Heard on the grapevine that Baby Grace's cold has got worse so what with that and the weather that's forecast, methinks her first birthday tea will be postponed.

OMG Wouldn't you know i'd just sent Email to GR telling them i've been trying since Xmas to get into my account---BINGO-- Gave it one more shot & here it worked :-S :-S :-D :-D

Hope baby Grace gets better for her birthday--all that cake --William why doesn't Mum take a piece like you do with wedding cake and put it away for her ;-)

Soaps,Soaps, Soaps, I am getting feed up to the teeth with them, they take up one and a half hours every day. All doom and Gloom, It gets right on my wick.

That wind has really turned cold, I went to the bin, and came in like a whippet. :-D :-D Mind you I am now down to shorts and bare chest.

Jane, I have found that I lay in bed at night with my arms out of bed. I now put a T shirt on, and my shoulder is much better. Get rid of those silk nighties, and get something round your shooulders ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Shirl, it should be us worrying about you. 15 below and falling. Do be careful if you go out, we don't want you falling over.!!!!

Nice easy dinner tonight, Pork ribs, Chips and curried beans, made a nice change from VEG, VEG, Veg.

Glad you all enjoyed the Emails, some were very good. Thanks to my old school pal, that we get them.

By jove it's got colder and windier through the day, nothing like poor Shirl's bitterly cold temperatures though. We've just had miserable rain for the last few hours......I think I prefer the snow!

You don't know what's going on Mel? Well I got a birthday card from Shirl today too, so she sure is getting ahead with her cards. Thank you Shirl. :-) I will be keeping mine until my birthday.................in July. :-D. It made OH snigger when I told him Shirl is trying to make me old before my time!!! LOL.

Oh Frank, you will have to take more care......your poor head will have 'eggs' all over it with these bumps, just like in the cartoons. I think you need some of those 'mechanical trousers' like Wallace wore in 'The Wrong Trousers'. Once they were strapped on you couldn't fall over and if Ros had the controls she could march you where she liked! :-D

I took my glasses back this morning. The 4 corners of each lens have some damage. I had noticed one corner was marked when I tried them on but thought it was just where they hadn't cleaned up their marks properly. After all, you can't see properly without your glasses on can you!! With a bit of careful negotiation, rather than fit new lenses, I got to keep these, so I can do closework, and they will get new ones made up for me ASAP. I went a little further and asked nicely if they could compensate me in some way and they agreed to put some stronger, more expensive lenses in for me, at no extra charge, also to chase up the factory daily!! Not a bad result really, as I will end up with 2 pairs and can keep the ones with the damaged corners to use in the garden and to do any painting.

Three things made me despair today. The first was a lady who told me part of her job was to take women and their children to visit prisons. She looked after the children while the women visited their prisoner husbands for the purpose of conjugal rights! All paid for by the taxpayer. The second was reading that some local dog walkers have been throwing their filled poop bags into the local school. The third was hearing on the news about that poor little 4 month old baby in hospital having his dummy taped to his mouth by a member of staff!! Apart from being so cruel he could so easily have choked .........do people have no sense or caring!

Off to bed now, hope you have a better night Mel.........sometimes I think I see more of the night than the day. lol.

We didn't get as much snow as they said we would , just about an inch !! it's nice and sunny here so hopefully if the temp come up the snow will be on its way !!

Shirl, it's my birthday on the 11th Feb !! LOL

What a bother having to keep taking your glasses back Ann, every thing seems to come with problems these days , handy though being able to keep the first pair as a spare .

Mandy we had about the same amount of snow.Now it is thawing fast.It sounds like a waterfall from one of out gutters !
I'm going have a quick flick around with the duster then a coffee and get ready for picking Hannah and John up from the station.

Morning All and Evening Kim,

Well what a night we had. First it poured with rain then the wind got up. There was me trying to watch the telly and hearing the wind whistleing around, the roof creaking and growing and I decided to go and make sure there were no windows open. When I went into the hallway the bl**dy front door was open!!!!!!!! Oh could'nt have shut it properly when he collected the mail yesterday. By this time too the heating had gone off. :-(

Anyway today is much warmer and the wind has gone and the sun is out here and there. Skies a bit cloudy and grey though inbetween.

I thought that report about the baby having a dummy tapped to his mouth was absolutely awful too Ann. What a thing to do in any circumstances.

Are you all ok today and Jane is it today that Hannah and John come to yours? Hope they have a safe journey up.

Morning everyone,

Australia Day here today, lots of celebrations, fireworks, tall ships on the harbour, ferry boat races and citizenship ceremonies occurring all over. A quiet one for me and OH. I've been thinking of my marine who arrived on the Sirius all those years ago. What must he have thought of the place???? Let's sail back home. ;-)

Frank hope your lumps and bumps are healing. I've been knocking myself around too and wrecked my right shoulder. Feels like I need a cort**one shot in it.

My daughter had her first driving lesson on the boyfriend's property. That went well. :-0 A few hundred dollars damage later and all is just ducky!!! She tells me she's a good driver, hasn't got the L's yet or even passed the test to get them. Holy cow, what's it going to be like when she's out on the roads??

It was only 31 here today, but so humid. Got all the washing done and I hope we are in for some rain. The weather is bringing out all the spiders again and they are coming inside. I've got my eye on one at the moment on the wall. I need to know where he's going so I can call OH to deal with him. :-0

Sorry that Fiona is not well again. I hope her doctors can sort the problem out.
