Evening all my beauties, !!!

You are a lot of chatter boxs again today. Takes me ages with this horrible bacground to read them all. !!!

Had a little walk, but forgot my camera.

Our ironing board must be a baby. We only bought it when we moved in here 15 years ago. It is big, as Ros likes plenty of room for her sheets. I had a real job finding covers fot it. Most are just to small.

Mandy, How dare you get a crab for tea without asking me to join you!!!!. I bet it was really braceing in the breeze today. When my ex was not well (she was never well)!!! The doctor would say take her to Southend and sit on the end of the pier. OMG it was in the Thames estury, you could hardley call that SEA AIR. With all the smog stuff that came from the factories :-D :-D :-D Now I can understand going to Wells/Yarmouth etc. Very good for you. Why is it that they say sea air makes you sleep better. is it the ozone ??

Mel, Conrad and Jan have the "BALL" and when I have ued it, it is so easy to use. We have an older Dyso# Animal. Which was great when we had the animals, but will change it sometime when this one packs up.

Ann, I can understand you OH not likeing other driveing, When I did a lot of sea fishing I always drove. Even as far as Cornwall on a Friday night, fish Sat. and Sunday, and drive back for work Monday Morning. Those were the days.

Liz, Glad you have found a DW to fit and do what you want. I bet you are just about all square now.

I picked a load more bans this afternoon, and pulled up the roots. A few more tomato's now in the consevatory rippening off. Plenty more to come. Now my "ALLOTMENT" is now clear. I will have to get to and dig a bit each day, till it's all done for the winter. Then that's me done till the spring. Ros had a tidy up, clipping bits off plants around the boarders and trimmed the lawn edges. She has picked up a load more leaves. But still loads to come off the trees.

Mel, Hannah going to Peru is news to me also, Jane only tells us what she wants us to know. :-D :-D :-D :-D Not really my sweet.

Downton just starting.

Morning all and evening Kim,

What is wrong with this site now. Yesterday it would'nt let me type in the box and then it all appeared about a minuet later. Now this morning it would'nt let me get to General chat to get on here and when I first started typing it was'nt working again.

I have had a email from Kim thanking me for the lizzard pic and she said she gets those over there and the cats are alway chasing them.

It rained here all evening last night and through the night and is sunny and showers this morning. Typical as it is shopping day........ :-|

Hello everyone,

Just a quick post to let you all know I am still alive and have missed you so much.

I won't be able to catch up on all the posts, but I have been enjoying the photos and I do try to send a return email.

Jane, Pat relayed your very sad news and I am so sorry that this young woman has passed away never to see her young children grow up. Life just isn't fair sometimes.

I hope everyone is in fine fettle and your weather isn't too cold yet. We have been all over the place with high temps. and bushfires and then a snow storm. It is curious weather, but warming up again.

Take care and I will chat tomorrow. My daughter has started her HSC exams so it is a little tense here at the moment. (When is it not - when she's not at home, lol).

I will be watching Downton in a minute as I recorded it last night and went to bed early.
I will iron at the same time.

I think I did mention a while ago that Hannah was going to Peru. :-D.Her and John are going in July for I think at 12 day trip and then 4 nights in the Amazon. It's sounds an amazing holiday.(Not sure I would fancy the bugs etc though)

I started this post ages ago ,but have been up and down doing things.I need to concentrate on one thing at a time lol

Ann your necklace is so pretty.I would never be able to do those fiddly bits like you have done. You have dainty fingers which must help, not sausages like me :-S

Morning all/Evening Kim.

Nice to see you were able to post today Kim. I heard on our news that there were SNOW STORMS in Australia. Are they near you ??? You make sure you keep warm, Don't want you catching cold on top of all your ailments !!!

Looking dull and misserable here to Mel, I think we had rain in the night. Everywhere wet and windy.

Jane, That sounds one hell of a trip for Hannah, Will they be on a guided holiday or "BACK PACKING" ??? as you say all those bugs/snakes/spiders. I think that would turn me off. as much as I love nature.!!!

Ann, Ros thought the necklace looked nice and must have been difficult to do.

Off for my shower and shave.

I had FOUR crumpets for breakfast with home made Blackberry and apple jam. LOVED it.

David Report 15 Oct 2012 13:31

I eat well and drink as much as is necessary.
I get enough rest.

Yet this last few days I've been extremely tired for no reason I can identify.
Is there something going about or am I just getting old?

Maureen

Maureen Report 15 Oct 2012 15:05

Maybe you are just missing the summer David, there is a condition called SAD (seasonal affective disorder).

Have spent a lovely weekend with daughter, we did manage to get to the Victoria and Albert Museum, lots of interesting stuff and had a really nice lunch, bit pricey though, but we did have a couple of glasses of wine each and I guess being South Kensington, a hot tourist spot would bump the price up. Sunday we took a drive out to Chessington to see my other daughter and Harry, it was a lovely sunny day a bit cold though, she's only got a few more days to her due date I was hoping the baby might come before I go away, but they usually come when they are ready not when you want them to.

Have been trying to sort out clothes for the holiday, quite difficult looking at strappy tops when I've got the heating on, I always take too much but have to be careful as Ry**n Air are not very generous with their baggage allowance. I've got to get it all sorted today as I will be ironing all day Tues and Wed and then we're off quite early Thurs.

Frank Report 15 Oct 2012 17:33

I think we are all getting the gitters with the site. It does seem to bring up the typing slower than usual. IT'S the weather. !!!

OH SHIRL, DO HOPE YOU CAN SEE THIS. i PUT IT IN CAPITALS FOR YOU. HOPE YOU ARE FEELING A BIT BETTER. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT MUST BE LIKE TO HAVE THAT DONE, BUT CAN ONLY ASSUME IT WOULD BE PAINFULL. MY LOVE TO YOU. xxxxx <3 <3 <3

What a horrible day , been raining here all day again (that wet drizzle).

What have you done to Chester Jane, to get him in a state like that. teazing him with tit-bits :-D :-D :-D No indigestion this mornng.

Looking forward to my dinner tonight. Cold pork, Jacket potato done in the oven with olive oil rum and covered in tin foil. I will do that with cheese, onion and a few baked beans. Ros is having mash and veg.

David, I think the weather is getting to you. Get yourself one of these "LIGHT BOXS" they are suppose to be good for this SAD. I know an old friend of ours allways complained when autum/winter came. But there again she allways complained about something !!!

Maureen, Just put in your bikini and a few tops and shorts. Get the sun on your back. A couple of dress's for the evenings and your are done. one small case wil be plenty <3 <3 :-D :-D :-D Do hope you have a nice time, and that you enjoyed your weekend. If I had an upto date Passport. I would jump on the plane with you. ;-) ;-) ;-) Now N ow girls don't get upset. I love you all <3 <3

Pat, pleased your teeth are settleing down. Nothing worse, than when they rub the gums. I can honestly say I HATE my dentures. But must wear them, thats life !!!

Jane

Jane Report 15 Oct 2012 17:39

David ,I think the dark mornings and early dark evenings can make some people feel a bit tired and lacking energy.I feel a bit like that myself today.

LOL Shirl. Our Frank obviously likes his Crumpet ;-) :-D I hope your eye isn't too painful and uncomfortable .

Maureen you will be getting excited now with your holiday just a couple of days away.Who is looking after the puss cats when you are away?

And you too Pat .Not that long before you are off too.I don't know anything about Lanzarotte

Jane

Jane Report 15 Oct 2012 18:01

oops I pressed the submit button
As I was saying I know nothing about Lanzarote(SP).Is that the volcanic island?

Frank I haven't done anything with Chester, not even cooking anything. He was just a bloo** pest :-S :-S.He just seemed out of sorts.Maybe he has some pain with his stiff legs.I don't know ,but he was driving me bananas.

Pork Steaks ,Charlotte Potatoes,Mushrooms,Carrots and Red Onion all done on a tray in the oven together.

I nipped to the little Sainsb*** in Burton Latimer just now for a couple of bits.James gets in at 4.30 so I get time to go out before I start cooking. He heard today that he will definitely lose his job at the end of November :-S :-S.What a bummer.
So it will be search time again now for another.I am pretty sure his Boss will give him a really good reference. The company is relocating to Dewsbury. :-S

I just had the quote from the plumber who came yesterday. It is half the price that British G** quoted.Guess which one I will go with :-D

I think Fitz might be home tomorrow. So will probably get a visited from him on Wednesday to tell me all about his holiday in Pembrokeshire .

Evening everyone,

I heard on the radio this morning that the gritters were out in Norfolk , we never had any frost here , i had to pick sister up from work at quarter to eight and the sun rise was beautiful it looked like the sky was on fire ,all orange and red ,we had a little rain mid morning and then sun this afternoon.

Mel, i'am not keen on those little lizards , thank goodness we don't seem to have many here , i would run a mile if i saw one !!

Nice to see you back here Kim, hope your feeling better , oh dear it will be a bit tense in your house until the exams are over !!

Ann, another master piece, my goodness lots of tiny beads on that one to keep in place , and the silver side bits are pretty too.

David you could just buy one of the day light bulbs and put it in a lamp, i use one in my sewing light .

So not long now until you go away Maureen , and not long until the baby comes too, hope you have a lovely time .

Shirl , hope that eye is not too painful, not a nice thing to have done , how many more have you got to have ?

I've finished knitting Jake's top ,and i've covered a tea bag box with brown paper for the Gas Mask box and added a piece of string so it will go round his neck.

Jake has asked me if i would knit him some gloves now !! then son said yes ill have a pair too, so that's my next thing to do.

What a shame about James's job Jane, and just before christmas too poor boy ,i hope he soon finds another and a good reference from this boss should help.

Oh looks like its going to be wet and windy tonight :-S

GRITTERS! No Never!!!!.Maybe they were just moving somewhere.
Yes very disappointing news for James .He is looking very down in the mouth tonight :-S

I keep hearing big Bangs. It sounds like fireworks.I hope it's not. Can't be doing with that this early .
Mandy I think you are going to be windier than us here.(Not you personally lol)
Good idea to use a teabag box for the gas mask .

Chris is late tonight. It's never a good sign if he is late :-S.I might have 2 Grumpy Men to put up with tonight :-| :-|

Tomorrow morning when I go to Joan to give her her tablets I thought I might take my laptop and show her the photos of the Earless Squirrel we had.I think my laptop will work ok as I don't have to connect to the internet for Photobook.(Does that make sense?).I thought it would give her something else to talk about as we have now had the same conversations for 3 days now :-S :-S

Chris has just arrived ,so I will go and greet with a nice smiley face :-D :-D
