hot milk Milky Coffee.I quite fancy one myself now.I haven't had a milky coffee for years.I think we have 7 pints of milk in the fridge so there is plenty lol

I'm looking forward to some photos from Frank and Ann.I bet the canal is lovely today with this sunshine.

It's good to see Chris out in the garden at last.It will do him good.He has just topped all the veg patches with soil so it all looks lushush now.I can't wait to grow more herbs ,as they all died this winter.My favourites are,Oregano ,Thyme,Tarragon,Parsley ,Rosemary and Mint.Oh I forgot Basil.But I often have a pot of that on my kitchen windowsill.

Still no news from Sheila.I'm sure we all hope she is ok.

OH been clearing the paths in the back garden came in to say he was off to the tip (public refuse department site ) with 3 bags of garden rubbish, said the sun was lovely and he was feeling quite warm with all that bending and sweeping.
I was tidying the spare bedroom as SIL is going away in a couple of weeks for an overnight stay, On some training course and daughter no 1 and Sofia will be staying the night with us.

Shirl , I have forgotten is your monster your grandaughter. 14 is such an awkward age for girls , we used to say that between the age of 14 and 18 there not children anymore but still not adults.
My daughter no 2 was 7 when she had to start wearing glasses at school. she hated it as she was on the plump side which didn't help and the other kids would call her 4 eyes or geek, now at the age of 23 she sometimes wears glasses or contact lenses her glasses are black with litle square diamonties(SP) along the arms.
Childrens glasses come in all shapes and colours these days. more of a fashion acsesory.

Mandy I'm glad you asked that.I was just thinking the other day about our Pumpkin competition.I think Mel said we plant in June.But then again I could be totally wrong.
Have you tried Covoni* cough mixture.OH says cough mixtures are rubbish,but I found the Covoni* ones to be quite helpful.I have never had one for a dry or tickly cough but the chesty one and catarrh one were really helpful.
