Did Hannah do your nails too Jane? I've never had a manicure or pedicure done.....must be nice. I'm not so keen on the trend for doing fingernails cut straight across though and like the corners at least rounded a bit!! I bet it is very cosy now with your log fire.......methinks Chester is loving it.You are lucky Chris spotted your jumper was inside out, I sometimes do that and don't notice till I take it off. lol.
Mel, I got the pics. :-S What a lovely little box your OH has made, nice and draughtproof too. I do hope it is a lady Hedgie and wouldn't it be great if she had a little family in there. We picked the rest of our tomatoes this week. Hopefully the red ones will help the green ones 'turn'. If not, we'll have fried green tomatoes.
Frank, I know I couldn't live with either MIL or FIL, I wouldn't last a week......a fuse would blow :-S I have the most bitten lips and tongue from holding back as it is!! I don't think sleeping in would be allowed.....they get up at the exact same time every day! lol. I'm sure they think we do too, whatever we say to them!!
I had a little ride out to Swinford with my camera today.........phew what a big wind farm they have there now!! I stopped by a field with a Pheasant in it. He watched me for ages, then ran like mad, but..........towards me!!! He veered off then towards the hedge so I couldn't see him. I'm sure he thought I'd come to feed him. Then I saw a bird I've never seen in the county before.......a Jay, beautiful with bright blue bars on his wings. He'd gone by the time I'd stopped though.

Very cold here tonight and a clear sky with lots of stars.
No hedgie tonight so far and I don't blame him.
It is really nippy out there.
I have sent the pics of the hedgie box to Ann only at the mo.

M orning all,
All up by EIGHT this morning, didn't get that extra hours lay in !!!
Jans decided to meet Harvey on the A1 and bring Lewis here. We can stay overnight again, so they can spend some time with him. Ros and I haven't bought enought TABLETS, so we will have to make do, till we get home tomorrow.
All these plans could go out of the window, if Lewis is playing football this afternoon, we assume not because of half-term
Three of us had Indian last night, and all had an iffy tummy. Ros was fine with her Chinese.
Everywere is wet and cold this morning, so won't be going for any kind of walk.
Off for a shower and shave, Catch you nlater.

Afternoon everyone,
Did everyone remember to put the clocks back ? i did the bedside clock when we went to bed as i hate looking at the clock in the night and then have to work out the time !! The rest we did this morning , the only trouble was the boiler came on extra early !!
It keeps raining here , hubby is trying to burn some more of his old work books in the incinerator , he'll stink of smoke when he comes in :-S :-S
We're having a nice piece of Loin of Pork tonight , quite looking forward to a nice roast with veggies and crispy roast potatoes . Just wondering if i should do a pud , but we don't always want one after a roast , we only feel stuffed if we eat one !!

One of my favourite Joints Mandy :-D.I always have a pud but like you very often no-one wants it . I feel so cold .The heating is on (not lighting the fire today),but I just can't get warm.I think it might be to do with the fact there is no flooring in the kitchen and other parts,no skirting boards and holes here and there where plaster has come away when the skirtings were yanked off.
Chris went to bed last night ,and the last thing he said to me was that he was going to do the Alarm Clock and his watch.I went up and he was fast asleep with his specs on,book in hand and no clock/watch altered :-S Our boiler changes automatically each time the clocks go forward or back which makes me really happy as I hate sorting out timers.
I remember one year when I was still at home.Mum cooked a lovely Roast as we very expecting my Aunty and Uncle from Westward Ho!.They were late and we were all worried that they might have had an accident. But eventually they turned up all smiles having no idea that they had forgotten to change their clocks the night before lol. They were mortified ,but everyone just laughed about it and were thankful the Lunch wasn't ruined :-D
Is your leg alright now Mandy?

I remember one year when we had the pet shop and opened at 10am on a Sunday. We had forgotten the hour back and went in at the normal time of 10am and could'nt understand why the garden centre was'nt open as that opened at 9am. We went in our shop at the back and just got on with feeding and watering the animals. It was'nt until they said the time on the radio that we realized what we had done.

Last night we went to bed late and i said to hubby ......we'd better get to sleep i need my Beauty Sleep ........you do he said !! not the answer i was expecting !! LOL
Oh i hate this having to closing the curtains early , seems a long evening when you have to do that ,but then winters draws on . And it seemed very strange having a meal with the blinds down and the lights on tonight .
I wonder if Maureen is a granny again :-)
Raining harder here too now .

Lol Mandy......hope you gave him a dig in the ribs! :-) Glad your hip is better......and hope the knee stays good too! What's next......you know how things go in threes?
It is good that a lot of clocks adjust themselves these days, but I always have trouble remembering how to do the one in the car!! :-S It feel like someone has really flipped the 'winter' switch now, cold, dark and rainy!!
They are starting a new system with our bins soon (to save money!). They are going to stop collecting glass for recycling ........instead we will have to take it to recycling points ourselves!! Also, instead of having a seperate bin for newspapers and another for plastics and cans, we will put them all in the one bin. I would have thought it better we still seperate them as somewhere along the line someone will have to do it. :-S Also, our big paper bin is always full so I'm not sure how we'll fit our plastics and cans in as well. :-S
OMG I have just seen an old boy on the telly. He still trades on Wall St using his computer......aged 105!!! His brother is 103 and his sister is 108 and has smoked for 95 years! They would think of us as 'youngsters' wouldn't they. lol
