Ann ,I think it is a very long time for whatever part is needed. We are now talking a week longer than I was told :-S
I just had a call from a 'friend' in Plymouth. She is someone I was at primary school with and she lived with us for a month or so when her Mum was dying.I think she thinks of me as 'family'.I'm not being funny but she is very eccentric ,is a hoarder ,lives in a not too clean bungalow with her OH and 5 cats. She now has one of her Chickens living in and roaming as they had a Badger attack on the hen house. She lost one of her hens but managed to save this one.Can you just imagine the Chicken poop around the place??? :-0 :-0.

Oh what a tado over SOI. I can't believe the public. Joe and the girl from Corrie should have been in the skate off, and realy both should have gone out.
Jane, When I had the P.O. We use to deliver to a family that had hens living in the house. !! I was always invited in, while he sorted out the cash to pay me. The money went straight into a plastic bag, and hands were washed ASAP. The daughter was backward, and would walk down the road, stop and do three circles, then walk a bit further. She always DRIBBLED when she came to pay in the shop. Wet wipes were allways on hand..
Going to get a beer. I'm in shorts and bare chested again tonight. Don't get excited girls !!!!
I will Watch Richard 111 when Ros is out at the docs tomorrow.

Oh Jane I can just imagine it. When I was a teenager and we had hens, one that got attacked by a rat as a chick had a limp and we spoiled her a bit. She was allowed out in the garden (to get more vitamins and build her up I said. ;-)). The trouble was, Clara would climb the steps into the conservatory and come in the kitchen if she got half a chance. I can hear mum's shrieks now as she shooed her out......guaranteed to cause a poop I would think!! Your friend's place must get in a mess and be hard to clean if she hoards much as well. :-S What kind of work did she do......hope it wasn't in a kitchen! :-0
I meant to say that I sometimes watch time team Mel.

Ann ,I think she joined one of the services for a while (might have been the navy) but I don't really know. She had a very troubled childhood ,but can't elaborate here. She is a very intelligent person and has degrees, but just not the 'norm' .
I'm watching Richard 111,but did have to switch over for Mrs Brown!.It was the last one tonight until December :-( so I couldn't miss that lol
I think it is amazing that Phillipa and Simon have been so passionate about it .That is dedication :-D.Well done to the whole team :-D

Yes we always watch Time Team Mel, wouldn't miss it! Anything like that is a must for us. Off to have a hair cut this morning, not before time as I have let it go a bit!! Will be watching Richard 'later' as 'Lewis' was on last night, and we like that too. They had a small discussion on 'Newsnight' about 'Richard', which we recorded. Should be interesting!

Morning All,
Well the programme was very interesting....won't say more to spoil it for those who will watch it later!
After a very windy night it is sunny here now. OH after another prompting has taken his car to be washed. Well, twice in 2 years ....I ask you!! It used to get cleaned more often when he was at work when I used to take it to be done. His excuse is always that it isn't worth it with all the travel he does as it's filthy again in 5 minutes!! :-S
He has some notes to do then while I change the bed, get some washing on and clean the hall. A woman's work is never done....even when a man helps!! lol. Then we are off out for a carvery and to look at a laptop we think will be ideal.
Good luck at the Dentist William, hope all goes well and that it will be over before you know it! Soup for you today methinks.:-)

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Mandy sorry to hear your under the weather love. I should get to the docs if you are that bad. Sounds nasty. I thought we had.nt heard from you. You take it easy now and I hope you are on the mend soon.
Sun and showers hear and there is hial in those showers. It is a bit colder too. We had blowing hail showers last night before I went to bed. Then oh said they went on in the night.
Just when you think the ground may dry out a bit, it rains............poor chickens are paddling in mud and that dos'nt bode well for egg laying. Which reminds me I must get some up on my table.

Morning everyone,
Just a quick hello as I am running late tonight.
Booked in for my sleep study for 1st March, can't wait to get that out of the way.
Ann I hope you have less pain today. I've tried not to move my arm too quickly and yes Frank, old age is becoming an unwanted friend, lol.
So interesting about Richard 111, the papers have been full of it here. Where will they bury him - Saint Paul's?
You still have DOI. I loved that show and we only had one season I think because there were so many injuries. Is it still hosted by Torvill and Dean? I do love ice dancing so much.
Another sunny day here and not so hot. I think we have seen the last of those blistering temps.
My cat is here playing with the keyboard and generally being a nuisance, so I will sign off. Have a good day and stay safe and warm. :-) 10.06 pm ADST.

Morning all/Evening kim.
Mandy don't worry about not being dressed. I am all showered and shaved, but still sitting around in dressing gown, I do most days. I don't see any point getting dressed if I am comfy, and relaxed. I spent 50 years getting up and and going to work, so now I feel I can do as I like.!!! Hope you are feeling better soon.
No hail here Mel, bright sunshine and it looks like a very cold wind. I won't be going out, so I won't know. <3 <3 <3
I recorded Richard last night,, Ros is only at the doctors for her diabetic check this morning, so won't give me time to watch it. I will do so when I know she's out for a couple of hours. Hope all goes well at the dentist Will, I hate my plates, and try not to wear them every day. Even though I get nagged. !!!
I'm not a regular with Time Team, but do enjoy it when I see it.
When I had my chickens, I let them have the run of the garden to start with. BUT they made such a mess of Ros's borders, I had to net off a large area for them to use. But give them half a chance and they would be out like a shot, straight into the borders. :-D :-D
Better go and get dressed !!!

afternoon All
Take care Mandy <3
Feeling a little better myself today, have got to take old pills (25 mg) for 2 weeks then if no better ,I have to add another 1 10 mg pill and see if there's any improvement. otherwise it's another try with more new pills. I was told at the hospital this head problem will get better but may not go compleatly. Keeping fingers that it does get better.
Was snowing this morning but has all melted and is almost gone.

What made me recall this memory from my childhood, is that it will be 61 years ago tomorrow, that Princess Elizabeth became our Queen at the age of 25 following the death of her father King George VI on the 6th February 1952.
My earliest memories of her are from the very late 1940's, I would only have been about 7 years old at the time.
Her father, her mother, her sister, and her grandmother Queen Mary were visiting Cupar in Fife where the King presented new colours to my fathers regiment, The Fife & Forfar Yeomanry.
The image that I recall most is that of a formidable looking Queen Mary, the then Queen Mother, standing on the podium with a stiff upper lip, wearing a long dress which went down to her ankles, she had a very large hat and a parasol, she looked really scary, many years later my father told me that when she was introduced to the families of the soldiers I was so scared that I hid behind my mother :-(
It must have been a very sad time for our Queen having just lost her father and then a year later, just a couple of months before her coronation, to lose her grandmother.

It's snowing and so cold with that wind.I have the fire lit and have just got another load of logs in,so that should see us through this evening.
Mandy I bet you don't feel like dragging yourself off to the Dr.But you need to get checked out .Good job you managed to get an appointment.Let us know how things go please.
Fiona ,glad to see you still posting and that the tablets are still doing their job :-D
David have you any snow?BIG Flakes here now :-S they are coming down sideways.
Hannah rang .John had a CT scan this morning ,another camera up and down his nose, and bloods taken. He will have an Ultra Sound later this week and then go for results next Monday. It's all a bit scary I think for him as his mind is working overtime :-(
The Recycling bins need to go out.I think I'll get James to do that lol
