Ann,I'm not sure I would want to be in any building with a Queery of Legionaires :-S I am surprised they haven't shut the place down until they get the all clear. Waiting to see your latest creation :-D
Pat ,Have a wonderful holiday.I hope Mocha will be fine .But I think you are right to find somewhere else next time for him.
I was just talking to Janice on the phone and she was reading out the order of service and telling me all about Jo's funeral ... made me cry.It was a very long service, about an hour and a half. She said the vicar even cried!!( I think he was a family friend).
Now I need to think about Dinner :-S Tomorrow Chris and I are going out for Sunday Lunch ....No cooking :-D :-D Only trouble is the meal is at 3pm so i think we will have to have something to eat about 11am just to keep the starvation feeling at bay.

Mandy I can't have any of those plug in fresheners .It just take a few minutes of the scent coning though and it makes my throat go all claggy and sticky and my face sweat :-S :-S(not a pretty sight)..Just one Whiff and that is enough lol I seem to have trouble with certain smells in the last few years that just affect me really badly.I think I said before that onions and garlic have the same effect...They never used to.
I can hear a lot of bangs going off now so will go and turn the TV sound UP so it won't be too stressful for the old boy(Chester I'm talking about.....not Chris) :-D

was reading about the mercury in dental fillings NOT doing us favours in other ways further down the track. Vitimin B12 & B6 were recommended to counter. While at Te$sco I bought some Viitimin B Complex Seems the alternative to amalgam fillings is denture, but how many are going to settle for that?
Looked up amalgam tattoo online. It's not uncommon and there is no cure.
E's cat is an indoor cat for the next few days, fireworks non stop.

Oh yes I see what you mean David.......he would have been 94 now! I can't keep up!! They have been saying our mercury fillings are bad for us for a while and some people have had them all replaced with white ones.
Jane, I got the Legionaires bit wrong.........I think it was suspected at first, but they established it was e-coli they think is in the college's internal water system. It has been in the hands of the water board since the beginning of September......so they have had to boil their water and drink bottled water since then!
A kilo is quite a lot of weight on a dog Chester's size isn't it Jane. How much has he lost over the last few months? I take it his appetite isn't the reason.
Whizz bangs are off again! I think it will be an early night for me tonight. I'm not used to all this concentration 2 days on the trot. lol :-)

Those fireworks start day or maybe weeks before the event then continue for day or weeks after.Seems we have money to burn.
A few years ago I fancied writing a book, semi autobiographical based around a sequence of unfortunate experiences I had a that time.I gave up on the idea after a couple of attempts fearing I might be sued for slander,or is the correct term libel?
One sentence I'd have loved to have in print is PERJURY STILL CARRIES A SEVEN YEAR SENTENCE

XF is on.
Hedgie has been out and oh has just gone out again and siad the stick is now down again so someone has been out again. when I looked the soft cat meat and ham fat had gone and just over half of the dried cat food as I gave him a bit more tonight. I don't like to think he gets hungry and he may be relying on me now it is so cold. I think I may send off for some of the special hedgehog food you can buy. Quite expensive but hey it is my new friend in the garden and I spend a fortune on the wild birds so why not the hedgie.
Jane can I come out with you tomorrow for dinner please?

I go out for lunch on Sundays. :-D
Mel, wouldn't it be great if you could rig up a webcam and watch Hedgie. He seems to be very happy with his box. I can just imagine him 'cussing' when he comes out wondering who has put that stick there again as he kicked it out of the way last time he came out. :-| :-| lol.
I never watch XF. Did I imagine it or have they said this will be the last year for it?
I really enjoyed The Paradise this week. I think I called Pauline Ruby before. She was loving those birds till one flew away.

Evening all,
Sorry David I missunderstood what you said. My Dad would be 126 now !!!!
Mel, you remind me of our friend Carolyn. She spends a lot of time at the seed suppliers and spends in excess of £60.00 a time on all types of bird food.
Where are you of to tomorrow Jane. THE PHEASANT ??? If so I think I will join you and let the others sort out their meal :-D :-D :-D
The fireworks started early tonight, now it's very quiet. Too cold to be out I suppose.
Not a lot of things happening here so will close down for the night
Have a great time PAT.

Ann .........Fabulous works of art :-D. You could hire out your Fascinator for weddings :-D :-D.and the Bracelet...beautiful .
Chester has dropped from 17.5 to 14,6.Which is quite a lot for a dog his size. But his appetite is fine and he is not drinking more water than usual. It has been over a fair time so not sudden loss of weight.Just a bit worrying :-S.It might just be that he is an old boy now.
Mel you are welcome to join us for lunch tomorrow. :-D :-D.We need to have a look at the map as we don't know where the place is lol
Lots of Fireworks tonight ..But Chester slept through the lot!!!!!!!!! I think his hearing might be so sharp these days. Just watching the end of the XF and then off to bed.I still have my 2 favourites, Jahmaine (sp) and Ella.
See you all in the morning .....Chris's turn to do walkies :-D :-D

Ann oh said he had enough trouble when he did the birds in the old garage. Hedgies box is about five times further away. He has about three web cam tiny cameras but it is because of the distance from the house.
I am going to watch last nights Autumn Watch now.
Night night see you all in the morning.

Morning all and Evening Kim,
Saw Hogwart last night. I had put more food out and he had eaten some earlier then I saw him again much later rooting in the long grass at the edge of the garden down by the box. By this time all the food had gone and I had put extra out.
Oh gone ringing and I am going to go and wash my hair.

Afternoon all,
What a day !! cold and wet !! we have been out to sons for coffee and over to the farm to see if they have the bags of potatoes ,no sign out to say they had some so we came home empty handed .
Jane enjoy your lunch out today , it will make a nice change for you not to have to cook .
Not much happening here , hubby's just mending the wash basin plug plunger in the loo ,the plunger thingy for the plug has come a drift so it's not lifting the plug up and down.
Ann, the bracelets are really pretty ,a lot of work and beads gone into them by the look of it, and i love the Fascinator , do you buy the Net material and shape it yourself ? or are the bits already shaped and you just put it together ?
I like the name Hogwart Mel :-D he's really made his self at home , but then he is being spoilt so why go any where else :-D :-D Do you know if he is a male ? how you can tell the difference ?
I wonder if Pat is in the sun yet , not sure what time she was flying .

See I can still do it. !!
We have had rain here all day so far, with a SNOW SHOWER thrown in.
I have only just come in from the kitchen. I have prepared all the veg. Swede, Broch, Cauli, carrots, peas, Parsnips and Potatoes. Some more spuds for Lewis as he won't eat ROASTS . Cheese sauce, and apple sauce made. Meat all salted in ready for the oven. Nice big piece of Boneless Leg of Pork. I think I will do a bit of stuffing to go with it also.
Ann, I have left your things on Email so Ros can have a look. She made her fascinator for Lara'a wedding last August, quite similar to yours. You are cleaver GIRLS.
The was you are feeding "HOGWART" Mel, he/swhe will be to fat to get into that box, OH will have to make a bigger one.
You are gwetting a lazy girl JANE. Not getting uo till ten oclock. I was up at eight. Had my mate MARMIT# on toast and two cups of tea before 9. I read parts of the sports pages, and was in the kitchen before 10 am. Were you refering to Chris. or Chester. about being bedraggled. :-D :-D :-D I bet Chris was well pleased getting the short straw. !!!!
Wonder how our KIM,FIONA, and SHIRL are, we haven't heard much from them lately. Do hope everythings O.K.

Hi guys and gals.
Haven't been posting much as I'm back on my family history on GR. AND - I need some help. 1871 census Thomas Wells 65 b - Ware Herts wife Hanna 62 B Herts plus dtr Kate A Wells 17 b Ware There is also a grandson at that address named James Thomas Greenslade He is aged 10 born Camberwell (found his birth on GR) Then I've traced this James and he did all right, became a litho artist, married etc.
The only thing I'm missing is his parents??? If he was Thos Wells grandson, I'm supposing he was the son of one of Thos Well's daughters. Beside Kate, mentioned above, he had a daughter Elizabeth who in 1861 was living away from home as an apprentice. The other thing is that Kate mentioned above, is not at home on the 1861 census.
I'd like to know who James Grteenslade's parents are as I can trce him 1881 to 1911
All help greatly appreciated. Hope I made all that clear!

All fed and watered now.The meal was in a lovely old country house.Beautiful setting in 8 acres. But as for the Roast.....I do a far better one.We weren't impressed really. It was nice though just to get out and have food served.
It was dark when we drove home .I had to laugh as we came along our road.I saw 4 people all glued to their computers. They hadn't drawn the curtains so showed up well with their lights on..They were all men .I bet the wives were busy in the kitchen :-S I can now add a fifth one who can be seen through the window....Chris lol
