Dad used to do Drop Scones often for Sunday Tea Mel.Mmmmmm Delicious :-D I had to laugh just now.Hannah sent a pic of their bed which had been a problem putting together. They had put the headboard on back to front and couldn't get the screws out again.Chris suggested how to get them out .Anyway they have managed to fix it.But the bed is MASSIVE .It almost fills the bedroom lol.Luckily they have a kind of walk in wardrobe so don't need to worry about fitting one in.She said a small bedside table should go one side and hopefully a small chest of drawers somewhere. As I said better to have a big bed than one too small :-D ;-) The woman who lives in the flat downstairs owns it,as does the chap above in the studio flat.We met her coming out and she seems very nice. She has a lovely little Staffie called Billy who came to greet us.So H&J are the only ones renting in the house ,which is good I think . There is some beautiful stained glass in the front door of the house.Someone has put a notice up asking not to slam the door as the glass is quite fragile.I should have taken a pic as it is very pretty. In fact the road they are living in has some lovely architecture.I will take some photos next time as I can't really explain.
John has his appointment at the ENT hosp on Tues .I know he isn't looking forward to it as he doesn't fancy having the camera thing put up his nose and down throat again.
Pat ,I just looked at the pic of Mocha and Max again. It did make me smile.I think it is lovely
:-D

Rvrning all,
MR. S on t.v. so i'm out of the way. Took me a bit of time to read the posts.
No dinner today, After getting it all ready, making the pudding and cheese sauce. Ros decided about 4.00 pm that she felt this sickness again, she thinks it might be a change of tablets that's caused it. So didn't want me to cook dinner. I ended up frying a couple of sausages and putting them in rolls with brown sauce. Filled a gap, so I didn't mind, and no clearing away to do. Hopefully she will fancy it tomorrow, or I will cook for myself.
Glad you had a good day with Hannah and John. Disd you let Chris loose with his tool box ???
Congratulations on your Wedding Anniversary Anne, six months behind mine. Or six months ahead if you like !!!
Great photo's of the babies and the dogs folks. You must be very proud.
Bins back to normal tomorrow. The snow seems ages ago now.
Dropped scones was my ex MIL every Sunday teatime with butter and Strawberry jam. When I was in the Forces, she always made me cakes and apple turnovers to take back on a Sunday evening. The guys in the billit were allways waiting for my return. !! we would have a feast on the goodies.
See you all tomorrow.
GOOD NIGHT SLEEP TIGHT.

I see Frank is awake !!!! 2 emails :-D :-D :-D
Brilliant 'Call the Midwife' tonight.I can't be bothered with Mr Selfridge any more.Just lost interest in it :-S and I find him irritating.
I wonder if I will hear anything about my car tomorrow.I have hardly used the courtesy car.James has had it more than me.But as Chris has been off most of this week I have been using his.He is back to work tomorrow :-D :-D House my own again ;-)
Ann I hope that your side has improved today and that you will have a better sleep tonight. Chris and I have had nothing to eat sine we got home .Our lunch was enough to last us.I had the best Omelet with a filling of ham ,mushrooms and cheese ,and some very thin chip things with the skins on (scrummy).Mango Sorbet after which gave me a big Ice pain in my eye :-S :-S You know what I mean?Hannah was in stitches when I had it.But boy was it painful.I gave the rest of the sorbet to John,to help his throat lol.Ice Cream headache used to plague me as a child.
:-S.Watching Women behind bars now ,but think I will be off to be very soon.

Hello everyone,
Sunny and very windy here today. Got some washing done at last after days of heavy rain.
Happy wedding anniversary to Fiona and Ann. I hope you are feeling improved Fiona.
I think I've torn something between the elbow and the shoulder joint of my right arm. I can't do much without pain. Have been taking anti-inflammatories to no avail. I think the needle will be inevitable. OUCH
I am enjoying all the emails and photos. Max is a cutie Pat.
Had an email from a distant relative who has a sister that lives near me. They will be up this way later in the month and hoping to exchange some family tree info. on my father's side. I'm hoping she has some photos that I can scan. She has gone much further than I have with one line and has bought the certificates that I don't have. Looking forward to meeting them.
Not much happening here. OH has gone to an appointment, daughter is working and the boy is off to his guitar lesson. I think it's chocolate time. I've got a hidden stash.
;-)
Take care everyone, have a good day. I might be back later. 5.25 pm ADST

Morning all and evening Kim.
A lovely sunny morning here today. Im glad Mocha and Max are getting on well..With all the chasing around and playing they are getting plenty of exercise..Now the nights are getting lighter an Alan finishing work at 4 we will both have to walk them..I cant manage then on my own at the moment..
We got them both weighed yesterday and Max is slightly heaver..He will eat everything but Mocha takes his time w ith his food...He will eat his as well if given the chance..We are still using the food Max was given but we will change it soon.
I had 2 surprises at the weekend..Leigh my eldest son was over from Paris to watch his eldest play in the semi finals with his team..They won.So I saw him and kristie my granddaughter. Then gareth rang up sunday lunch time and said they were driving up from Dover to see us..So I saw another 3 grandchildren..They like to play dominoes with me so we had quite a few games.
Max was rehoused because his owner was expecting another baby,,A surprise one...She already had 3 and was finding she couldnt give max all the attention he needed.I suppose money would be tight as well..but he is enjoying a lot of attention here..Even Mocha doesnt want me as much now :-( :-( :-(
Catch you later

Morning all,/Evening Kim.
Nice to see Kim about, hope that shoulder eases up for you. It could be something call "OLD AGE" :-D :-D :-D I wake every morning with aches and pains, I try to kid myself "it's the way I laid in bed" !!
Those two little dogs seem to be getting on so well. You will now need to put two in kennels for holidays now !!!
I hope I didn't offend anyone today with THAT Email. but thought I knew you all well enough to forward IT !! Where do these come from.??? I thought the dog one was good.
Sunshine and cold wind again today, so I am going to stay put.
Glad you had a good day yesterday Jane.
Ros has taken the car in this morning to have new Brake discs and pads. Next door neighbour took her and will do so again when the car is ready. Very good price considering. £55.00 parts £30.00 labour. I looked on Ebay to but the brake set and they were over £50.00. So they aren't overcharging me.

Kim I hope the shoulder gets easier soon. You don't realize how little things can make something like that hurt. Just the smallest move and the musles pull on the wrong place.
Frank we used to have the drop scones for Sunday tea too with homemade Strawberry jam and butter. I could'nt be bothered to find the straawberry jam last night and thats why we had apricot. It needs finishing up anyway.
Found a recipe for coffee and walnut butterfly buns which I shall probably make later in the week but without the butterfly bit on top, just the buttercream and a half a walnut I think.
Was it Ann anniversary too? as well as Fiona's????????

Afternoon All,
No it wasn't my anniversary........mines in September. :-) lol.
Kim I know just what you mean, a wrong twist or turn and we are laid up!! I hope your arm improves quickly. I'm pleased to say I was back on 2 pillows instead of 3 last night and today my side is much better than it was. I bet that stash of chocolate is getting topped up from time to time! lol. It will be great for you to get more info for your tree and I love it when there are photos too.....really brings your rellies to life.
No, I don't usually get irritable bowel syndrome David,........... I get occasional irritable husband syndrome though! ;-) I think I had just wrenched a muscle where my ribs are. The pain was quite high up.
Sounds like you will have your hands full with those two now Pat. It's good that they don't fight over food, even if Mocha needs to nosh his a bit quicker!! I bet the grandchildren love you having another dog.
Frank, that sounds a very reasonable price to me for the brakes. I'm sure mine cost a lot more than that last year when I had mine done.
The flat sounds good Jane and I hope they are both very happy there. House to yourself? Make the most of it while you can. :-D
Our paper today is full of Richard111. I see they have already decided to bury him at the Cathedral opposite where he was found. We used to have our Founders Day Service in the Cathedral each year. OH wants me to wait till he is back from footie to watch the programme later. He says we can speed through all the adverts then......he has a point.

Frank, nice one with the emails again. However, the ones with the dogs - one complaining there were no cars named after dogs - what about 'Rover's'?
Been watching the birds coming to and fro this morning. Mr Robin was back and forth, and we have named the Dunnock 'Mallen' as he has a white feather that sticks out of the side of his wing on one side. Then I wondered about our two pigeons, they are always backwards and forwards to the bird table. BUT, how come a bird that can find it's way hundreds of miles back home, can't work out within10 minutes how to get onto a bird table? The two of them this morning, one on the adjacent birdbath, the other on the roof of the bird table - they turned round and round for ages until they fathomed out how to alight on the food platform!! Daft I call it . . .
Recorded and then watched our 'edited' version of DOI last night. Although we enjoyed the actual dance routines, the skate off was a total farce. Joe Pasquale still in it, two very good skaters in the skate off! Joe, I'm sorry, you are hopeless, do the decent thing - abdicate before the stupid phone-in's end up voting you the winner :-( I think next week I won't bother to record the skate off at all.

Shame you won't have your car till then Jane.......seems a long time to get the part here? You haven't really had the most use out of this car have you. When I started mine up this morning it told me the 'parking assistance' was 'faulty'. I thought it must be the handbrake, but the next 2 times I started up there was no message! When I got home OH pointed out that it must mean the parking sensors not the handbrake, so maybe they had dirt on them. I know his have stopped working when they are iced up. Time will tell, but I must remember not to reverse into anything in case they don't beep. :-0
Yes, Richard is to stay near where he was found. The pictures in that link show his spine was in an awful state. It must have given him pain I would think......no Ibu*rofen in those times!!

I didn't know that David.
I agree with William about DOI. I only record it now and whoosh through all the boring bits to the skating and scores. How ridiculous that 2 of the best performers were in the skate off this week. I can't stand either of the presenters either. :-S
Well, it looks like my old school, Alderman Newton Girls Grammar School, next to where they found Richard is a leading contender to become the new Richard 111 Museum. It hasn't been a school for ages. We moved to a new school that was built for the girls while I was there and then the boy's school took it over after we moved out. How exciting if they do ......I'll get a chance to look around the old school building again. :-)

David, I hope Joe Pasquale was better at working in the abbatoir than he is trying to ice skate! Not that he pretends he is, but it's become a farce.
Dentists tomorrow, big root to be extracted then I have to have a plate for three months before I can decide if I want bridge work. Not looking forward to any of it. Gonna eat all my choccy bars and peanuts tonight to make up for it ;-)
