Evening Everyone,
What a time you had in America Sheila......I would have hated being high up in those winds! So sorry you lost your friend, Annie, she sounded nice. I hope whoever buys her house looks after her lovely garden. Thank you for your christmas card but I'm afraid I've no idea what you mean about the cards either.
Mandy, he was a cheeky pony, we called him Ivan the terrible. He even jumped out over his stable door and we had to nail spaced planks over the top half to keep him in. I was just looking at your new pic of Toby and thought he must have been very pretty when he was a puppy with those markings on his face.
Liz, 31 was a good age for your daughter's pony to live to.......must have been your TLC. I think the Mountain and Moorland breeds seem much healthier and hardier though.
Well, we got up late this morning, went and had a look at some laptops, but only came home with an ironing board......but at least we have that now! OH took some garden stuff down the tip and we sorted some more papers. I noticed the boiler service is overdue so have sorted that for the end of the month. The tree will be taken down tomorrow now......OH's arms and legs are still aching after assembling the bookcases.
Mel, your OH must be worried they will ruin the nut turning it the wrong way, then it will be a bigger job to sort out. He seems able to turn his hands to most things doesn't he. Lucky he was there when the lady came off her horse.

Pam the lady that fell off her horse was rather dazed and oh said she kept dropping off to sleep because she was snoring!! He had to man handle her into Freddies car and he took her home and her hubby came and got the horse, a big thouroughbred about 16 and a half hands high. She is no youngster, must be 70 odd. She was with Sandra another of my friends, well I know her, she does dressage on her horses. She is older than me too.

Ann oh can turn his hand to most things. Don't forget he was a fireman and they have to deal with all sorts of things in their line of buiness. Also he father was an electrician and took him with him on many a job when he was young and still at school, often having days off to work with his dad........

Oh Mel, sooner them than me on big thoroughbreds! It is a long way to fall isn't it, especially if it was onto the hard road. I wonder if she fell because she was a bit dizzy or whether something spooked her horse. I hope she's feeling better now anyway.
I hadn't really thought about firemen having to be able to do most things.....but they must mustn't they getting in to rescue people.
Good luck with your W/M purchase Jane, you've waited long enough for it! You will be washing everything in sight once it's working. :-D :-D
Off to bed now too, I'm sick of sorting bank stuff.......the number of booklets they send and I'm never certain if they replace the old ones or are additional stuff.......does your head in!! :-S :-S Night, night...xx

Morning/Evening Everyone
A dull day ,still so mild and very still.Have just done the mini walk.We seem to go less steps each morning. He just isn't interested really but as soon as we turn around to come back he speeds up.Now he want's to play ball.Keeps rolling it under the units and then standing barking his head off for me to get on my knees and fish it back out again :-S :-S.I will have to confiscate it soon lol
I will be going to buy the W/Machine when Chris gets home from work.He said he will come with me......I nearly fell off the chair with shock :-0 :-0.I bet there is an ulterior motive, like something he wants to buy from the same shop :-|
What kind of day are you all having today.Busy? Chilled?

Hi all,
Jane DOUBLE BUBBLE. If I were you I would spend both lots, they can argue the toss on getting it back, with all the trouble you have had getting it, I think you deserve it.
I'vs just noticed the type is larger as I type this morning, where as the previous posts are smaller. (NO I haven't been on the pop)
Ros has gone to meet Martine first time in three weeks, gthey will chatter for a couple of hours.
I have instructions to tidy around the lounge (as Jan is coming) What a waste of time. The tree comes down this afternoon (WOMEN)
Mel, I was quite a handy man, and could turn my hand to most things, but now it gets harder to motivate myself, to do things.
Do hope your friend has no ill effects from her fall. At her age anything can happen. :-0 :-0 :-0
Not a bad morning here, sun is trying to break through, and it's quite mild.

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Grey skies but mild like everyone else. No heating on as it is not needed.
Oh said there was a plastic carrier in the road when he helped the woman on the horse and he wondered if that had blown and frightened it. Sandra did'nt say it had but I think she was too concerned about Pam and her horse. Sandra is only small and horses don't seem to like Oh!!
No sticks down outside the hedgehog house so have left the camera there for another night.
I have to go down the shop for the paper and then do some ironing.
Did'nt get up till 11am!!!!

LAZY or WHAT. lol lol. Does you good sometimes Mel.
Well I am truly Knackered., washed and wiped up. Made the bed. put loads of Chocs, and sweet away. Hoovered all through. and bought all the Decoration and tree box's in from the garage. It was so warm I have been stripped to the waist.
The lounge table is almost clear, so at least we have somewhere to eat the takeaway tonight. ;-) ;-) ;-)
I think I have earned a gargle at the pub at lunchtime and watch the early match West Ham play Man Utd in the FA cup later today and it's on Tele. So will watch it on my new set !!!
I can just imagine Chris and Jane lugging a W/M into the car, so she can get on and play with her NEW TOY. Don't mess it up will YOU ??? I know what your'e like with new toys !!!
Have little Blue Tits in and out of the nesting box in the garden. Perhaps they are tidying up ready for the SPRING.!!
I don't know about anybody else, but we are right off roasts and veg at the moment. I had a piece of cod in parsley sauce, mashed and peas for tea/dinner last night and Ros had a toasted sandwich. Ham, cheese, onion, and tomato. She couldn't eat it all. But at least she's eating a little. She has lost over a stone since before Christmas. She is at the Doctors Tuesday, so hope he sorts out this pain where she had the abscess from the road accident 9 years ago. She is thinking it's somthing more serious. But I can't convince her otherwise.
Right I'm off, see you all later.

Afternoon all OH finished off painting the skirting boards and took the old dinning room cupboard away for the skip, room looks even bigger now it's gone, all my dishes and glasses are on the old dinning table that will be the last to go when all the new furniture is in place, I think I need a good sorting out :-0 don't think all my dishes will fit in the sideboards, probably got too much stuff anyway. :-| :-|
You will be glad to get a new washing machine Jane, you certainly deserve to get back to normal with all the floods etc. you have had to cope with.
Dull but mild here to.

What a palaver that was !!!! off we went to pay for the W/M took just one of the cards with the £399.99 on.Anyway when the chap swiped it through the machine it came up as having no money on it at all :-S :-S :-S.Chris and I looked at eachother both thinking the same(the other card had the money on and this one had been cancelled). So we came home and I went back successfully this time :-D.I could have had the machine tomorrow but decided Monday is better as I am doing a big roast tomorrow and will be up to my eyes. I think the company should have actually called to explain the 2 cards so at least we would know not to try and use the cancelled one :-S :-S :-S
I bet there will be a snowstorm or earthquake or some disaster on Monday it doesn't arrive :-S :-S :-D :-D

Afternoon everyone,
Another mild day here ,we had a little sun at times ,i think the days are pulling out a little it was still quite light here at four o clock.
Ann ,some where i have a photo of Toby when he was a puppy ,he was a dear little thing ,i'll see if i can dig it out .
I agree with you Frank about the roasts and veg ,i always think you don't know what to have for meals after christmas after having the rich food ,we are having a Chinese tonight . I noticed that since i've been on these blood pressure tablets my appetite has gone, i'am not eating as much ,i just don't want it , i was pleased when i got on the scales the other day ,i had lost half a stone !! :-D I've hardly touched the chocolates and sweet things this year ,i have eaten a few peanuts and chestnuts though.
Glad you got the washing machine sorted in the end Jane , what a palaver though, lets hope you can get the freezer and dryer sorted soon.
Having fun and games here ,son gave me a new mouse that he wasn't using as it's small and he has big hands ,it's one one of those with no wires ...the curser thing is flying round the screen i hardly have to move it :-D :-D :-D

Mandy I have a cordless mouse too and board. I had a bit of trouble with mine at first as sometimes it would shoot across the screen but oh sorted it by putting the disc that came withit in the pc and entering something on there. Have had no trouble since. When I had conected it all up I never put the disc in!! I just wanted to be able to do something without his help but it all comes down to him in the long run!!

Glad you've sorted out your WM Jane, it must have been a bit of a nightmare being without one all this time. Poor woman coming off her horse like that, Mel. I hope she's ok, that's one of the reasons that I've not been riding for these past 20 years!!! it's too far to fall and boy can you do some damage to an decrepid old frame!!! At least with Merlin OH is near the ground!! Mainly though we stick to the trap! mind you, you can still have a bad accident - even though the trap has brakes, Merlin hasn't Our house build is on You Tube! Just go onto Y.T andt type in 'Sherston, Project Movie' and it's all there in glorious technicolour!! I'd forgotten how blue the sky was, it was our three weeks of summer, in March! Gave Millie a good brush and comb today; She HATED it, and is getting naughtier about being groomed as she gets older. I cleaned her teeth too, bathed her eyes and put anti mite lotion in her ears - no wonder she was cross!! We are on 'bland' food at the moment, fish pie tonight and mash, tomorrow roast chicken, roasts and cabbage; still feel blown out after Xmas! Taking down the rest of the decs tomorrow - shall be glad to see them go away till next year.

I have a cordless mouse too,but hardly ever remember to use it lol. When I do ,I wonder why it sits beside the laptop redundant :-S.It does save a lot of finger aches.
I miss writing by hand these days.I used to love writing letters.emails just aren't the same :-S Getting Notelets for Christmas was great as I would use them to write all my thank you letters.I used to do them on Boxing Day.I always recall Janice having to be forced to do hers, but sometimes she managed to persuade me to thank people for her presents in with my letters. What a good big sister I was :-D
Well James and Jess are out tonight for dinner so it's just us 2.Lamb Steaks and I don't know yet what potatoes or veg.I will have a ferret through the fridge and veg rack. I need to wrap presents for James .It is his birthday on the 9th but he will be away at Jess's .So he will have his pressies tomorrow....How do I wrap a TV???.Clothes are easy :-D

Evening all,
NO LIKEY NO LIGHTY ON THE BOX. I have been playing cards since 9.pm Still can't get out.!!!
Poor ol' West 'am. Man U. got a goal in time added on. So 2-2 draw. Lets hope we can do them in the replay.
All cleared away now, Jan and Conrad came at 2.30 pm and helped Ros put everything away, and Conrad put all the box's in the garage.
I treated them to an Indian takeaway, and they went home about 8.30 pm.
Just the two of us relaxing by the T V now. well Ros is !!
Still can't make up my mind what to do for dinner tomorrow. The freezer is full of meat, so will look in the morning.
Glad you got sorted with the W/M. pity you couldn't get DOUBLE BUBLE Fancy having to go back and get the other voucher. :-D :-D :-D
Back to cards for a while.
Sleep tight. xxx

Dull today but still dry at the moment. Oh is in the shower getting ready to go ringing and then I shall be home alone for a couple of hours. Gives me time to hoover round and have a shower and pickle about a bit at whatever I want.

The lady who fell of the horse has broken her leg in two places so oh told me yesterday after speaking to Freddy about the boiler. He took her to the docs and he told them to go to hosp as there was nothing he could do. Think it was her tibia she broke.
