Evening All

I have just looked at the moon and its huge but does have a slight ring around it. I think that means cold weather but I'm not sure.
I have never been a size 10, or 12 for that matter, must be lovely. I have noticed that clothes seem to be cut more generously size and shape have hardly changed.
Frank It does sounds as though you overdid it yesterday.
I am dreading the arrival of the heating bill as our heating was on for days and days before Christmas.
Can't turn on the tele as hubby waiting to have a text read out on Five Live.
Son sent a very interesting e mail about grandmothers reading to children in India via Skype. Iy sounds a lovely idea and I shall look into it more closely.
Didn't sell many tickets this afternoon but saw lots of people to chat too

I hope Frank didn't have to sit too long with Ros.....not good with a bad back.

Anne we get loads of moths down here even in the winter but hardly ever when it is really frosty.

We get some lovely little green ones sometimes and lots of the hawk moths. I had a friend who was interested in moths some years ago and she caught one and it was named after her I think because it had'nt been found before. This was in Essex and it was a very small one.

Ann the pic of the Deer jumping is good. How did you manage to not get it fuzzy.

When I was down the Churchyard this morning with Chester,I noticed a grave with a tree growing out of it!!!!.Must remember my camera next time.I don't know why I hadn't spotted it before ,as I walk past it every time.

There's a little step on the Penny farthing ( whoops i nearly left the h out then lol) just above the little back wheel, i think they hop up on that to push off .

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 19 Jan 2011 18:19

There is a mounting spike on the back frame of the byke if you look.

Still think it must be hard to get on and off though. OH said they have no brakes.

No I am only selling sweets and ice cream. Hubby is stage manager. As its an Amateur production people do allsorts of jobs. It's quite a big concern with 8 performances over a week and audiences of around 300 at each performance. Our son was involved when he was at school and we soon followed him. I did appear a couple of times but was pretty awful so settled to helping front of house.
*Mel* Have just passed moth info to hubby who is very impressed.

We also do a Spring show which is usually a compilation of 'Songs from the Shows' which lasts for four or five nights.
Our main show is always held in October and this year we are presenting Wizard of Oz. This also runs for a week but without the matinees.
I am Patrons Officer for the company and my task for that week is to provide hospitality for around 400 people over the week. It's very busy but I have a super team of helpers.
The children love the panto especially the fairy and the slapstick scene

Who is size 8?!! I don't think I've been that since I was about 12!!! I was size 12 when I got married Jane, and that wasn't exactly 'last week'!!! OH and I have been married for 47 years in Feb!!!! You only get 20 for murder, I've done a double life sentence + !!! I jest!!! I cut OH's hair too Mel,have done for years, but not with clippers (or strimmer!) just comb and sissors; sometimes I do a 'good' job sometimes not quite so good, but it always looks good enough!!! Talking about Giraffes, did you see the one recently born (unexpectedly) at Paignton (?) Zoo?(could have been another one) Staff came in and found this new arrival on the ground with it's proud Mum, looking proud!!! Mandy, we seem to have umpteen bills to pay, Telly License, Barclay Card (Xmas!!!) Leccy bill, standing order each month, logs, the list is endless!!!! never mind food and petrol!!! About to watch 'Wish me Luck' on Yesterday; really into that at the moment!!! Thanks for all the support regarding OH on Monday, it's really appreciated.

I went to the Panto in Northampton the year before last to see Cinderella ,Jimmy Osmond was Buttons.I thoroughly enjoyed myself ,shouting out and just being like a big kid lol. That was the first time I had been to one since the children were young.I always remember going at Xmas when I was little.Dressed up like a dogs dinner in my best dress etc !!.
Isn't Boxing Day the traditional day to go to a Panto?

Where are my OH and Daughter?????.They should be here by now.I hate it when someone is late and there is no phone call.

Jane Report 19 Jan 2011 20:09

Sheila, what can I say. After the struggle for Mos to stay in this country and finally being allowed to stay,it seems so sad that he has decided that he has to go back.I am sure you are very upset, but you are there for your Daughter.
It sounds like Mos is in a bit of a turmoil, with what's going on in Tunisia.Maybe he needs to make sure his family are safe.
Chin up girl.
