You can also get off the same shelf mashed potatoe in similar containor or mashed potatoe with grated savoy.
A very convenient way of cooking for one or two.

But expensive cooking David.

Would never think of buying food like that. It doesen't take long to prepare and you know it's O.K. and who's handled it.

No more snow here, but you can see the frost on the paths and on our road. It never gets gritted, even if this lasts till March !!

Ros is watching her Jewellery channel, so I will have a game of cards, then yo bed for a read.

Have chopped up the steak, and all the veg for the stew. MADAM is checking in over, I tent to cut the veg to big, fussy woman, she should be glad I did it <3 <3 <3

Neighbour went to get his paper this morning and cleared a hole in the screen about the size of a tea plate. DANGEROUS OR WHAT. !!!!

Birds all feed and watered, We have a blackbird that sits on the bush looking in the lounge window, I think he is telling me when he wants more food.

Carolyn has just phoned, so I expect they will be off shopping. I have a list of things I want, so they will call into Tesc# while out. I can have a while with my book.

I've been up over 2 hours Frank!! Cheeky wotsit!!

No more snow here but I could hear the neighbour's car crackling and crunching!! Mandy, I think you have more snow than us, looking at those chairs!! About half of ours has melted and frozen. I expect it will be bad along the lanes when we go for our carvery today. It has been bad with slippy mud the last few weeks from all the big farm vehicles......ice on top of that now....great!!

OH decided to give up the custody visits as he has a lot of other work coming in now and is walking to hand in his things at HQ down the road........wearing his deep tread trainers!!

I loved the video of Chester Jane....he had definately picked up a scent!! How nice you will now have 'movies' of him for the future.

I'am about Frank,i was up at 7-30 cheeky boy !!
Lovely sunny morning here ,no more snow over night but we should get more later i think.
We must have had a good four/five inches ,hubby has been out and cleared the paths , its thawing as the snow is dropping off the telephone wires and the trees .

Hubby is home ,he carn't do much in this weather ,i think its a day for keeping in.

You wer'nt being cheeky to me Frank as I got up at nearly 10am.

Beautifull sunny day here. Been down and done the bantams and Robby came and took two fat sticks off my hand. They were the only two in my pocket so I came in and got some more and my camera and he would'nt come to me again!! :-(

Oh put my camera out yesterday afternoon while I was shopping but I only got a very small shot of the mouse under the hedgehog box and the bl**dy cat AGAIN and I am not putting any food out now I know I was feeding the cat.

Oh moved the camera this morning and we have very blurred pics of the Willy Wagtail, Robin, Wren and the pheasent feed off mealworms on the filter box to his pond just off the patio. At the mo I have it on the kitchen windowsill hoping to get Norman Nuthatch on the bird feeder with Malcolm Marshtit and the Berty Bluetits. Shall see if the window is clean enough son.

We had a very hard hail shower last night quite late which covered the cars and the road but it was all gone within about 5 mins.

Am envious of Mandy's snow.......................... :-|

I have had real trouble signing in to my pooter .It didn't seem to want my password ,and I knew it was right.But eventually it worked.

No way were we going walkies this morning.It was just a potter in the garden as it was safer on the snow rather than risk the pavement.It is lethal out there.
Fitz just called in to pick up his specs on the way to the dentist and he said he just only made it up the slope from his house and was sliding all over the place.

Mandy it looks as though you had more snow than us.Looks like you might get more today too.We are keeping the heating on 24hrs,just turning it lower at night.

Just about to lay the fire and get that going.James can get the logs in :-D

Mel, I had to smile about all the names for your feathered friends. Pleased you have found out that you are feeding the cats. Just like us, it seems as soon as you put anything out for the birds, round comes the cats. There are three next door but one, and it seems there is always one in our garden.

Stew is on and smelling great. couple of bowles of that tonight, that will warm the cockles.

Ros has taken over the lounge table, making jewellery. She is making a "thank you" necklace, bracelet and ear rings for Carolyn. to take and wear in U.S.A.

The sun is quite warm through the window, and the thaw seems to be getting under way, for a short time, before freezing again tonight. MINUS SIX is being forcast.

Jane , some "imports" ie forwarding fom another site and another site before that etc can be laden with viruses.

Some find a way from your in box to your documents to your C drive perhaps ro ebay or your online banking....................

I recently was locked our of 2 different e-mail addresses because some shy te has used the back door WAP to change my passwords and answers to secret quesrions so that I couldn't identify myself to Yahoo or MSN

The Police are looking into it.

Well that was quite a snow fall,it's just eased up, nearly an hour of heavy snow every where covered again ,it was so bad you could hardly see down the road !!
We now have fine snow falling ,by the sound of things we are in for some more !!

No snow here but cold and some sunshine.

Great video Jane , a great sniffer it looked like Chester was, mind you I nearly creaked my neck while watching the video I had to lean over sideways to the left :-) must be some way to put it up straight?

Managed to get into town this morning by taxi, paid the bills and bought a pair of cords in Marks.
bought some shampoo and photo paper and ink for the printer. then got a taxi home. I was glad to get in and put on a cup of hot chocolate, and a sit down for a rest, But it was good to get out of the house for a while.

Nice to see you going out again Fiona. Hubby will soon be home again.

Sun has been in and out all day. We have had some very threatening looking clouds but nothing has happened.

Hav'nt got on well today at all. Did a BIG pot of homeade soup and we both had two mugs full at lunchtime.


When I got in yesterday after shopping, there on the table was a little tiny vase that looked like ivory. Oh had made it while I was out and it is turned from some kind of foreign nut that looks like horse droppings to start with. I had asked him if it was plastic, because I know you can turn that and buy blanks. I had seen the nuts but never imagined they would turn!! out like that.

He has been looking at some tops and thinking of making another one for the little boy who comes and listens to the bells each Sunday morning at Okehampton.

Frank, maybe Genes should come to the rest of us for a reference for you;. After, most of ua pay a subscription to Genes otherwise it would fold up. I'm sure you would get a lot of positive references from all of the rest of us.

I just loved the video you emailed yesterday with the little mongel boy and the dog. It was so touching. My daughter has a big softie of a dog, Ben by name, and from a rescue home. He was very timid at first but now knows that everyone he comes into contact has nothing but love for him - and he gives right back - 100%. If he sits on your foot you certainly know he's there. But - when the grandchildren (our GREAT grandchildren) come to visit, and with Grace we're talking under one year, he is so gentle and puts up with absolutely anything. He just wants to be near them and share his big sloppy love with them.
The only thing is, with three little ones around there's not space for his big body - so when they finally go he breathes a big sigh of relief and stretches out in the middle of the floor.

What would we do without our, or someone elses, pets, bless 'em.

I cannot understand these people who hack into computers and put viruses on them, I could see why if they were making money out of it but just to cause hassle for someone else doesn't make any sense to me.

Snow has all gone from here but it is very cold so maybe more on the way.

For anyone who finds the normal TV channels rubbish tonight try the Freeview channel Yesterday, a programme called Find My Past at 9.00pm, I watched it last week about 3 unrelated people who all had an ancestor involved in the Great Escape, it was really interesting, tonight they are people connected in some way to Charles Dickens, hope it's as good.

The creators of the viruses,and they are created,are intelligent people.
Ther free stuff of all categories is where they put these, creation,hidden in plain sight.Encoded.
Years ago the viru,a hidden malevolent programme,was simply to disupt,to annoy.
But as they became cleverer we has the advent of computer fraud.The virus now has a specific job to do.
Some unfortunates have had purchases made using their bank details.
If you suspect your statements are in error don't hesitate to challenge it.The bank and if necassary the Police can trace money movements.

Mandy I saw on the forecast that Norfolk was bad and even the airport is shut.
No more here.In fact it has been very sunny.Now it has gone in and I reckon the temperature will plummet now :-S

I don't know why the video of Chester came through on its side.It is upright this end.Can you turn it around? I think you should be able to.I know sometimes `i have had to turn some of my things.

I have just had a nice big mug of tea and am having a sit after finishing off the ironing.
Tomorrow afternoon is the funeral of my Niece's Mother in Law.Janice and Larry will be looking after Finn and Amelia so won't be coming up.It is at Kettering Crem so I will be able to pop along.Janice thinks Rachel will be happy that I go as she doesn't really know the family too well.But I will come home straight after the service.
I have just realised the black bin needs to go out ,so I had better go and empty all our waste bins.
Mel you must have so much recycling now after all these weeks !!!! Can you not find out what time the lorry actually comes and get it all out just before .Luckily we can put ours out the night before .
