Frank my OH has to put up with me cutting his hair......well what there is. :-D I keep telling him it is a 'no frills service' or the price will have to go up. lol. I'm sure he would love your hairdresser. ;-)
I was reading in the paper earlier about 2 teenagers who coaxed a young boy away from his mum in a supermarket half a mile away down the road from here. He is aged 11 but has a mental age of 7 and they made promises to him to entice him away and took him on a bus then told him they had lied!! A passenger was suspicious when the boy got upset and intervened and led him off the bus and to a police station. The police took him back to the supermarket where his distraught mum was thinking James Bulger!! The police say a crime wasn't committed because he went willingly, but I wonder how long it will be before they strike again.
I keep forgetting to go to a car boot Mandy......I bet OH will come if I do......for the bacon butties. lol. My wall pots need new plants, the old ones are on their last legs. Violas smell so lovely.
I wonder how many times Jane has rung home?
Off to bed now and to look for spiders on the ceiling, they have started coming in now the nights are chillier.

Morning everyone,Evening Kim,
Looks like its going to be another lovely day ,the sun is shining away .
I bet all the mums will be sighing with relief as the children go back to school today , Jake is starting a new school and Chelsea will soon be going for a full day, they gradually ease them in , she goes until lunch time for the rest of this week, then stays until just after lunch next week and then full time school the week after that .
Ann, what a lovely Castle , the grounds and gardens always look spotless , not a weed or piece of rubbish about , it must cost the earth to keep these places going
The cat looks as if he's saying keep away lol
Yes i was thinking i wonder if Jane has rung to see how things are at home , i bet she has!!
Don't mention spiders !! at the moment its those Daddy Long Legs that we have coming in, i have to remember to shut the windows ,it's the light going on that attracts them :-S
Just waiting for hubby to come home from a little job he has to finish off then we're off to Norwich to a place that makes new doors for Kitchen Units, we're thinking about having some made ,there's nothing wrong with the bases ,its just the kitchen doors look a bit dated now , another job for hubby in the spring !! :-D
We're having a Carvery so that will be nice , no cooking today :-D :-D
Enjoy the sun everyone, should be really hot at the week end !!

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Another lovely morning here.
Ann that was a late post for you yesterday or should I say this morning!!
I forgot to say I had a postcard from our Jane. She says:-
Hi Mel and All,
This is where we went on Sunday. The X in the front is where we sat and watched many seals bobbing about in the sea. Sunshine all the way so far.
Lindisfarne Castle yesterday and then an hour just chilling in the sand dunes, (Chris slept and snored!!) I read my Kindle. Off to Cragside today (Tues)
Are you missing me? :-) Love Jane. X
Ann I saw that woman paint her pigs trotter with pink nail vanish too. She was supposed to be one of those miniture pigs but was in fact a pop bellied pig. She lived like a queen did'nt she? Posh house and I noticed the chickens had a posh coop too.
Got loads done yesterday and am going to do lots today too if the sun stays out.
Hope Sheila is having a good time and I am sure she will have a good story or two when she gets home.
Off to load the washing machine yet again.

Morning and Evening All,
Lovely sunshine again. OH has gone for his interview and I'm off out side in a mo with the sticky stuff.
Yes it was late/early before I could get on here Mel. Even when OH had finished his notes he wanted me to QA them. That pig lived in the lap of luxury didn't it. It was obviously used to going in the shower. lol. It sounds like Jane is 'chilling' at last!!
Mandy the children have already gone back to school here.......so it has been much quieter in the shops! It is a really good idea to ease children in like that and get them used to longer hours gradually. OH was shown around a school yesterday and said there were some new starters there in their new blue jumpers. He said they all called him 'Sir'. I told him not to expect that at home! ;-) Hope you find some kitchen door designs you like, it will completely change the 'look' as you say without changing the good base units. We did the same with the utility cupboards. A nice carvery to follow too........perfect!! :-D
What a little tinker your uncle was Liz, filling and emptying the bath like that!! OH's 2nd cousin was a terror as a boy too. He hated having his coat on, whatever the weather, and would argue with his mum. They had a battle over it one morning and off he went to school in his coat at last. Later when she opened the front door, there was his coat hanging on the door knob.
It has been good sightseeing weather for Sheila too and good weather for sea crossings.
Tonight I'm going to a talk on FH and genetics being given by a professor at a local FH group about 14 miles away, not far from MIL. OH spotted it in the paper and it's 2 favourite subjects so I'm looking forward to it. It's being held in a church.

Morning everyone,
We are having a very early summer here. Temps. have been up around high 20s early 30s. It has been so windy so we are already having bushfires in two States. An historical house in the Southern Highlands was burnt to the ground, what a loss all that history gone. No lives lost thank goodness.
Pretty quiet here, I was able to wear a t-shirt today. Daughter is sick too, so it is VERY quiet, lol. Peace for a day or so.
I have been out in the garden doing some watering and pruning. Lots of birds around, Spring has definitely sprung, but we are due for some rain and cooler weather next week. So many spiders outside and in, I was covered in webs when I came inside. Had to give myself a good shake.
Sounds like Jane is having a nice break; certainly sounds lovely where she is. I hope Sheila is enjoying herself too.
Both cats at the vet this week. The white one for a good clipping - she has huge knots in her long coat and I can't get near her with a brush. The black one had another worm pill; she will be off colour for a few days yet. We won't talk about the EXPENSE!!
What's happened to the emoticons?? Are they gone for good?? :(
Have a good day everyone, hope the weather is nice where you are. Cheers for now. 8.18 pm AEST

Morning from a very sunny Blisworth.
Don't shout about it but we haven't seen a drop of wet stuff this week.
Glad Jane is having a nice time, I'm sure her and Chris. will be pleased with the rest. and the weather couldn't be better for travelling around.
You have to ask the question. What gets into these kids headfs to want to take a child away like that. I know they wouldn't do it twice if I got my hands on them. POOR MOTHER !!!
Ann, I have been buying loads of Jewellery stuff for Ros. She has so much stuff now, she has it in individual box's then they go into a VERY large Plastic container. She's sorting through them as I speak.
Harvey and family got home about 3.00am Wednesday morning, had a very good drive from southern France without any holdups. Spoke to Lewis last night, he was tired and a bit ars#y. WSe said go to bed and get a good nights sleep. He started his new BIG school this morning. They don't move at 11 anymore its 14. and he will be there till 16 but hopes to stay till 18 with 6th form
It's Lewis's birthday on the 25th Sept. We have bought him a remote controlled Helicopter. He will be able to go the the park and fly it. Hope he won't do it in his garden, wilh all the telephone wires around.
see you later

Kim it is warmer where you are than here at the moment. Enjoy the peace while it lasts! :-D I still have the emoticons but I see some others are saying they have gone to. Sounds like GR doing more twiddling with things. :-S
Frank I am still sorting my jewellery stuff and grouping different sizes/colours together and the clasps etc otherwise I will buying stuff I already have!!!!! It does kind of take over everywhere doesn't it! Mine is on 2 shelves in a bookcase. I even use old butter/spread tubs to put some things in. I am finishing off a necklace this afternoon to wear tonight. My word, doesn't master Lewis look grown up in his new uniform!! A handsome boy! I bet he will love the helicopter. By the way, is the netting working??
Well the waterfall looks a right mess now with all the cream coloured foam stuff bulging out everywhere. It says you can trim the surplus after 24 hours and that the colour will darken down in the sun.......I hope so!! I planted a few more things and put a few more slate pieces in place and have emptied the wall pots ready for new plants.
Pat, that trip to those kennels doesn't seem to have been good at all for Mocha. You have tried the easy things now so it is a good idea to let the vet look at him, poor little chap.
Better get my car tax paid on line now and do a bit more outside before I shower and go out. OH has a school meeting tonight. He said 'don't ask' about his interview when he came back at lunch time!! Considering it was for the same job as the other 2 he got, he said they asked some strange questions at this one!
I forgot about your mole Mel. I hope it doesn't stick around. The one we had caused havoc here, caused slabs to sink on the old patio and the paths. They tend to follow boundaries like the edge of a wall or fence or path. The young ones have probably been turfed out to find new territory about now. I'm just hoping the ones in the field where the houses are being built don't head this way.

Still a very warm afternoon here,
Ros has gone of to Tesc# B & # Wyevale Garden Centre. to return something, I bet she will return with more than she took back :-D :-D
Yes Ann, the jewellery does seem to take over the place. Madam now wants a table and draws in the conservatory, so she can do her neddlework and Jewellery. I said what about when the winter comes. I'll bring it into the lounge LOGIC OR WHAT ;-) ;-) ;-) I have been buying her lots of earing hooks in silver. She is going to replace all her earings with the new ones. The old ones are a bit tarnished.
Moles can certainly cause a ploblem in the garden. I had one in Barton seagrave when I first moved up here. I had all the lawn and flower beds laid out, when he decided to call !!! it started up and down the borders, then decided to crisscross the lawn. I managed to catch that little sod. What a job to kill !!! I then had some at Gayton, the ruined to lawns , had to get a mole catcher in. He caught THREE.
Going to see about a cup of tea now, so will see you all later.

Glad to hear that Jane's having a good time in the sand dunes !! ;-) LOL
I saw some thing today !! a man was riding a scooter on the path ,not wearing a helmet !! and pushing a baby's buggy, with a baby in it beside him !!! he was next to the hedge and the baby right beside the road ,he only had to wobble and go over and that baby would have been in the road !! what a stupid thing to do :-S Never a policeman about when you want one !! i would have reported him ,no problem.
Pat, hope you can find out the problem with Mocha , i would have said change his food ,but i see you say you've tried that .
Frank, doesn't Lewis look smart and all grown up in his school uniform ,i don't think he will have any problems getting a girl friend ;-) ;-)
Carvery was nice i had Turkey and hubby had the Pork. Got a brochure for the Kitchen doors , 69 designs and 49 colors to choose from :-S :-S might take me a while to go through that lot !!

They use to in years gone by David.
The first time I saw the young buzzard was outside the wall of our garden. I drove through the arch and she was there on the grass on the right hand side and I stopped the car and she jumped in the air with soemthing in her claw and then took off again and it was a mole!! So you could say I have my own mole catcher.

We are getting spoilt as we have another lovely sunny day here.
Last night there was a mist over the fields at the back and it was as still as anything. Then this morning I got up for a wee at 7.30am and it was still misty so thought I would go back for another half and hour. Oh was up as I could hear the telly on in the kitchen. Next thing I new the sun was shining in my face and it was 10.15am!!!!!!!! :-S

I can't be the first, Where are you all,
Another great morning, not a cloud in the sky. If it's like this where Jane is, she won't want to come home.
Mandy, Lewis is getting to that age, when you ask about girls, he clams up and goes all silly. Going by his FACEBOOK page. He has more girls than he can cope with. He rang last night (first day at new school) You couldn't stop him chattering about it. It appearts he likes everything he has seen so far.
Pat, Sorry Mocha is under the weather. Our poodles (when not well) were always feed on Chicken and Rice. Penny the oldest. got on better with that than anything else.
Ros bought me a present yesterday. A BIRD FEEDING STATION. Now I have to sort out the bits and assemble it. I have loads of feeders to hang on it, so will put it where I can watch the birds come and go.
Mandy, Why didn't you take his number and telephone the police. These people shouldn't be allowed children, you can imagine how they would be treated at home. With your evidence he would have lost his licence for 12 months, with a heavy fine.
I've been up most of the night visiting my "White Friend" dicky tummy from somewhere. (MUST BE MY COOKING) but Ros is fine. Taken some imodi### so hope that will give my tummy a rest.
Time for shower and shave, then shorts and and an easy day. If I can't do it now I never will. It's great being retired.

Had 40 pairs of "Shepherd hooks" for earings turn up this morning. Ros is busy taking off the cheap ones and replacing with the silver ones.
I have been sitting in my lounger on the lawn reading my book, I have got to hot so come in for a while to see what madam wants for dinner tonight. I will get that sorted, then go out again for an hour or so.
Mel, We do have bird baths around the garden, so perhaps I could use the water tray for bits of fat, and odds and ends.
