It feels much later than it is I don't know why.I have had the dryer on today. Not sure I have got the hang of this one yet.I must read the instructions again lol
No white stuff here yet.I'm quite looking forward to seeing a little though. But you never know it might miss us :-S
Joint of Pork is cooked and the Roast Potatoes are in and a little brown creature is being a pain :-| :-|

Our Bluebells in the gravel haven't appeared yet Pat,but the daff shoots are up in the lawn at the bottom of the garden.

Chris has just booked a Hotel in London for March 30th for us.(I apologise if I have already told you) but Hannah has bought tickets for a late B Pressie to go and see the New Alan Bennett play 'People' at the National Theatre. He obviously knows we are going to London but doesn't know what we are going to.Hannah said we could stay with her and John, but I think James is going to spend the evening with Hannah while we are at the play and so he can stay with her...I quite fancy a Hotel :-D :-D....I think we might have booked a room with a view over the city and London Eye.That would be nice.Chris

Oh I just see the weather forecast.....off to look for some skis and skates lolol

Good programs on tonight then all. I am going to try Blandings tonight on the replay box but there is Ripper Street on one side and Mr Selfridge on the other so one of those will have to be seen on replay too.

I caught a cat on the camera again last nigt. Same one a tabby, but I also got a very swift shot of the little vole a couple of times and guess what else cam eout of the hedgehog box???? the stoat :-S I will see if I can send it.

We had our usual BIG breakfast lunch time so I am hoping it will only be sandwiches tonight. He has just has coffee and a selection of 6 choccy biscuits a while ago.

Frank, Last time I had F&C I cut most of the batter off and just had a taste and was fine. Previously I had that awful journey from Chester with the trots after having F&C. Some of the batter is soaked with grease.

We had a powdering of snow this morning but the sun soon thawed it. We went to a garden centre at Tamworth for lunch as they do a nice carvery and we had a voucher for the second main course for £1! We've often been in the past as they use all local grown produce including the meat. We both chose the Rhubarb crumble for pud.....very nice!

I'm going with OH to Northampton tomorrow as he has a 2 hour clerk's meeting there. I shall take the car and mosey around the shops including the H*me Sense store that we don't have here. He will want a really early start though, so I expect it will be freezing. I could do with Pat's padded coat! lol. I'm still looking for a 3 quarter one that will cover my cardies, so might strike lucky in the shops there! :-) I will move the car after to the H*bbycraft shop and OH will walk there to meet me when he's done.

I used to make loads of marmalade using the tins of M*made? and sugar. First OH always took sandwiches of it to work for the mid morning break. I used to make damson jam too as we had a tree, but I haven't made any for yonks now. It must be well worth doing though the way prices are going up.

Mum had all of us at home, one in the 40s, one in the 50s and one in the 60s and all in different houses!

We've tried Mrs Brown's Boys, but am with you Frank! It reminds me a bit of Father Ted and I never liked that much. I've still not made my mind up about Miranda, having watched twice. One seemed funny, the other not. I wonder how Mr Selfridge will be tonight! It is hard not to compare it with The Paradise as has been said.

Ooh Mel .Your Stoat is a frequent visitor lol.Look forward to a piccie :-D
I still haven't seen the Ripper :-S Must watch Mr Selfridge .I enjoyed it last week.

I think I need to dish up dinner...no-one seems in a rush for it so it is keeping hot in the top oven.

I spoke to Janice last night and Baby Williams Grandma(Jo's Mum) came to see William. She brought a large box of all Jo's things that she had as a child.A little Black Doll.Shells that she had collected,Brownie and Guide badges and other things. There are also tapes of her singing (she was a professional singer)but they need to be put on a CD.Jo was adopted ,she was born in Jamaica .Apparently her Birth Mother was 12 years old when she had Jo !!! The Father was from St Kits and much older.......That put shivers down my spine as St Kits had the dreadful scandal of Pedophiles(sp)

Right I am going to call Chris and James..I can't wait any longer to dish up

I can't stand Mrs Brown's Boys either and I too did'nt like Father Ted. I think it is a load of rubbish and foul language. It is not nessesary to have that on the telly as well as in the streets when you are out.

Jane

Jane Report 13 Jan 2013 20:12

Mel I can't open it either :-S :-S.
I think I must have a warped sense of humour Mel .I do love Mrs Browns Boys and enjoyed Father Ted too :-D.I must agree though that the F word is used too much ,he should stick to saying' Bucking'
I have left Chris to clear away :-D as I wanted to download some books for my kindle.I forgot what to do and had to call him in :-S.I won't tell you his language :-|.He gets fed up with me not remembering what I am supposed to do.Last time I did it on my own and thought I did fine but when I came to read one of the books it seemed that none had actually been downloaded :-S :-S.
Watching Antiques Roadshow now.I like that

Frank Report 13 Jan 2013 20:29

Evening all ,

I did a stupid thing this afternoon, while preparing the garlic for the cheese sauce, I must have rubbed my eye. It is now swolen and very sore. I have had a cold flannel on it for the past hour, but is still stinging.

We had a leg of pork today, roast pots, parsnips, yorkshire pudding, cauli.carrots runner beans, asparagus and those mange toue (SORRY ABOUT THE SPELLING) peas. Cheese sauce and gravy. Nothing for afters as we were stuffed.

As a child I got under my mum's Singer Sewing machine with a screwdriver, and managed ro remove loads of screws, and the B thing colasped. !!!

Watched DOI. Did you hear that girl from TOWIE. when she said the ICE WAS SLIPPERY (daft co#) makes me assamed to say I come from there. !!!

Haven't been outside the door today, apart from putting the bins out.

Glad you have some bulbs coming through Liz, One or two will maker a nice show :-D :-D :-D

I sometimes thought as a child, it would have been nice to be adopted, and had a mother who loved and wanted me. All I ever seem to heart was "I dread the day God put breath in your body" those memories stick in your mind forever. But there you go, you can't have everything in like. I suppose being the last pair of 10 children, she had had enough and she was 45 when she has my sister and I.

Haven't looked at Emails yet, but will do it before Mr Selfridge,

Both my children born at home. The first Jan 64. our in the wilds of Essex, the Midwife told mer to make a note of contraction times and to ring when they got close. I rang her at 4 in the morning and reeled off all the times. She said slow down, i'm not awake yet. !! She arrived with her helper soon after. and stayed till baby was born at 11.30 am. on a bitter cold bright sunny morning. My son was a July baby and again a wonderful sunny morning. both over eight pounds.

Off now to read Emails, see you in the morning.

Morning all and evening Kim,

Mandy you have a dusting then? Went out at 11.12pm for a ciggy and it was snowing, just a little on the car rooves and on the wooden frame over oh's pond. It lasted about 10 minuets and then turned to rain.

This morning it is still raining.................................

Frank I hope your eye is easier this morning and you had a good nights sleep.

Shopping day today so back to normal at last. I never know what day it is unless I go shopping on a Monday. With the holidays I have been going on different days and it throws me completely and I never seem to buy enough things for lunchtimes.

Morning All
Evening Kim

Well snow that we had yesterday didn't stay and it's a bright ,cold sunny morning here.

There's nothing planned for today daughter no 2 is going to go up to the doctors surgery for me and collect my prescription, it's closer to where she lives than me, I would have to get a taxi there and back(with OH away) so she has kindly offered to do the task :-)

FRANK- as a toddler mum put me in the pushchair (no buggy's in our day.) and left me for 5 mins while she went to put her coat on , then off we went for a walk and as she pushed the pushchair down the kerb the wheels went wonky and collapsed ,I had sat and fiddled with the butterfly screws :-| :-| :-\ making them all loose :-)

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 14 Jan 2013 10:54

In the depth of my mind I seem to remember my pushchair being beige and having a very hard seat and back. The tyres on the wheels were white and it was very small.

Morning all/Evening Kim.
Still fluttering down here. "Jane 12 inches but don't use it as a rule " boom boom. We have about the same as you. !!!

Had a wonderful nights sleep last night, very PLEASENT dreams, which this morning I had to ask Ros if it was TRUE. NO NO NO she said. Well it's worth dreaming ;-) ;-) ;-)
Must be this testosterine, more next week, so look out !!!

I got up and walked away from Mr Selfridge last night. I just can't get into this brash American accent. It grates on my nerves, and starts to build up inside me, so better to keep out of the way.

I started to watch the late film on ITV but recorded to last hour as it went on till 12.30 am.

Won't be going out today, even thought I am getting short of SPUDS. but we have enough for today. If it turns bad we have other things we can use..

Eye is a lot better after a good night sleep, feels funny down the bottom left hand side. But that is where the garlic must have rubbed.

Have feen the birds, they came down in their droves. must get more seed in the feeders. and fresh watewr.

Shower and shave time now, see you later.

Our recykling people are coming so early we have missed them again this week. We have such a long way to take the stuff out to the road and if it goes out the night before the dogs, foxes and wind spread it everywhere and the men don't pick up what is on the road.We hav'nt had ours collected now since before Christmas we have two bins and both are full.

It has just got brighter outside and I thinjk there may be a little sun.

Jane Report 14 Jan 2013 12:37
