Morning All ad evening Kim,
Jane what sad news you had yesterday and I did'nt catch up on posts as I was busy. Please give Janice my love to get her over this sad time. But what a joy she will have seeing little William grow up.
Well it's is yet another misty dull day here and I am really getting fed up with the weather now as there seems to be no let up at all. Our leccy meter for the solar panels only managed 1 unit yesterday it was so dreary. That means it made us 43p all day. On a sunny or brightish day it will do 10 units at least but I suppose the days are getting much shorter now. I am just hoping for some bright days through the winter.
I saw the hedgehog in the garden again last night. It was on the grass at the begining of the orchard and it was munching away at something, probably a worm or slug or snail.
Frank I have'nt looked at your tree yet today but her name was Betsey Farmer. I sent you the marriage cert of Chrisopher Bedford and Betsey.

Well here I am, still biting nails in half.!!
Went to bed at 9.pm read till 10.30 took my sleeper and didn't go to sleep. Ros came to bed at 1.15 am and I was still awake and ready to blow my top. I got up had a cup of tea and read till 4.am. Got back to bed sleept till 7.30 am. Feel like a brrow full of You know what!!!!.
Going to put my Gardening cloths on and put some bulbs in, that way I am out of the way and can take my frustration out on something else.
Ann, we do have another Tele in the conservatory, but the screen is smaller, and I tend to get double vision watching it. So I end up going on the computer.
The T.V. is on now, I'm on trhe computer and Ros is in the Kitchen, what a waste. If I turn it off she complains, it's too quiet But won't have the Radio on.
Jane, I am sure Janice will be in touch when she has time to get her thoughts together. There must be a lot of arrangements to make, and I don't suppose her son feel like doing much yet. You and yours are in my thoughts. God bless.

I do wish you lot would not go on about the lovely weather your having at the mo...............................................ours has been cr*p for well over a week now. There is still more rain to come our way over the next few days. O for a lovely crisp frost and bright day afterwards...................
We were going to go out today and then oh changed his mind. Now we are going tomorrow!! I asked him where , the garden centre and he said not especially so I don't know where yet. Maybe Rosemoor as we want to see the coloured foliage but not sure if it is the right time or not. Still we could go again if need be as we have a membership.
Off to clean the bathroom now and then do a bit more ironing.

Sorry Jane, don't want to sound smug while you are still in a mess and having leaks but son came over and has done almost all the jobs I had on my list. Yipppeee The kitchen is now back to normal after ages. Could you not have a look at the dishwasher yourself. All that was wrong with mine was something needed tightening up, don't know what the call out charge is these days but I would have been really miffed to pay all that out only to learn I could have done it myself.
I'm a bit like Ros Frank, I can watch any old rubbish on the TV. Just think how pretty your garden will look in the spring when all those bulbs come up.

Well, I ended up in just my trourers in the garden. I got so HOT put in about 50 daffs and twenty tulips. Have cut both the lawns, but felt to knackerted to do the edges. They can wait till tomorrow. I only tripped in the boarder once. I now have a big pole that I put my weight on when I am leaning over. If I could get my hands on a small zimmer frame I could just lean over it. and save me falling.
Mel, So sorry about your weather, but I did warn you. !!! SORRY but there's more on it's way.
Mandy. I feel that a good kick up the ar## might do me some good. I hate getting depressed, and so bad tempered.
I have read the paper, and some of the stories make you feel this is not the Country it use to be.Judges letting off Benefit fraudsters. Ex 7/7 muderers wife running HUMAN BOMBING CLASS'S. Old man beaten up at 11.30 in the morning by some Basta## while his "girlfriend" stole his wallet, and TEN people stood by and ignored it.. No wonder I am depressed.
Going to sit in the garden with my book for a while. Take my mind off everything.
See you later.

Frank, I had to laugh about your comment of the TV being on all the time. Visitors here can't believe we don't have day time TV on. We would certainly put the TV off when visitors arrived at any time. First visit I had to Ireland many years ago, when Carmel was introducing me to her family, we went to visit her brother first. Being keen to catch up on everything, she asked her brother to turn off the TV. He looked at her like she'd grown two heads, turned the set off - then said "It's like someone's gone out of the room!" Since then, we've noticed a lot of people leave the set on just talking away to itself in the middle of the room. . . .Ours doesn't usually get switched on until about 7pm.
Hope you've all enjoyed the bit of sunshine today. We haven't been out today, Carmel is too concerned with this oncoming biopsy. Anyway, her sister is doing a whistle-stop on Friday, coming over from Ireland for a couple of days and I'm to pick her up from Nuneaton station. That should cheer her up a bit.

I don't have the TV on during the day either William mine goes on about 5.00 quite like Bradley Walsh's The Chase. It's funny visiting people, even if the TV is off my eyes keep going to it, I realise I'm doing it but can't stop myself.
Lucky you Frank it must be warmer there than here, I put the cushions out on the chairs to have my lunch out there but it was so cold I had to come in.
Dare I look to see if it is still raining in Tenerife !!!!!

Ok Miss Smug :-D :-D.I'm glad you are all sorted now .At least one of us is lol Well the gasman agreed the wet bit in the garage is most likely to be coming from a pipe from the kitchen radiator.Could just be a pin prick ,maybe a nail gone through or something.Anyway he said B Gas will be very expensive if I went with them so when the Plumber came to look at the dishwasher(he can't find any problem there) I asked him if he would do the radiator .He said no problem ,he will get his mate Jim to give me a call. I have lost track of what I was going to say as I just had a call from Fiona :-D She sounded a lot Brighter after seeing the Neurologist last night. He thinks she has something called Polymyalga Rheumatica and she will be starting on Steroid tablets .Hopefully within about 3 weeks she should start to see a big improvement. Frank.Fiona says thankyou very much for your ecard.Lovely flowers :-D
I had to laugh this morning when I hung out all the shirts.Chris has written the word 'DAD' on the neck label of a couple as they get mixed with James's lol It is like being back at school with names in the uniforms !!
I see food prices are going up again :-S :-S.Chris was saying the other day that Olive Oil prices will rocket .I use so much of it and have seen some at half price lately so have bought a fair bit now.Trouble is where to keep it lol
Janice called and said they are ok.Just feel very flat today.
Now what for dinner.......Meatballs and Spaghetti I think. Not sure Chris will be too chuffed with that . I think he has just arrived ,so will go and greet him like a good wifey :-D :-|

Your gasman or the plumber should have repaired your leak instead of putting you on to some one else :-(

A pint and a cooked meal sounds a treat.Think I will see what the local's ale and food is like.
On the Atkinson side of my family tree, the maternal side,I was asking about the Father of Joseph Atkinson,my GGF.
I see I have another Joseph before him, husband of Isabella.
Honestly,I cannot recall if I found it or was given it??

Evening All,
I hope the fresh air and getting the bulbs in has helped Frank. I do the same in the garden with my small spade as you do with your pole, use it to lean against to climb about and when I lean over. It makes it much easier. It sounds like you need a bigger telly in the conservatory........January sales won't be long now you know! :-D OH watches the sport on our big telly in HD, but will go elsewhere if I want to watch something. We rarely have tv on in the day unless we aren't well or it is the Olympics or Wimbledon or an occasion like that. William, it used to drive me mad at work when I visited people at home to interview them and write statements and they kept the telly on!! I would just keep saying 'pardon' and 'sorry, I didn't catch that' until they turned it right down or even better, OFF!! :-|
Well, we got up this morning, saw the sunshine and thought sod the arbour and went out instead!!! :-D :-D Some of the trees are looking really pretty now with the autumn tints so we enjoyed driving around seeing them. We also called somewhere where they had an arbour like ours and were able to go and try lifting it assembled. Now we know we can do that, we can assemble it, then lift it onto the patio after which will be better.
MIL has had Polymyalgia Rhuematica for about 10 years now. She was told that a lot of cases only last about 2 years, but hers didn't. I know she had a lot of tiredness and muscle aches and weakness, but the tablets quickly sorted her out, so hopefully it will be the same with Fiona. She still has occasional flareups, but soon improves again with stronger tablets for a while.
I love the 'DAD' shirts!! lol. We need something like that for our black socks. OH pairs them up after washing. He will often sit with one of mine on his big foot swearing it has shrunk!! I'm sure him wearing my socks is why I'm the only one that seems to buy any!!! :-S lol.
At least you are getting your water leaks sorted at the same time Jane. It would be worse if you had just got all the work and decorating all done. I have never had B Gas do anything......usually the most expensive.

Hi all,
Feeling a bit better this evening apart from the aches. !!!
Will, In the 50s when my brother called to see Mum and dad. He would come in and say "I've come to see you not the Tele. Turn it off Please" and withour a murmur one of them did it.
Sorry to see Liz going from GR. What with Shelia as well.
Ann, I wish I had thought of the pole before, it did save be tottering around. I've put it with my tools now, so will remember it next time.
It looks though we are waking up to rain tomorrow, it's coming right across the Country. See Mel, we are getting it also.
We had a nice beef stew today. Ros went to Tesc# and got loads of Veg. which she chopped up with stewing steak. It simmered all afternoon, and went down a treat with the "NOBBY" off a fresh loaf. I have just had some fresh bread and cheese with Bransto# and a couple of Beck# that she bought me today.
I just hope I sleep better tonight.
