Jane.that which I refered to smelt lovely long after her passing.

First time I'd noticed :-)

Jane

Jane Report 17 Oct 2012 18:45

David ,I have had the same after my Mum died. With some of her makeup things. Also the other week when my sister was staying with me we found one of Dad's old Tobacco tins. The first thing Janice did was open it and do a big sniff.Sadly there was no smell of the Gallaghers Honey Dew (flaked).

Mandy good luck to your son in giving up the fags. It's not easy.I bet with 4 children now he can't afford it either.
I must admit I do like the odd one.Especially with a drinky poo.But only at home lol

Jane

Jane Report 17 Oct 2012 19:34

I can't open it Mel .Maybe if someone who can see your Hawk can forward it to me I might be able to see it then.

I had a good laugh this morning.I had managed to get the Insurance to cover the cost of the new leak with the radiator.Chris had an email from the insurance chap to say there would be a cheque for £250 coming to us for it.He sent an email saying
"Thanks Muvver" .Thought it was to me ....but he sent it the the Insurance chap lolol
He then had to send an apology saying "Last email sent in error" :-D :-D

I think I heard the words , a touch of "INDIAN SUMMER" mentioned on the weather forecast today. Now do we dig out our summer clothes again??? :-D

I've attempted to send Mel's Hawk, Jane/ Shirl. It is a real beauty Mel and looks in really good condition. Where I lived before we would get one sit in the tree next to the bird table.

I wear those mule things too Mandy and have nearly come a cropper at times when they slip half off! lol. They are nice and cool in the summer though. Well done to your son for trying to give up, he will feel all the better for it if he can manage it.

Jane I bet your neighbour was amazed at you having pics on your laptop. I bet she is enjoying your company each day. :-D

OH is off to Lincoln to a meeting tomorrow. I was all set to go with him as I had found a bead shop there and it is a very nice place anyway. Now I've changed my mind as we have found out he will be there from about midday till at least 5.30pm which is a bit long........even with all the shops there's a limit to how long I want to be tramping around! He says he'll take me another time. :-) What it does mean is that I can crack on with lots of jobs........without interruptions and questions!! Jane will know what I mean in a few month's time. :-D :-D

Off to bed now, night night...........zzZZZZZZZ

Off to bed soon myself.

See you all in the morning.

Hello everyone,

It's been a long day. Have been babysitting the new pet. My daughter and her boyfriend have adopted a Border Collie X named Diego. He is very pretty a cameo and white - have not seen that combination in this breed before. He has very wolfish eyes and likes doing naughty things on my leg. Gawd this old duck is past all that nonesense, lol. He's a bit too boisterous for me. Lives out on acreage, so our backyard is a bit restrictive for him. Definitely needs some puppy training.

Has been a sunny day, but a bit cool at times.

I did manage to get out on Sunday and had lunch with my school friend. First time out for a while. Very enjoyable day, but the inevitable tiredness has set in; it was worth it though.

Not much to report, so off to watch the news. Have a good day all. 5.47 pm DST

Morning/Evening All

Oh Kim,Diego sounds a right live wire. How often will you be 'babysitting' him??What do you mean when you say he lives on an acreage ?How old is he?I was lucky with Chester he never did ruderies on legs.He did though with his blanket(still does occasionally )

We had rain last night .It woke me up twice as it was so heavy :-S.Then when I got up it was sunny. Now it is all grey .But really mild,so I am in short sleeves.

Just going to have a coffee and sit and make my shopping list.I think it will be a fairly big one today.

Jane he doesn't live at our place, but was just visiting. They have a property 15 minutes from here on about 8 acres, so the pup has lots of room to run around. He is 4 months old and has had the snip - wonder how long it will be before he stops with the ruderies???? I hope I will not have to babysit often, but he is a very pretty dog.

Afternoon All,

Mel,that's just it........you have to stop and go and look at everything he does even if you are in the middle of doing something yourself! :-S Us ladies just get on with umpteen things at the same time ! lol He comes and tells me I've left things out when I know...... and haven't finished using them or...... worse, thinks he is helping by putting them away again!!!!! Very annoying in the garden when you turn around to pick your spade up and it has been locked in the shed and you have to take shoes off to go and fetch the key out of the kitchen!! He switches lights off, shuts doors or locks the back door when I am still 'tooing and froing' with hands full of stuff. He does usually get me a drink if he gets one for himself though. I just pegged out a load of washing which he usually does now and noticed the line on the rotary is full of cracks and about to break.......why didn't he notice that? :-S He is very good and helpful in lots of ways but, OMG I think I am going backwards some days!!!

It rained a lot in the night here too.......but lovely sunshine now ideal for my garden jobs.

I went out earlier and got some eggs and saw a nice neat dwarf evergreen azalea at the same place......only £3.25.....how could I resist! That's another thing to plant.

Nice to hear from you Kim and good you had a meal out with your friend. Diego sounds full of beans. Hopefully the snip will calm him down in that way soon!! ;-) It's hard to stop some habits like jumping up if some let him get away with things . He should be a quick learner though being young and part collie. See if you can get a pic to send. :-)

Well, I've got my gardening 'rags' on and had a cuppa so I better crack on.......BBL.

fternoon al,
I have been earning "BROWNIW POINTS" I have ironed all the washing from yesterday, sheets, pillow cases, tea towels, hankies, 3 shirts, All that's left are Ros's TOPS. I would be in trouble doing those :-D :-D

We had a nice meal last night. Carolyn collects cupeons from the paper. Last nights offer was FRee starter of free sweets. We went for the starteds. If you have been to a Harvester you will know they do an excellent salad display. Everything you could want.(SELF SERVICE) After that they bought the starters,. The boys had Chillie prawns and the girls breaded mushrooms, There were loards of them (must have boght to many) and getting rid !!!! Mains were great I had a Gammon, Ros Scampi, John, F & C and Carolyn Chicken breast with Jakcet and sour cream. A nice couple of pints and we were home before 9.00pm.

Ros is having her feet done this morning, They get so bad with dead shin, that needs needs to go every 6 weeks. Tororrow we go to the Doctors for her biopsy. 1.00 pm If she feels allright I might treat her to lunch out. Oh what a GREAT husband she has.!!!!! I can't get my head through the door at the moment, so will have to wait till it goes down. :-D :-D :-D

Rain here also last night, but a nice sun shiney day here at the moment.

I am finding, that as I type some letters aren't coming up. You are constently having to go back what you have typed.

Heads gone down so will get a bit of lunch.

BEHAVE THIS AFTERNOON. !!!

Afternoon everyone,

Dry here and more washing out ,oh suns now shining .

Oh yes Kim lets have a photo of Diego , Border Collie's are lovely dogs ,we had one called Tibby when i was little cried my eyes out when he went .

So Ann, hubby's good at locking doors some times :-D :-D didn't you say he locked you out once ?
I got a tray of eggs this morning 2 1/2 dozen £4-00 ,DIL has half the tray ,i was hoping they would have the really big eggs again , i had some the other week and they were all double yolkers and they were BIG eggs !!! more like a goose egg!!

Frank, you have been a good boy ,doing all that ironing , you could have taken on Maureen's ironing while she's away :-D

Change of plan for tea tonight , family coming tomorrow now as hubby has to go to look at some work , it keeps rolling in and he thought he might do down to a four day week !!! carn't see him doing that !! while work keeps coming he'll do it .

Bought myself some new winter boots this morning , they have a nice tread on them and a bit of fur round the ankle , like all new boots or shoes i buy i bet they give me a blister when i first wear them !!! must be the way i walk :-S :-S

Made me think about when i was little and having to have your feet measured in the shoe shop, you use to have to put your foot on and this contraption and the tape would go round your foot to see what width shoe you needed then the bar bit was slide down to your toes to find the size , then oh the pleasure in getting new shoes and the grumps when they didn't have the ones you picked out in your
size !!! seemed to happen to me a lot ......i bet mum gave them the wink as if to say ......no she's not to have that pair !!

Day two of the non smoker !!! wonder how he's getting on.....don't like to ring and make him think of them :-S :-S
