I now have a Tumble dryer :-D :-D.Brought it home in the boot.Thank heavens Chris and James were here to get it out lol.James's job tomorrow is to take all the packaging to the tip.The Freezer I have bought is out of stock but I should get it in about 10 days or so.I was the 16th person to order one.It is an Upright Frost Free and there aren't that many that are suitable for Garages and very low temperatures.I think that is maybe why my old one was always filling up with solid ice(it wasn't meant to be kept in a garage).I did quite well and still had £200 left from the insurance money. So guess who is keeping that????? Yep ME.I have booked a meal for all the family for Chris's 60th (he doesn't know) and I would like to be able to pay without him having to fork out as he always does.I have been saving bits here and there .That is the trouble me not working and not having my own money so to speak. So hopefully it will be a nice surprise for him.

No snow here Frank.Have you had any more.I think your end (Northampton often can get it before us).
It is 3pm and I have just got in.After I brought the dryer home I then went of to do the food shopping.
Beef Casserole for us tonight ,so I had better make a start on that

Mandy. The TV Bracket is finally up after several trips to Wick** to get the right size Raul plugs lol.Now he has has trouble with fixing a plate to it for the TV and needs some different screws or something(i don't really know). We will see if the Bracket stays up once the TV is on it :-D :-D

I think I will light the fire before I start on the Casserole.

This morning I was in bed messing around with my new phone and realised I can get on the thread on it !!..Trouble is the print is so small I had trouble seeing it .I said to Chris look I can get on GR .it's just like my pooter.......Yes he says it is a pooter you daft***.........Well how was I to know lolol I then found the News to read. It's great
:-D..I was taking pics of Chester in my bed under the Duvet. He looks so cosy in there.I will have a look and make sure there is nothing showing of me and send you all a pic :-D

Have been at daughters for the past few days and have only just caught up with the posts. That makes it unanimous then Frank, we all look on you as a very dear friend and would hate to see you leave. To say you are a coward is quite ridiculous and to call you nasty stupid and silly is just plain rude. Take my advice, if you get any more e.mails from Sheila, don't even bother to open them just press the delete button.

I expect Jane is out on her search now. All my kitchen appliances are integrated so I am not looking forward to when one of those goes, why should they be so much more expensive.

I didn't get the photos of Katie :-(

Hope no more items have gone missing William ....... spooky ........... is it an old house you live in :-0

Love the Irish joke David. Talking of religion I have just finished a really good book called Witch Light, about the massacre of Highlanders in Glencoe on the orders of William of Orange in the 17th century it was fictional but based on real characters and events.

I found Silent Witness hard to follow, mainly because I couldn't make out half of what they were saying, must be going deaf, the sound all seems to be muffled, I don't usually have a problem with the Irish accent but I really had to concentrate when the new fellow was talking and does anyone know what the difference is between Forensic and Pathology.

Oh i see Jane has sent them Maureen ,you'll get two lots now LOL

I didn't know that some freezers aren't suitable for Garages, our old chest freezer keeps going in the shed ,mined you the top is getting very rusty :-S

That will be a lovely surprise for Chris Jane , its a nice feeling to be able to pay :-)

Turned very chilly here now the sun is going down .

Yes I can now say I have ERMINE in the garden. Not sure if that should be VERMINE ERMINE..............It must have been around again as I came out of the tunnel just now the bantams were hicking up a stink again. I went down the garden to the hedgehog box and scattered a few go cat pellets around and set my camera up so we will see if I get it or not as the case maybe..... ;-)

Great photos Mel, don't think I've ever seen a stoat, the second pic shows how tiny it is. Will they eat the chickens.

LilyL

LilyL Report 12 Jan 2013 16:53

Mel, What a brilliant picture of the stoat! We get Deer in the field opposite and hares! I saw a Fox trotting across the field the other side of us the other morning, he only had half a tail! who knows how he lost it or maybe he/she was born that way. I must keep my camera at the ready as we get more wild life around us here than in Somerset, no people I suppose!
Marmalade will have to be fnished tomorrow as our neighbour over the way called to give me some eggs which was really kind, but delayed us!!!
The wind has been SO strong today, our ash bucket blew almost up to the gate, and Merlin was well pleased to come in!!
Curry for supper tonight,

Oh Mel, lovely photo's they are tiny aren't they !!
I was going to ask if it would go after chickens !! :-S

Just Goggled and it looks like they might go for chickens ,although they are more likely to go for the eggs!! :-S

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 12 Jan 2013 17:07

Oh first told me that a staot would'nt go white in the winter down here in Devon. How wrong can he be?? It will be interesting to see if it goes completely white if we see it again later.

William

William Report 12 Jan 2013 17:34

Maureen, no it's not an old house, just us folks who live in that are old - maybe that's the problem LoL! I think it was built in the early 70, around there anyway. What you have to worry about is if I don't make any postings for a while. That will mean that William has disappeared . . . :-D :-( :-S ;-)

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 12 Jan 2013 17:37

Well if you disappear William we'll think Carmel has stored you away ...some where safe :-D :-D ;-) :-S

Lovely pics of the Stoat Mel......I have never seen one in it's winter wardrobe. It might not get any whiter, some just have markings like that. It is a good job the Hogs have suits of armour isn't it!! :-0 You did really well to get pics at all. they move so fast and seem to always be on the move.......he looks well fed doesn't he. ;-) ;-)

I bet your OH is pleased to be setting up the new tank Fiona. Those Red tailed black sharks are very quick! He might have to cover the tank and make it dark so it becomes very sluggish, then dive in quick with the net!

Maureen, I think anything 'forensic' is to do with identifying unknown causes of death for evidence for the courts, pathology more to do with medical examination for diseases.
