I now have a Tumble dryer :-D :-D.Brought it home in the boot.Thank heavens Chris and James were here to get it out lol.James's job tomorrow is to take all the packaging to the tip.The Freezer I have bought is out of stock but I should get it in about 10 days or so.I was the 16th person to order one.It is an Upright Frost Free and there aren't that many that are suitable for Garages and very low temperatures.I think that is maybe why my old one was always filling up with solid ice(it wasn't meant to be kept in a garage).I did quite well and still had £200 left from the insurance money. So guess who is keeping that????? Yep ME.I have booked a meal for all the family for Chris's 60th (he doesn't know) and I would like to be able to pay without him having to fork out as he always does.I have been saving bits here and there .That is the trouble me not working and not having my own money so to speak. So hopefully it will be a nice surprise for him. |

Have been at daughters for the past few days and have only just caught up with the posts. That makes it unanimous then Frank, we all look on you as a very dear friend and would hate to see you leave. To say you are a coward is quite ridiculous and to call you nasty stupid and silly is just plain rude. Take my advice, if you get any more e.mails from Sheila, don't even bother to open them just press the delete button. |

Yes I can now say I have ERMINE in the garden. Not sure if that should be VERMINE ERMINE..............It must have been around again as I came out of the tunnel just now the bantams were hicking up a stink again. I went down the garden to the hedgehog box and scattered a few go cat pellets around and set my camera up so we will see if I get it or not as the case maybe..... ;-) |

Great photos Mel, don't think I've ever seen a stoat, the second pic shows how tiny it is. Will they eat the chickens. |

Mel, What a brilliant picture of the stoat! We get Deer in the field opposite and hares! I saw a Fox trotting across the field the other side of us the other morning, he only had half a tail! who knows how he lost it or maybe he/she was born that way. I must keep my camera at the ready as we get more wild life around us here than in Somerset, no people I suppose! |

Oh first told me that a staot would'nt go white in the winter down here in Devon. How wrong can he be?? It will be interesting to see if it goes completely white if we see it again later. |

Maureen, no it's not an old house, just us folks who live in that are old - maybe that's the problem LoL! I think it was built in the early 70, around there anyway. What you have to worry about is if I don't make any postings for a while. That will mean that William has disappeared . . . :-D :-( :-S ;-) |

Lovely pics of the Stoat Mel......I have never seen one in it's winter wardrobe. It might not get any whiter, some just have markings like that. It is a good job the Hogs have suits of armour isn't it!! :-0 You did really well to get pics at all. they move so fast and seem to always be on the move.......he looks well fed doesn't he. ;-) ;-) |
