Annx Report 20 Oct 2012 22:35

Just tried to forward Mel's pics, but at the moment I can't even open her email......too much traffic at this time I expect so will try again tomorrow.

Loved the other emails........'incorrect' was brilliant Frank! I never realised boys used an old shoe tongue to propel the stone in their catapults before....what a good idea!

Hope hedgy turns up Mel, off to bed now, have replied Jane..........will catch up with the posts tomorrow.....night, night........beautiful sunset earlier here too.

Morning All and Evening Kim,

Not so nice here today as it is dull and cloudy.

We too had a lovely sky last night in fact I took some pics but they never come out as good as it was. I hav'nt actually downloaded them yet.

Hedgey did come last night but later on. He ate a whold saucer full of food. I really don't know where such a small creature puts it all. I missed him eating at the saucer so threw him a bit of mince from last nights dinner I had saved.

I shall have to find a better way to send the pics as some of you seem to be having trouble opening them.

Don't know where this week has gone! It seemed like it had only just started and here we are at the end of it.

Have any of you been watching The Paradise?

Jane

Morning Mel and All.Evening Kim
Well after thick fog first thing it is now a lovely day..I have a load of shirts in the machine so they will be out on the line soon.I am still in my nightie, but have showered and washed my hair.
Chris took Chester over the back field ,and while they were there next doors BIG German Shepherd went haring across to them and was sniffing around Chester. Both him and Chris were a bit spooked. The stupid chap was miles away at the end of his garden blowing a whistle for the dog.The trouble is the end of their property is not fenced properly. They are so irresponsible when it comes to their animals :-S :-S.It makes me so cross.
At the other side of the field is a tarmac path that leads straight to the A14 so the dog could quite easily end up there .
Right got that off my chest :-D

I don't know what time James will be home from Canterbury so have decided to do a Casserole today.I just need to decide if it will be Beef or Chicken.

Mel I haven't seen any of the Paradise.I fell asleep in the first one and even though I really wanted to see it I just haven't :-|.Hopefully I will get to see a Repeat.

Yes I've been watching the Paradise. Not sure about it!!! little bit slow maybe, but I think it has potential!!! Downton tonight, let's hope it doesn't go from bad to worse! It's poor Mr Bates I feel rather despondent about! My SIL had Toximia and pre eclampsia when she had her first baby in 1974, and she was very very ill. No chance of recovery in 1921! What with that and the Irish SIL, doesn't bode well! Dull old day here so OH is putting up shelves and a light over the kitchen sink, we get smarter by the minute!!!

Hi Liz it sounds like you are still getting things just right in your new home. Love to Ian and Millie and Merlin.

Jane if that man next door has too many complaints about his dog the authorities should do something about it.

Just washed my hair while oh is out ringing. Have to get the BIG breakfast ready to go now.

Frank

Frank Report 21 Oct 2012 12:05

Morning FRIENDS,

Yes very foggy here first thing, I have been up since 5.30. I woke up and was wide awake. Full up with cups of tea now. I don't know if the sun will break through. Still very cloudy up there.

I bet you feel better now Jane with all that of your chest :-D :-D

I have my gardening cloths on now, ready to put in the wallflowers and hoover up more leaves. Still loads up there. I think I might give the tree a SHAKE and see how much comes down. Look out green bin you will be full before to long.

My little seedlings are coming on fine. Will see about transplanting them into single pots. I know I won't have enough, because I still have 180 winter pansies to plant out. The pots and baskets should look nice for Winter.

Mandy, I don't plant the Plants I bought on Friday till the die down a bit, then I find A SPOT LOL LOL is i'm lucky to put them in for next year.

Ros, Had another good nigtht last nigt and hasen't complained about any discomfort. So that's a good thing.

What exciting things are you up to today then.

I have dinner all prepared, so will get on with the gardening.

Liz ,I love the Deaf Wife email lol

I know Chris won't complain about the dog Mel :-S..He would no doubt say to me that I'm better at doing that than him.(wimp) :-D

Frank it is quite chilly outside ,you had better wrap up warm.
I went to Sains**** just now as they have 25% off if you buy 6 bottles of wine.I got 6 but their normal prices are quite steep so I don't think I would bother again.Asd* is the best value I think

Going back to the neighbours with the dog.A few years ago one of their Cocker Spaniels was found with it's leg caught in a wire fence at the bottom of someones garden that backs onto the back field.Poor thing must have been there for some time as it had to have its leg amputated. They obviously hadn't looked too hard for it :-S :-S.
I think I am going to get changed and put my old togs on.I won't be out again today.

I am having second thoughts about leaving you all! 'Never do anything in haste' my stepfather used to say! mind you,he would sometimes take SO long to decide on something that the rest of us had forgotten about what it was about long ago!! but I am having a re-think - it's just I am spending SO long on the pooter each day - perhaps I need to be more disiplined!!!! For heaven's sake Jane, your neighbours shouldn't be allowed to keep dogs! If that had been Millie we would have gone mad looking for her, as I'm sure the rest of us would! In anycase surely they would have heard it howling!! they sound 'uncaring'!! :-| Lamb etc for us today, not too much washing up, hooray! :-D

Afternoon everyone,

Not cold here , been a bit dull, the family came this morning for coffee and a piece of my cake!! and the little ones went out to play on the bikes ,now brightened up and the sun is trying to break through.

That poor dog Jane !! fancy not knowing where your dog is !! makes my blood boil when i hear things like that ,they shouldn't be allowed to keep dogs .

Hubby has got an incinerator to burn some private papers ,thought it would save shredding them, he has lots of his old work books in the loft ,going back to when he first started working on his own !!! i think he has to keep his books from the last seven years ,so there lots to burn up .
The only thing is ......he now stinks of smoke !!! :-S

Took some photo's of the three girls this morning ,will send them later .

Frank

Frank Report 21 Oct 2012 14:13

Well I am in for the rest of the day now. Planted about 80/100 wallfrower plants, When that lot come out with the daffs and tulips and other spring flowers , the garden should look a picture.

It has turned colder this morning, I had a long sleeved jumper on as well as a zip up fleece.Got quite hot under that lot, but hands, ears and nose got chilly.

Meat prepared for the oven, leek and cauli in cheese sauce ready for the grill. Pots and parsnips boiled and drained. Only the veg to boil when required. Of course I will have to cook the meat and Yorkshire.

Going to sit with a beer and read the paper. Bye for now.

Liz . glad to see you haven't decided to leave us.

Jane Report 21 Oct 2012 15:37

Aah Mandy
What lovely pics of your girls.I love the look on Lacey's face in the last one lol.The other 2 are having a right giggle. Was Lacey filling her nappy???

Frank it sounds like you have earned your rest with Beer and Papers :-D.
I have just switched on the heating as it feels chilly in the house.I think the radiators are hotter now after having them all bled yesterday.

Beef Casserole in the oven now.I chucked a load of thyme in from the garden and I can really smell that.James has just arrived home.He said it took him 5 hours to get to Canterbury on Friday as a Van was on fire in the Dartford Tunnel :-S.Not what he wanted after working all day.But he had a good journey home :-D

I need to get sorting a load of pants and socks .Chris was dropping a hint earlier that his drawer is looking rather empty.

Liz that would be good it you decide to stay with us :-D :-D

Strange thing occurred 3 days ago.
A huge artic, the size of of a house reversed into our cul de sac and parked outside our bungalow at 6.20 am

Driver was lost.Wanted to find the Sanofi factory less than a mile away.
Went on his way with no lights on :-0

A neat bit of reverse parking to get to my door

Annx Report 21 Oct 2012 16:54

Yes, what lovely girls they are Mandy! I like the 3rd pic, they always seem to be so happy and smiling! :-D

We've stayed in today and I'm going to do some work on last week's bracelet now. You need 2 threaded needles for this one! :-S

Frank you are putting me to shame again doing all that planting. I still have a few more things to plant including some dwarf tulips. I must dig up the old geraniums too.

We are having an early night tonight and will watch Downton tomorrow as OH has to be up at 5.00am to go and take his mum in for her operation. We are putting 2 alarm clocks on as he just isn't used to being up that early since retiring!! lol.

Liz it is good you are on to doing the finishing touches at your place now.......look how far things have come since this time last year!!

Jane, your neighbour does seem a bit uncaring with their animals. It doesn't sound like it would have taken them long to find the little dog with the trapped leg if they'd looked.

Jane

Jane Report 21 Oct 2012 17:14

David ,it always amazes me how these drivers maneuver such massive vehicles.Fancy no light though .Was he tired do you think?Must have been driving through the night if he was in your rd at 6.30 am.Was he an English Driver?

Mel I got your pics through from Ann(Thankyou Ann).Bit difficult to see the dear little Hedgie, but what a beautiful one of the Butterfly and that wooden bowl/ornament.I'm not sure what to call it.I think it is stunning :-D :-D
It seems to be a problem opening 'Zip' emails :-S

I'm just watching last Sunday's Downton .I need to catch up before tonight's episode.

Oh you have all been busy today, especially Frank.

Liz do please stay with us as we will all miss you if you go :-( :-(

Is that braclet a tricky one Ann.

I must go and look at the new pics from Mandy as I hav'nt yet.

I hav'nt done much today except wash my hair and do some washing and got it out on the line.

I have just turned our heating on as it is quite chilly now. Oh has just said "got the heating on again. You should strip off and run round the garden a couple of times and then when you come in you will think it is warm in here. Bl**dy cheek :-|

Italian I'd say petal.

I'm not that far from the main road.He may have slept a few hours in a lay by while almost within "sight" of Sanofi (used to be Winthrop's)

David Report 21 Oct 2012 17:37

The tractor unit being a separate component to the trailer gives the driver more maneuverability or articulation.
