Morning All,

Crisp and bright here and a bit more snow but not much.

William you will be safe there.....I'm not going behind the bike sheds........too much smoke from all the fags!!!! :-0 Actually, I would be with you regarding some council employees including teachers.. I have seen and heard enough incompetence and inefficiency, just from the course I'm on and work OH does!

I joined GR a few years before I used the chat boards. We weren't on the internet at home then, so I used the free library computers at first. You booked time slots, so there wasn't enough time for research and chatting. lol

I hope Frank managed to get a comfortable night's sleep. He must be all colours of the rainbow by now.

Nice to hear from you Kim and that you have escaped all the fires that are happening. It must be awful where they are going on, as if it isn't hot enough already without adding fire heat let alone all the destruction it causes.!!!

I love the pic of Merlin Liz. I saw some Exmoor foals last night on Countryfile I'd recorded recently. They were so pretty and all huddled together as they were being transported to someone to tame them down and get them used to being handled and led. Tough little chaps in their long winter coats they reminded me of my Welsh foal when I got him. Some of his winter coat was 4 inches long on his front legs and his little ears were full of fur.

Well, I'd better go and get my specs at last. I hope they are ok now.

Have emailed a couple of pics of Robby feeding off my hand the other day.

The trees out the front which I can see over the wall are filled with crows at the mo. I think they are all having a warm up in the sunshine.

Bruise is well out now, and not so tender to touch.

Got to be at doctors for 3.30 pm for Testostern injection and injection in mt knee. Ros is going to take me in case I stumble after the knee injection.

Must go and find something for dinner tonight. Quick and simple me thinks. Spag Bol comes to mind.

Hi again all, first off, I phoned our council re-cycling about recycle bin being collected tomorrow. (Main roads great, our Close, we could rent it out as a skating rink!) They said, put your bin out as usual in the morning, leave it out, if it's not collected Friday it will be collected Saturday. Can't grumble at that.

Frank, hope the back and the bruises are improving, keep rubbing in the oils and keep taking the tablets. One or the other will do the trick in the end. I think I will play it safe and call her ShirTy in future, pick and mix as they say.

Liz, better to be a day ahead with a birthday than a day behind. As long as you know when your birthday is, that's the main thing.

In case the weather is too bad on Saturday to go to Grace's birthday tea, I went along this morning and took her card and her present. So that's a bonus, seeing our lovely little girl anyway. She has a cold at the moment (snotty nose I think the term is) but in spite of it she is still her happy smiling self, bless her.

Mel, loved your photo feeding the robin. What a priviledge that must be, so trusting and tame. And to take a picture too, that is a real bonus.
I've been out and got an extra bird feeder this morning, had to put another bracket on the fence so that we can watch any birds that come to it. I guess I should have a 'Grand Opening' sign put up so they know it's there for them ;-)

you were talking about perms the other day..When I was small before the quick prms my mum used to take me to the hairdressers and I had very heavy clips put on my hair..They were so heavy I could hardly left my head..I hope they wernt plugged into the elctric as well.

First time on here today.Chris had had my laptop all day sorting out and fixing problems with it.
I think the temp could go down to -10 tonight :-S :-S,and then it looks like more snow tomorrow.James 's girlfriend is coming up from Kent and gets in to the station here at 9pm,so I hope she doesn't have problems.Then Hannah and John are coming on Saturday morning!.So I'm keeping everything crossed that everyone gets here.

I counted 14 Wood Pidgeons all together earlier !!I'm going to have to stop spreading the Bird Seed all along the bottom of the big hedge.Poor smaller birds didn't really get a look in :-|

Evening everyone ,

I think we have had quite a thaw today, still snow packed down hard on the road ,i don't think the temp got down very low last night as i noticed when we got up the snow had slid off the church roof .
Yesterday the work man were throwing snowballs at the snow that was hanging over the edge ,on one side of the roof the snow has bent all the guttering ,this bit they were trying to get down was just over their Portaloo !!

Got some jobs done , hubby still carn't get the bulb in the light so his electrician friend is coming to do it tomorrow for him.

We have emailed a photo of the part we need for the shower door to Matki so just have to hope they still make this type of hinge .

Dear little dog too, i noticed in our local paper there were two dogs that had fallen through the ice on ponds ,both got out i'am pleased to say , i don't know why they don't keep the leads on the dogs when they know there's ponds !!

Hope you got on ok at the doctors Frank,and that you didn't have to be injected near any of your bruises !! :-0

Evening all, All feed and watered as they say. Ros made a Spag Bol. Which was excellant. She has washed and dryed up as well. I must be in her good books.

Drs went O.K. He gave me my Testostone Injuction, then a pain killer in my knee before squirting 80 mg of Whatever it was. I think it was Jane said yesterday. When I left his room, He said goodbye B'worth STUD and had a good chuckle. Got to go back for more in three weeks. He is also going to explain the after effects of it. I HOPE IT'S NOT A STIFF NECK :-D :-D :-D :-D. When he saw my bruises he asked if Ros had pushed me down the stairs. He knows what's she's like lol lol

Road round the close is very bad, solid ice. What with the two holes in the road and all the B cars parked this end, I expect a prang any time soon. I made Ros park further down the drive this afternoon.

Glad you been to see your G daughter Will. Just in case you can't get there on Saturday.

No sign here of any bin activity. I bet they will collect Black bin (last weeks) on Monday. I can't think anybody has any Green bin rubbish anyway.

I think it has turned milder, or this bungalow is too hot. I am in shorts again this evening and sweating like a PIG. (NO COMMENTS)

I hope they do still stock that hinge Mandy.It will be a pain to have to pay out a lot of dosh for new shower ,floor etc all for sake of 1 hinge :-S

Thawing going on here too.I have been watching an icicle growing on my neighbours guttering.But it will all freeze up again tonight.I think think we are all fed up with it now.And now they are warning of possible flooding in some areas !!!!
My heating must have been on 24hours a day for a couple of weeks now ! I won't be turning it off tonight either lol

How's the old bruiser tonight?? I hope your injection in the knee wasn't too excruciating Frank.Just hope it does the trick for you.

Pasta tonight with Tomato and Basil sauce.I have added some chopped mushrooms and pancetta cubes.Garlic Ciabbata on the side.

Mandy you mentioned dogs going through the ice.I remember some years ago now at Wicksteed Park a mans 2 Staffies jumped in the lake and through the ice.The man went in after them and couldn't get out.The fire Brigade had to put ladders stretched out over the ice ,then a fireman crawled on his tummy over the ladders.Another fireman followed a bit behind and took the dogs when they were hauled out.The man was then pulled out and he had to crawl back to the side of the lake.It was very scary just watching it,so heaven knows what it was like for the man and dogs......But yes people need to keep their thinking caps on and keep dogs on leads around frozen water.Some folk have no common sense :-S :-S

Frank I am very disappointed with you sending me that forwarded email.. :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| oh saw it and told me to delete it straight away and I got a nasty look and a lecture. It did state to COPY AND PASTE IT TO SEND IT TO EVERYONE. If you do that it is only your email address that gets passed to me and now my email address is there for everyone to see which is how people hack into your pc. Through the email addresses that people pass on.

Sorry for the lecture but it should be an eye opener to all of you who send collective emailed emails.

Thank you all very much for your good wishes, (and thank you Kim!!). Apart from feeling VERY old I'm having a brilliant day, mind you it's only 9.30!!!! My D.I.L sent me a card with an a lady of mature years sitting in a deck chair sipping tea stark naked except for a large sun hat(!) with her husband in the background equally starkers mowing the lawn!!! How I laughed, clearly that is how my D.I.L perceives me!!!!! Still cold and looking grey!

Raining here and oh has gone up the church about this new boiler they need.

Could'nt go to sleep last night. Was still awake at just after 4 am and then oh woke up and put the telly on. That was it I had to get up and go in the spare room where I lay awake for ages and ages. Dropped off eventually.
