Morning all Evening Kim.
Yes that Foot and Mouth was a dissaster for the farmers. We had the fires around this area. People from town would drive out this way to see the fires MORBID OR WHAT ????
Very windy here this morning, and cloudy. Ros has a load in the Machine, but won't be tempted to put it out. It will be radiators and tumble dryer.
Lewis has just woken up,, saying I'M HUNGRY. Ros is now getting him "breakfast" I remember when Harvey and Conrad were teenagers and out to all hours. My house rule was if you wanted breakfast you haD TO BE UP BEFORE nine.,on a Sunday morning. It goes without saying, they went without breakfast most Sundays. But were up for Sunday Dinner.
It's now raining here.!!!!! and as black as your HAT.
Anything exciting going on today for anyone ??? We will just stay in doors till Julia comes for Lewis sometime this afternoon, MY how this week as flown by. it will be Christmas before we see him again. Just thought. He has dentist at TWO to have those teeth removed. Rather him tham me. Not really. I would do it for him if I could !!!!

Afternoon everyone,
Had a busy day yesterday with the little ones here , did some crafting with them ,they wanted to make christmas tree decorations ,so we were cutting out and sticking things most of the day. I thought i had hovered up well, but every now and then i catch sight of some thing sparkly on the floor and its another sequin or bead to pick up.
I took Toby's bed back and changed it for a nice furry one that should keep him nice and warm , no good keeping the other one when he keeps slipping on it .
Been nice and sunny here ,had the washing out and have just got it in as black clouds were looming !! it's just about dry so all ready for ironing .
I saw that bright star just to the left of the moon last night ,there was a smaller one just to the right of it too, i never know what star is what in the night sky , the space station looks bright like a star .
Sounds as if you had a good feast with all the Chinese you had Frank, i'am not to keen on the prawn crackers . Lewis is a growing lad and likes his food i see, when son was growing up he was always hungry we use to wonder where he put it all, we use to say he had hollow legs to store it in !! :-D I hope Lewis gets on ok at the dentist ,not the best of things to have done, teeth out :-S
Nice easy tea tonight as we had Gammon last night and there plenty left for today ,will have that with some wedges i think.
I've just realised why i feel thirsty ,i never had my coffee this morning , gosh that will never do ,i need my coffee fix :-D :-D :-D better get the kettle on. BBL

Wedges here tonight too Mandy ,but with Southern Fried Chicken .
I bet Toby is going to love his new bed. He'll be as snug as a bug.I must get Chester a nice bigger blanket thing. He has a small one with is lovely and warm but it is only the same size as him.I covered him over last night(he has taken to sleeping on the leather settee ! ) and Chris said he was still covered up first thing this morning. He has lost all his bulk and is quite boney feeling so I reckon he needs some good warm covering at night. He is asleep in front of the fire now(BUT IT ISN'T LIT).I think the sun was shining in that patch :-D Just going to watch Doctors now.

Sorry Jane,
Bright sunshine here now.and clear blue sky's.
HYave just got myself in a right old frenzy. I had finished getting everything done for dinner tonight. washed up the knifes and things. Dried them up and put the BIG KNIFE in the draw. Closed it. When I went to put other things away. The draw was stuck fast. I tried ratterling it open, but to no avail, I tried screwdrivers down the front of the draw but it would not move. Finally6 in a fit of TEMPER I went to the garage and got the garden SPADE wedged it between the draw and the work top, and levered away. The draw came open very slowly, as it did so, it pushed the big carving knife through the back of the draw. Once I got the draw out a bit I had to grab the knife handle and pull. OMG it was stuck fast. Took my 10 minutes to release it.
Lewis is just back from the Dentist, Tissues sticking out of his mouth. He took it out for a MO and there are four little holes. Tissues back in now. and he's waiting to get on the computer. It will take his mind off it for a while. Poor little Soldier AHHHHH

I've spent all day shopping, had to come home, I've run out of money :-D Could have bought everything I saw. so many pretty clothes. I bought Harry three books as well, so when I go over on Sunday he will have a present too. Must remember to take my camera. They came home today so 48 hour stay in hospital.
It seems quite common to take out first teeth now, I wonder if that helps the second lot to grow straight, two of my girls had to have braces.
I love chinese food but same as you Mandy not keen on the crackers.
It has been a sunny day but very cold, stood at the bus stop and that wind was freezing.

Frank ,I would have loved to have seen that!!!!!! .Talk about drastic measures A SPADE????.Other than the hole on the back where the knife was stuck is the front of the drawer still in one piece??
I hope Lewis's gums have stopped bleeding now.Baby teeth are usually no trouble.
I think I will read my book (a proper book. Not the kindl*) for half an hour. But I'll need to put a light on.The light is fading outside now.

Mel, It's a funny time of year to have green fly isn't it.??? I don't know about a woman's work is never done. I have spent ages in the kitchen today. What with Lewis this lunchtime wantinf a sandwich before going to the dentist. Ros's beans on toast. Then Julia wanting Eggs on toast when she arrived, and tea allround. A MAN'S WORK IS NEVER DONE.
I have still got to cook dinner tonight, and do most of the washing up, before Ros takes over and cleans down.
Julia and Lewis have just gone, It will be quiet without him. He laughts and takes the P out of me, proper little wind up merchant.
Just been to the garage outside, it's turned sooooo cold. I expect another frost tonight. Even I have a shirt on !!!!
Julia has bought Ros a 50 yard coil of ribbon for making bows. It's just like a lace netting, also a front door Christmas SWAG. Photo on it's way soon. It is instead of a wreath..
Ros is now busy ironing, so I will go and read my book.

Frank,I love the swag.I think it is time I got something new for my door. The wreath I had for ages must be looking a bit tired now :-S :-S
It has turned really cold now ,and I relented and have lit the fire.I just can't get downstairs warm enough.Hopefully when all the work is done the heat will stay in. My tiles come tomorrow. We need to make some space in the garage for all the boxes. Then this weekend is going to be spent clearing out EVERYTHING from the Utility room and back porch. There is so much stuff that we are having to put the welsh dresser and a ton of other stuff outside and cover it all with a tarpaulin. That's going to be fun(Not) :-| :-|
I hope to hear from Janice sometime this evening to hear how the funeral went.I imagine they are feeling pretty drained now and then they have the journey home to Tewkesbury from London.
It will be quiet in your house now then Frank :-D
Our post has only just arrived ......8 catalogues :-S :-S

Psssst - (sshhhhh) - we saw a hedgehog creeping round the ivy at the base of the oak tree down the bottom of our garden today. Hoping he will hibernate there for the winter. Like one did before.
Had a lovely surprize visit today from grandson Matthew & his wife with lovely baby Grace to keep us all amused. She is so good and all smiley - why is it when a baby smiles all the grown ups smile too?
Off to put the dins on. C U later

I have put the food out for ours again. He has it every night. Some tinned cat food and some dried cat food and it's all gone by the morning whether I see him or not.
Hope John and Hannah get a chance to see the northern lights as that must be a wonderful thing to see.

Pat ,I bought a coat last winter for Chester. The first ever.He was not impressed lol But this winter he will have to wear it if it is really cold as there is no meat on him now :-S We have a lot of bangs going off somewhere.Chester came in pretty quick after his wee making whining noises.Pat next time you go on holiday it might be good for you to find someone who will have Mocha in their own home.I think I said before that Chester was very unhappy in Kennels so I changed and he has had a very happy time when we have been away in a Home from Home situation. Are you off tomorrow?Have a wonderful holiday.
