No Jane, I'm on here. Down the other end of the through lounge.
Just had a nice seafood platter. With some bread and butter. Bloo#y Hansome as we would say. I do miss the Tubby Isaacs in Whitechapel. You could always get a great plate of Jellied ells, mussels, cockles.welks etc. Also the fish barrow outside the local pub on Sunday lunchtime. Outside the FOX and HOUNDS MEL. just down from the White Hart.
I was going to water in the plants this afternoon, but though blow it. Glad I didn't now as it's raining here also.
Lynn came by today wth "NORMAN" the Labradoddle, He is allways excited when he sees me, and was weeing as he stood letting me fuss him. He's still only a pup, and an absolute darling. I WANT HIM !!!
I watched that "Surprise Surprise" this evening, well it was on. Those two sisters ammazed me,only 5 years apart in age, but what a grand girl was at 14, caring for her sister like that.
The heating is on at this end too, I am in a pair of shorts stripped to the waist, I can't stand it being too hot, it makes me very irratable. Grumpy old So# I hear you say. I could save a fortune on heating if I lived alone. :-D :-D :-D
Going to have a looksey round eBay.

Oh dear Jane. what a complete pain!! You must be really fedup, I know I would be! We are putting up a light over the kitchen sink at the moment, then MORE shelves!!Yes we have certainly come on a long way since this time last year! I don't think I could go through all that again, looking back it could all have gone so badly wrong, makes me shudder to contemplate what the outcome could have been!! Uncertain about tooth!!! seems firm enough this morning, could have been a smidge of bread caught in a gap! keep an eye and see what happens, I'm seeing the hygenist in two weeks so will see what she thinks, if it lasts that long!! I think it will be a crown and I'm just delaying the inevitable!!!! Dreary old day here, misty and damp, even Millie is cheesed off!

Morning from a dank misserable morning in Northampton. I couldnt believe how dark it was this morning. Lights on, heating on, LONG sleeve shirt on. !!!
What have you been upto Mandy. :-D :-D :-D Should be careful what you get upto at your age ;-) ;-) ;-)
Jane, I thought yesterday you had heating and things were better after the system had been drained. Have you been FIDDLING with the controls. Have you checked the timer ????
Mel, your little hedgy will be as fat as a piggy, if you keep feeding like this. When he settles down to sleep for the winter, he will be one contented Hedgehog !!! Bless him.
Glad I got the planting down yesterday, wouldn't want to be out there this morning. My body aches this morning, I got pain in mussels, I didn't know I had <3 <3 <3
CRUMPETS for breakfast again. Ros smelt them in the toaster and wanted some, hers had Blackberry and apple jam on, mine had honey.
Hope those of you who have to go out, stay dry.
What time was MILs op today Mandy.??? Hope all go well, and she we be home very soon. Will you be the home help, or can FIL manage.

Frank everything was working fine yesterday. Then James had a bath and we thought he had used all the water, but he said it was just like warm.No no hot water at all ,but the heating is fine.......weird ! The man just rang and is on his way.Lets hope it is something simple.Although here it could be anything :-S
Lets hope all goes fine for Ann's MIL today .
It is still horrible here.I think it is going to be the same all day.I just cleaned out the grate ready for the Chimney Sweep on Wednesday. My nose is all stuffy now from all the soot .
Gas man here ,and it was air in the pipe that fed the tank.He is now checking the Immersion .So hopefully I will have a full tank of nice hot water soon.
You and your Crumpets Frank. ;-) I remember sometimes on a Sunday Teatime we would have Crumpets with lots of dripping butter. The other favourites for Sunday Tea were Mums Scones and Dads Dropped Scones or Scotch Pancakes.
Man gone ,now a spot of lunch :-D

HIC CUPS Pat, Drink a glass of water with your ears and nose blocked off :-D :-D :-D It works for me.
Just shows what blocked air can do Jane ;-) ;-) ;-)
I've been on here all morning/afternoon. I am looking at 32" 40" and 42" T.Vs Ros has said she will buy me one for Christmas. Larger screen should be better for my eyes. Going to get Harvey to go and look at one in Toddington over the next few days. If it's no good I can blame him ;-) ;-)
Sorry Mandy I meant Anns MIL this morning.
Weather seems to have brightened a bit, not drizzling at the moment. I bet it will be horrible tonight. Winter draws on !!!!

Yes Frank trapped wind/air lol is a right pain :-D.It was a lovely chap who came.He showed me the valve which he turned to release the air ,so I know what to do if it happens again. He has been here several times over the last couple of years. :-S
Just finished ironing now and am having a big glass of iced water. A new TV Frank! Ros is spoiling you

Jane, It won't be a new one, The one I have is fine but only 17". Ros would like me to get that fitted in the kitchen or bedroom, not that she is likely to watch it. She's hardly in the kitchen, and never comes to bed till after 1,00 am
The evenings are realy drawing in now. It's almost dark here.
Easy meal tonight. Cold leg of pork, from yesterday, Jacket potato, with coldslaw, cheese, and Baked beans. The spuds are in the oven as we speak. I always drizzle them in olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt. Makes the skins go nice and crisp.
When you get a Mo girls, can you find more about Mary Elizabeth Baker Born 1904 died 1978 ?? Husband Lewis Redvers Robinson. She was one of my Mums sisters.

Afternoon All,
MIL's operation went ahead this morning, 2nd on the list and she was just a bit groggy this afternoon. OH says she took 3 bags of stuff in with her so gawd knows where she has put it all! He will have done over 100 miles today, taking her in and ferrying his dad to and fro for the visiting times. Thick fog here now too. He left at 5.45am this morning and won't be home till about 9.30pm. Tomorrow should be easier though as there will be less trips. As we suspected, FIL is more than happy to sort himself out at home and said himself that he keeps telling MIL to let him do things!! A neighbour is keeping an eye on him and fetching his paper for him and another has said they will fetch any shopping he needs and we obviously would too. I don't know what he would do if the phone rings though..........answering it's another thing she's never let him do! To be honest, now his back is a lot better and the doc has ok'd him doing his morning exercises he is happier and more like his old self and seems to be in better shape than MIL.
I've had a trim and colour today. My stylist was wearing something different and interesting today! She had a black waterfall cardi with a panel of black glitter at the back over a sequined grey top over black miniskirt that had draped, puffed out bits over the side of the hips tapering towards the knee. Then she had black tights that were more sheer above the knee with 3 light grey rings above the knee like stocking tops and at the back of each leg was a half inch black strip from the grey rings to up under her skirt......bit like suspenders. Black glittery pumps on her feet!! :-D Very slim with long black hair, so it did look good on her.
I'm hopefully seeing my sister tomorrow and we are starting with a garden centre snack and natter, then maybe craft shops...........not if the fog is too bad though :-S She is slowly getting better from MRSA now, it has taken months for her to improve though.
Jane, I hope you have a 'key' for the radiators......put it somewhere you will often see it!! :-)
Frank, that is good news you are getting a bigger telly! :-D Our second one is a 32 inch. Size makes such a difference!! lol. ;-)
Mel, how much weight have you lost then. I didn't think you looked overweight when I saw you.
Had a letter this morning saying that my thyroxine needs to be increased. It has been the same dose for 18 years so I was surprised. Not altogether though as I have felt more lethargic lately and my skin seems drier......just thought it was 'old age'. :-D I hope it speeds my 'engine' a bit.
Mandy, I hope your leg is a bit better today and that the rest has helped. It is bewildering at times how easy it is to pull something doing something that seems quite gentle.
Pat, it sounds like you and Mocha are going to have a busy time with the grandchildren. I take it his tummy is better now.

Ann when I saw you it was two years ago!!!!!!!!! Since then I have put on a lot round the middle.
Mum died 2 years ago today................
I am still cooking for three and it always disappears. I wonder where it goes????? ;-) ;-) ;-)
While |I was out shopping this afternoon oh made me a smashing hedgehog box. He took some pics of it. It is down the bottom of the garden at the side of the bungalow where my new pond is and near to where I feed him. He has cat food tonight and the fat and stuff off my lamb shank. He has'nt been yet.
Thanks for the pics Frank. I did laugh at the white cat having it's bath in the sink!! Sorry but I am not aloud to forward things on as I have said before. :-( :-( :-(
