Morning All and Evening Kim,
Not nice here today as we have that horrid fine rain and grey skies. It was a lovely night too. When I went out in the garden quite late there was a moon with lots of long clouds passing over it and star in the north and west.
Hope Jane and Sheila arrived safely at their holiday destinations and are well rested now after the journeys.

Morning one and all, evening Kim,
Well I did the walk yesterday, all through the village, and onto the cycle/perdestrian walk way. It took us around the sailing club. We saw the RUTLAND BELLE and thought about taking a ride. Someother day when the Girls are with us. Very enjoyable, but I was knackered. When we got back to Conrad's I walked up the road and had a couple of pints. Very refreshing.!!!!
I looked up the RAGWORT on the web, didn't know it could do so much damage to health.
Quiet sort of morning here weather wise, had a few spots of rain earlier, now it's just overcast but very muggy. Don't know if I will be able to do the walk again today. ;-) ;-) ;-) The one to the PUB, I should be able to manage.
Hope everyone is well, don't do to much gardening, and Bugg## yourselves up. Trust the two, arrived saftley at their destinations, and they have a good rest.

Afternoon All..
Have been to my daughters in Hayling Island for a couple of days. We managed.. to leave after I finished work and didnt get caught up to much in the friday traffic. We were comming back tonight but my daughter in law has been over from France as her father is very poorly...She bought Max my grandson with her and she needed me to look after Max during hosp visits...so in the end he came with us to my daughters..The cousins had a great time and we managed the beach yesterday and the slot machine lol..At least they all won some keyrings out of the 2p machines.. My son was over from Paris for a meeting in Swindon on the friday so I managed to see them last night when I dropped him off at his other nans..
They are all on the flight back to Paris now...

Afternoon everyone,
Lovely day here nice warm sun shine ,just had a go at the Honeysuckle, what a job, it is so thick ,we have decided to just tie it back for now and when some of the leaves have gone off we will be able to see what we're doing , it goes along the wall for about 15ft and really needs all new trellis behind it ,it will all have to be dropped down to get the new trellis behind without breaking off the main stem, not a job i'am looking forward to doing.
Ann, hope you got the foam in place today to stop the ants , you must be getting there with the garden now , looking forward to seeing the results of all your hard work .
You'll be tired today Frank after all the walking you did yesterday, i see you had enough energy left to get to the pub though :-D :-D
Nice to spend time with the grandchildren Pat, just a few more days and they go back to school, i know DIL will be pleased to see them go back, they are now getting bored ,i think the summer holiday is to long .
Yes i see poor Max has gone , the song You're A Pink Toothbrush, I'm A Blue Toothbrush always comes to mind when i think of him!!
Hubby is watching the racing ,i see there was quite a crash !!!

Afternoon All,
No, what have you been doing to get so tired Mel? Ringing a 'big' bell?
Well, still not done the waterfall. :-( I had a crampy tummy last night and today, a bit like stitch under the ribs all the time and headachey. OH was like it last week so it is probably a bug. I see it should be fine weather the next few days, so I will get chance to do it in the week. A bit more to plant and rake the gravel back and we are nearly there. I want to put small stone circles with alpines in the middle where the rotary sockets are like we had before as OH has done nothing but trip over them all summer.......blind as a bat!!! :-S I ended up putting a flowerpot over one and he 'tidied it away' at first!! lol.
Great minds think alike Mandy.......struck me too that our Frank managed to get to the cold beers!! ;-) You did well with the walk Frank, I don't think I would have managed 3 miles without a rest.
We had to renew trellis behind a Honeysuckle years ago and the twigs do snap easily. I was worried about breaking the main stem so as we pulled it away we put a small wigwam of canes each side of it to support it and tie it to while we did it. It was only half the size of yours though and I think we had to cut quite a lot of the branches as we couldn't untwine them. Not a five minute job!
Pat, it sounds like you had a nice time with your grandchildren. Like you say, best to enjoy the weather while it lasts.
We are finally going to Grimsthorpe Castle tomorrow, over near Bourne. We have to make a really early start though as I have to be back for a hair appointment at 2.00pm.

I'm off to Tenerife next month. I was at my friends today when son phoned to say he was booking a holiday the next thing we, my friend and I are going with them, as long as the sun shines I shall be happy.
Well done Frank on your walk, a pub at the end is always a good incentive ;-)
Another one gone, Max Bygraves, such a lovely character, "I wanna tell you a story"

Just read your posts and yes pile cream is good on your face for your wrinkles. All the pop stars use it so I am told. My SIL used it a few years back and it certainly took her eye creases away. I have never had the cheek to go in and buy any..........................................

Morning all,
Anniversary of World War Two starting today, also my second eldest brothers Birthday, I think he would have been 100. Will check on my tree.
Didn't go for the walk yesterday. Sat in the garden or conservatory with my book. We had dinner about 3,30 pm and left for home about 6.30 pm. Very quiet on the roads, we did the journey in about an hour.
Planned to get my haircut today, but as it's nice Ros wants to get on with a bit more gardening. She is out tomorrow, with the sewing circle. So I might be lucky on Wednesday. If not I will get a ribbon :-D :-D :-D
Clear blue sky's here and very warm now the mist has burnt off. Might be a good day for the Lawns.
The Bloo#y cat has been at it again, 5 plants scatterted on the lawn when we got home last night. I have put down another lot of Moth balls, (poor little Moths) !!!!
Home you are feeling better this morning Mel. Take it easy, there's a good girl <3 <3 <3
The two girls seemed to have picked the right week to get away. Forcast is quite good for the week.
