Poor ol' Mandy. Hoper it clears uo soon, it's not like you to be down !!
I see the local forcast isn't good for you either Manmdy. More snow by the looks of things.
After watching "DICK" I don't want to hear about you girls having a bad hair day. That bloke had a head and half of hair.. Get to the barbers and get a haircut I say. She was a bit of a DRAMA QUEEN wasn't she. I know she put a lot of work into the projuct, but there is a limit !!!
Driving without insurance Jane, That offence means they can take your car away. You were a lucky girl. I can just see the headlines in the" Evening Telegraph" Doctors wife caught withour car insurance Had to walk home.!!!
Mel, two gold stars for getting your jobs done. ;-) ;-) ;-) If I am right I have seen Midsomer before. But won't spoil it for you. But I got on Ros's nerves last night, telling her what was going to happen. I do love "SYKES" in that. He is in adverts as "HARVEY" cute little thing.
Pat I bet you were well pleased, getting home then it stopped snowing :-0 :-0 SODS LAW.
No sign of Ros yet,bet she's having a noise around :-D :-D :-D

O frank I like Sykes too and mentioned before about him being Harvey in the advert with Rabbit. He has also been in something else too. Is'nt he the one who also was in the dogs home and played the video of allthe thngs he could do? Was probably for the same company as Harvey and Rabbit. Just shows you how they can put on a great advert which we watch over and over again and are still none the wiser as to what it was advertising!!!!
I am soooo glad Mandy popped in to let us know how she got on at the docs.
Virus's are nasty things and I hope you feel a little better after today and will soon be on the mend. I wonder if it was anything you caught off Jake? but the grown up version???? :-S

It does sound a nasty one Mandy :-S.Hopefully in a day or two it will have done it's worse and you will start to feel better. oh oh! it is snowing !!! and the wind seems to have picked up again.Fitz has gone.He wanted to see if I wanted to go to the cinema. Some film with Densil Washington. But I didn't fancy it.I'd rather stay in the warm now lol, plus I need to get some ironing done.
Frank,I didn't actually drive without the insurance (thank goodness). It was going to run out at 10am and I managed to get it just in time,as my hair was at 10am !
I need a cup of tea now.The birds are madly feeding and the Woodpecker is on the Coconut at the moment.

Insurance wise is owning 2 vehicles expensive? Ive been toying with the idea of buying an estatate car or van for a while. I'd be the sole driver and I could only drive one at a time. But would I get hammered by the insurance?

Was an advert for XLAX David :-D :-D :-D I don't remember the words, or where they came from, and boy was I into the swinging Sixties. !!! Best era for anyone to grow up in. A lot going on around the world, and at home. But very few thugs and druggies like there is today.
I see on the local news that "a foreign Johnie" had only been in the Country TWO DAYS when he mugged a young lad, and robbed him. Why oh Why, don't they send them straight back from where they come from. Give me SIX MONTHS and I would change this Country and the People who would be allowed to live here. Commit a crime of any sort, and you are out..
Ros has bought me a box of Stell# 24 bottles for £14.00. 56p a bottle, six of those makes a PINT in the pub. cost wise. Do you wonder why more people drink at home That should last me a week, if I am a good boy. !!!!
No Will today, I bet with his new plate, he can't SPEAK lol lol
Our nice young neighbours are moving round the corner, doing a swap and cash difference with an elderly couple with a 51 year old daughter who needs permanent care. She does walk rould the village with her dog though. I understand he is 86, so I bet his wife must be in her 80s. We will be the YOUNG NEIGHBOURS, and will have to keep an eye on them !!!
Football this evening England V Brazil friendly, So I will be looking at it throught the Conservatory window, at my new tele.

I'm feeling a bit under par today.I wonder if it was to do with all my dreams last night.I was very busy and panicking in my dreams as I was in a hostage situation :-SI woke this morning feeling knacker** and my teeth were so painful.I must have been clamping my jaws together very tightly.I might wear my bite guard tonight so that I can't get my teeth together.
I remember when one of the children were young .It might have been Hannah .Chris took them to a MacDon*** in Peterborough ,and when they got home we realised that a teeth brace was missing.Panic stations!!!.Rang MaccyD and asked staff to check around the table area and bins.Dreading the thought of having to go back to the dentist for a new one...........No luck from the restaurant :-S.But later that evening when getting ready for bed it was found in a pocket wrapped in a paper serviette lolol.I can't tell you the relief :-D :-D It had been taken out so she could eat her Chicken Nuggets or Burger. :-|
Frank ,you will enjoy your beers then tonight watching footie on your new tele :-D :-D.It will be strange for you having new neighbours. Is it the ones with the baby who are moving?

Evening All,
Me too Mel. When I saw the writing and then heard it spoken it made me think that if I travelled back in time I wouldn't know what anyone was talking about!!
Frank, OH made me laugh tonight.......one of the headlines in our paper was 'Hands off our Richard'. OH said at least they didn't put the 'D' word!!! :-0 ;-). Your mention of it just reminded me.
Liz, those books about Richard sound interesting.......I've made a note of them. I'm cutting out a coupon in the paper 2 for 1 entry to the Battle of Bosworth Heritage Centre. It is on that trail we walked with the snowy pics a week ago but we have never been inside it. We thought it would be good to go now before it gets packed in the summer!
Yes Kim, St Martins Cathedral was over the road from my school gates. The school is in the background behind the wall all through the tv programme.
Jane, the Denzel Washington film was Flight and we went to see it this afternoon.....we both enjoyed it.....I like most of the films he is in.
Oh Mandy, it does sound a nasty virus. At least you have been checked over and I suppose you have to sit it out now and just keep warm and as comfortable as you can. Hopefully in a day or two you will be over the worst of it.
David, I know some insurance companies give a discount for a second car insured with them. Also, if your mileage is likely to be low in either or both, there is usually an extra discount for that.

Thanx Ann, the joint mileage woud be the same as what I'm clocking up in one car.Ellen doesn't drive although she took lessons years ago.
I was thinking of cahing in a bundle of unproductive Premium Bonds and buying an estate car or van,but the insurance is as yet an unknown. But I'm sure it would cost.

David, it's a bit long winded to do but if you fill in the form to get a quote on the site below it will list the cheapest quotes from the companies they deal with for you. It usually gives contact tel nos and you could phone (some are freephone nos) and ask about a second vehicle.

Morning everyone,
It has been a lovely sunny day here.
Path. lady came to the house to do my bloods this morning. It's amazing how well a hot wheat bag and a litre of water works to get everything flowing. She did a great job and I didn't feel a thing.
I've packed my shoulder with ice to see if it will ease the pain. Might give you some relief Frank in a warm, cosy setting of course. I think it has given me some ease.
Mandy I hope you are feeling better soon and don't have to go out in the cold to the doctor again.
Does anyone one know yet where DICK will be buried? There was some talk of York too.
Keith and I have seen the Denzel Washington movie and enjoyed it. He played the character well.
Frank we are having a lot of trouble over here with foreign bods attacking and killing locals. Lots of shootings, stabbings in the western suburbs where a certain group have taken up residence. Quite a lot of elderly folk being bashed in their homes or taken advantage of through scams. It is an ever changing world and I don't like the direction it is headed. We have such weak pollies in charge (or not) too.
Pat how is little Max settling in and where did you get him from? I've missed all that in the posts.
Well the crickets are noisy tonight and there is a beautiful sunset. Have a good day everyone and take care. 8.11pm ADST

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Dullish today but dry at the mo.
Hope Mandy, Ann an Kim feel better today.
Went in quite late yesterday evening to give Hogwart some tin food and he was out. I spoke to him for a while and then decided to get him out and weigh him again as I had'nt done it for ages.
He looked so big I thought I had better see if he could still roll in a ball so I donned my leather gardening gloves and went to pick him up and yes he could. Then I decided to get the kitchen scales and see how much he did weigh as he felt quite heavy. 3lbs. 6oz!!!! So I am thinking that maybe he should go on a diet?

Morning all/Evening Kim,
HOME ALONE. Ros has gone to her patchwork thingy with about 14 women at the new scouts hut. 9.30 am till 3.00 pm. So nice quiet day and no Tele. Peace at last !!!
Poor you Jane, at least you were keeping your mouth shut. !!! Good job i'm not closer or I would get a thick ear !!!
Ann, I can just imagine if they had put DICK in the headlines. There would have been riots. lol lol. Is he going to Leicester or somewhere else. I see Fotheringhay don't want him, it will cause to much disturbance in the village. To say the least, as he's been dead all these years, will it really matter where they put him,
David, I understand the best Insurers for multi cars is Admira# they specialise in it.
Kim, I thought you had more stringent laws in Aus. regarding the IMPORT of these Foreigners. Not like us with the EU. It is going to get worse next year two more lots will be aloud in.!!! Where can I go ????
Strange thing happened this morning. When I was fourteen I came off my bike and grazed my face on freshly laid tarmac with all the grit on it. Like all kids at the time I just wiped the blood away, and let it dry up. The scabs formed and fell off with a bit of picking from me.!!! over the years I would find tiny specks of grit under my skin, in the form of little lumps. This morning I scratched my forehead by my hairline, and picked out a small piece of grit, could it have been there for SIXTY years ????
I can't comment on the film "Flight" as I never go to the Cinema. As I said before, my head can't stand the noise.
Mel, Hoggy is getting a big boy/girl. When will you release him/her into the garden ???
I trust Mandy is feeling a bit better this morning, I certainly hope so.
Green Thu# has just come to do my winter treatment. He has instructed me to stay off the lawns for 48 hours, as if you bring the treatment in on your shoes/slippers it will stain the CARPETS. Wonder what's in that stuff. ???
