Morning everyone,
Jane glad you had a great night out for Chris's celebration dinner. Where did you go?
Just a question if any of you can remember. That little girl who was abducted in Wales last year, did they ever find her? I know the neighbour was the suspect. I was following it at the time. It was tragic to watch her parents go through that agony.
Frank hope Ros is feeling better today and back on her food. My OH has been put on a diet by my doctor. Following a diet sheet with protein, fruit and veggies and nuts, but no dairy, sugar or grains. He was very tired for the first few days, but has lost 5 kgs. already. He does go to the gym 3 days per week, but the weight was still going on. I'm guessing the sugar might be playing a big part. He's drinking black tea, coffee and just having water. I've eaten all the chocolate, so that temptation has been removed. ;-)
Lots of rain here today, so the garden is getting a good soak. More tornadoes heading for Queensland and flooding expected to be worse than 2010/2011. It was so bad then.
So stay safe all. No more falls, bruises or bumps. Have a good day. :-) 5.35 pm ADST

Mel and Mandy he's been on the diet 5 days. He's eating very good meals - 3 protein meals with veggies or salad plus 2-3 pieces of fruit and nuts. He is carrying too much fat around the middle where it's dangerous. Said he feels much lighter and more energy today. It is for 30 days, so will be reviewed at next doctor's visit.
Mandy so sad. I hoped they would find her as it happened so quickly.
I'm watching the Australian Open final with Murray and Novak. Murray was doing well, but Jochovitch seems to have found his mojo. Hope Andy can make his way back, he has a lot of fans out here.

I will start with good morning as it's 1 minute to 12.
Very heavy rain and wind last night, cleared all the snow away. The bins are still out, with bags, standing along side, some of those took a spin around the close last night. :-D :-D :-DRos had to go out about midnight to put bricks on ours. More to go out today, the refuge lorries will be full to overflowing around the village tomorrow. Bright sunshine here, with strong winds still.
Glad you had a good evening outr Jane, I don't suppose I would know the restaurant ???
Well done you OH Kim, thats a lot of weight to loose. Conrad has been on a gluton free diat for some time now, and has lost a lot of weight. He eats mounds of VEG,. No bread and tends only to drink water.
Ros is going to an exibition at 2.00 pm with a friend down the road. We will have a late dinner. Roast Pork, James Martin style, will see how it turns out. !!! TWO CHANCES !!!
Mel I forgot to send you my bruise photo. Do you want to see it ???

Hello boys and girls. Firstly FRANK what a cracking bruise that is ,and secondly you have a fine looking leg and cheek ;-).I assume the other side is the same but minus that humongous bruise.
Ann what a sweet Robin.I love the way he it cocking his head :-D
I have sent 1 pic from last night.
This morning I went to the Garden Centre and bought a Chiminea for Chris's present. It is in the boot of my car t the moment.I will have to get James to sneak it in for me.Hannah and John will be off in about half an hour. Then the rest of will have lunch .At 5 Chris,James and Jess are going to see the film Lincoln .
There is no snow left now after that horrendous rain and wind in the night. It is a bit worrying again as the culvert up by the first house is full of water and there is water in the drive of that house :-S :-S
Oven is pinging BBL

Jane, I told you I didn't want to excite you. lol lol
I have just got a ROLLICKING from Ros. Her friend turned up, and she wasn't ready. I got blamed for not telling her the TIME. I said you have got eyes in your head. !!!! With that I got BOLL##S, and she stormed out. Can't win can I ???
All our little ceramic pots on the doorstep have fallen apart from the frost and snow. They will have to be replaced next time she goes to the garden centre. MORE EXPENSE. I have been looking for tyre prices on line. Some look very good till you look into them. BOGOF from national company. but only on the most obscure sizes. My size are £70.00 per tyre. Stuff that. I will find something cheaper.
Beautiful afternoon here now, sun is quite warm through the windows. still a stong wind though

My goodness that wind is really strong !!!!.The sun is shining brightly(I have had to pull the curtains). The heating is off.I turned it back to twice a day last night, but I have lit the fire :-D.
Just going to dish up grub now.Pork Steaks, and a massive amount of tray roasted veg and pots.Lots of lovely Thyme sprinkled over it all.It smells great :-D

Snow completely gone here. It looked so nice and sunny so I went out to tidy the garden, didn't stay out there very long, it was colder than it looked.
Kim aren't you good making such a sacrifice and eating the chocolates so OH didn't get tempted ;-)
I thought the police had arrested someone regarding the little girl in Wales, heartbreaking for the parents, like that poor mother of child murdered by Mira Hinley they never did find his body and she died never knowing where he was.
Some good TV on tonight for a change.

Frank ,naughty you ,nor reminding Ros the time..Tut Tut ;-).What a shame about those pots of yours.I am just keeping everything crossed that my Olive Trees have survived. They have been wrapped in fleece so hopefully will be ok.
Yes Mandy everything is really mucky now.My car in particular is a disgrace.I might take it the people at Tes** car park tomorrow while I do my shopping. They do a fantastic job.

Afternoon all, what a change from last week eh?
We did the washing yesterday and after this mornings rain I put it all out on the line around 9am because there was a good blow and a clear sky. Then we decided we'd been cooped up too much all week and a drive over to Rugby (30 minutes) via the lanes would be nice and we could look round the clock tower shopping mall. We usually get some good shopping over there and then a visit to Asd*'s cafe for a bite and a drink makes a good whistle stop before we finish the shops and make our way home. We'd just left Rugby and the sky looked ominous, then, you've guesed it, the heavens opened. It's nice looking a rainbows but not when you know your line of dry washing is now a line of soaking wet washing! It's all on the airer or radiators now - why oh why did I bother?
Ann, your photo of the robin was absolutely A1, you'd think he sat there and posed for you. We have had some great photos via all the members, pity we couldn't have some sort of on-line gallery for them all.
Frank, that is one really nasty bruise you have there. I usually wolf-whistle at a nice pair of legs, but when they look like they have a map of some foreign country on them, like yours did, I draw the line!!! :-S Am I right in thinking they recommend whitch hazel for bruises?

Afternoon All,
My oh my, what a sight your bruise is Frank! Now you have a photo for posterity or should I say OF posterity!! lol. It was a really nasty fall to have done that.
Nice pic of the family Jane and I love Jess's hair in that style. Like your new avatar pic too.
Mel, you did well to get any of the LTT! They are one of the quickest little birds. I am curious about the orange pot feeder with big holes hanging nearby ........what do you put in that? :-S
Yes our snow is all gone too. We went to Hob*ycraft at Tamworth this morning (I had a 25% off voucher) and travelling there we saw quite a lot of flooding, some quite near to houses. :-0 With rain forecast for the next few days it can only get worse. We said just the same Mandy about how drab and dirty everything looked. They didn't have the 1 thing I wanted from Hob*ycraft, but I managed to find plenty of other things including some narrow jawed pliers. I have another ordinary pair, but sometimes you need 2 pairs at once.. OH can have his pair I borrowed back now. :-) We had another voucher for the garden centre carvery so called in there on the way back.
Your OH has done well to lose that much weight Kim. The diet is obviously working. Sounds like you have more rain and floods to come too.

We watched a programme earlier today about the man Gill, who drew the saucy seaside postcards you used to see. He was a very victorian gentleman apparently and had a wooden leg. I never knew that some cards had been banned as too suggestive or that he had been imprisonned. When you consider what children can look at on the internet these days it seems laughable. OH's comment afterwards was 'Isn't it funny how the word 'PRUDE' has the word 'RUDE' in it . I must say I'd never thought of that!! lol.
I'll be interested to know what they think of the film LINCOLN, Jane as OH wants to go and see it tomorrow afternoon.

Ann you can make one of those feeders I have out there by drilling holes through a log. One one way and the next opposit so you have three facing one way and three the other. I shall have to find out how big the holes are.
I fill it with fat sticks we buy in the garden center you get 6 sticks which I cut into three so two sticks fill the feeder. Oh bought me three packs for Christmas. The holey feeder was bought for mum originally but only one set of sticks was bought and I popped it in the cupboard in the corner and forgot about it till I was looking for something else. The T*ts love it and not all the birds can get on it. The woodpecker can and thats why it is near the kitchen window as it dos'nt come to there.
