Thanks for letting us know about Fiona Jane. It is good they found nothing, but must be puzzling for her not knowing the cause yet. Like Mandy I wonder if it is connected with that nasty fall.

I bet the carousel unit will be ok when they refit the plinth board, that should line things back up again. Soon you will be gone and not have to look at it all for a week. :-D The weekend forecast looks good so hopefully you will get some good weather.

Thanks for Ros's photos Frank......could just do with one of those cream scones....mmmmm.

Jane Report 30 Aug 2012 19:24

Where is this snake Mandy????? It's not Kims is it lol
Fiona says all is done with the extension .Her OH just needs to do the grouting (I think)
I don't think Neuralgia has been ruled out for her but it is still a wait and see what the MRI shows. Her CT scan was just same from the one she had when she had her fall(nothing showed)

I am doing a Fillet of Pork tonight with bits of Pancetta cubes and mushrooms. The pork has taken longer to cook than I expected.I think it is done now so resting in the top oven on a very low heat.I;m just roasting off some Red and Yellow peppers and then do some Charlotte Potatoes....I am absolutely starving.Tomorrow will be whatevers 'iffits' :-D.James and Jess have a nice selection of stuff in the freezer ,plus I will leave some money for them to get whatever else they need.I used to buy ready meals and leave them in the fridge .But I would often come home from holiday and find some not eaten so they ended up in the bin as they were out of date :-S
My dear old Chester is looking wiped out.I think he is finding all the noise from the fans and machines too much plus the fact everything else is not normal. Also he has seen the suitcases :-S :-S....Chris is actually doing his packing right now .I will do mine at some point tomorrow.I still can't get excited about going away and I know I will start getting stressed .Normally I can go and leave the house in a clean and uncluttered state, but this time it will just be a bl**dy mess :-S

Jane the snake is in Cambridge :-S it's a 17 ft Albino Python , white with yellow markings , it was on About Anglia.
I had to look away when it was on as i will have nightmares about it .

Jane Report 30 Aug 2012 21:32

Cambridge is far enough away for me not to be keeping an eye open for snakey Mandy :-D I can sleep safely in my bed tonight.
Talking of bed I think I am just about ready to go.

Good day on the buses then Ann :-S :-D Hookah Pipes are great.I tried one in Dubai.(think I may have sent pic of me having a puff on one)
Will say Night Night Now xx

Morning/Evening All
Just a quick one now as I want to do my last bits of ironing.I'm waiting for the man to come and do his survey(the one from the contractors that the Insurance Company use)
It is a beautiful sunny morning here but there was certainly a nip in the air first thing.
Sometime during the night a shelf fell of the wall in the downstairs loo.Smashed pots and Pot Pourri all over the place.I need to sweep it all up first before I start with the ironing.I'm surprised we never heard the crash!

No Kim for a while.Does anyone know if she is poorly?

Must get on BBL

Good morning world, it's a brand new day

A-move over boys, save a place for me
I'm gettin' so tired of the company
I'm gettin' black looks from the big white man
Gotta get away just as fast as I can

Down in Malabu where the livin' is so wild and free
If you wanna get happy then people come along with me
A-bee-bow-bow-buppa-bow-bow-bow

Good morning freedom
I gotta break away
Gotta break away
Gotta break away
Yeah, yeah

Good morning freedom
It's another day
It's another day
It's another day
Yeah, yeah
Good morning freedom

Yeah

A-bee-bow-bow-b-b-buppa-bow

All over the world it's the same old game
Official type livin' is the thing to blame
A-lovin' thy neighbour is a real live thing
There's only one way to get the people to sing

Down in Malabu where the livin' is so wild and free
If you wanna get happy then people come along with me
A-bee-bow-bow-buppa-bow-bow-bow

A-bee-bow-bow-bow-b-b-buppa-bow

Good morning Freedom,!!!

What a difference a day makes.!!! That's another one for you Mel.

Ros did a pile of ironing yesterday afternoon, a lot that she washed yesterday morning and got touch dried in that strong wind. before the rain came. As it needed airing, she put it round the radiators, and I put the heating on for a while.

When we got up the morning the heating had come on earlier, so it must have turned very chilly, for that to happen, Anyway the washing is all aired now, and put away.

Heard from Kim, re Ros's photo's. She never mentioned not feeling unwell. !!!! I have replied to her.

Things that go BUMB it the night Jane, have you got a GHOAST ???? Hope the survey is O.K. and they can give you a start day, so you can get back to normal as soon as possible.

Glad things are improving for Fiona, Come on my love. It looks like we could get an Indian Summer, get out and sit in the garden and get your strengh back. Look forward to having you back.

Ros is at the Doctors at 3.15 this afternoon, then we will be off to Rutland. Look out Ann, I'm in your patch.

Hello everyone,

Just popping in quickly. I have been under the weather after a long trip to my doctor the other day plus more dramas with my daughter. It drags me down and any progress I make is lost.

I just wanted to wish Jane and Sheila a happy and safe holiday from tomorrow. Hope you are all packed and organised and that Chris winds down and enjoys himself Jane. Same for Sheila and her hubby.

We have had sunny days here, but it is raining tonight. Thank you to everyone for your photos. I hope everyone is well and in one piece - backs, knees, etc.

Cheers for now. 9.21 pm AEST

Good one Frank!! :-D

Had another email from Kim to say she can now see the green man.

Clouds keep coming over here and then the sun comes out again.

For Frank:-

What a difference a day made, twenty four little hours
Brought the sun and the flowers where there use to be rain
My yesterday was blue dear
Today I'm a part of you dear
My lonely nights are through dear
Since you said you were mine
Oh, what a difference a day made
There's a rainbow before me
Skies above can't be stormy since that moment of bliss
That thrilling kiss
It's heaven when you find romance on your menu
What a difference a day made
And the difference is you, is you

My yesterday was blue dear
Still I'm a part of you dear
My lonely nights are through dear
Since you said you were mine
Oh, what a difference a day made
There's a rainbow before me
Skies above can't be stormy since that moment of bliss
That thrilling kiss
It's heaven when you find romance on your menu
What a difference a day made
And the difference is you, is you, is you

Well, here we are and I am still sitting around in my dressing gown.
Ros is all showered and hair done, dressed and ready for the Drs.

I have been watching the Paraolympics, and can't seem to get away from it.
These people are just amazing, how can we complain about our ailments, when you see how they have overcome theirs. Swimmers with no ARMS some with no LEGS. Cyclists with no lover limbs but go round the track as fast a full bodied people. I get to almost crying at their abbility

Afternoon All,

Well I'm here 'Lazing on this sunny afternoon' !! lol. Perhaps Jane is singing 'Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye' as she packs her bikini!!! Yes, the bus was quite an experience Jane, OH was talking about it again this morning.

Frank, I was only saying to OH this morning that we must get across to go and see Grimsthorpe Castle near Stamford, not too far from Conrad. I'll be keeping my my eye out for you anyway......on MY patch!!!! ;-) ;-) :-D :-D LOL. It would be nice out on Rutland Water on the Rutland Belle today. I agree with you about the Paralympics.......that Oscar Pictorius (Bladerunner) has such a brilliant physique. I watched a very good programme about him recently. It is very humbling to see what they have overcome to be so good.

Oh Kim, you must be at your wit's end with your daughter.....does she listen any better to her dad? It is such a shame it keeps making you ill. She is so lucky she isn't one of those poor child carers that have to give up all their time caring for a parent or helping with a sick sibling. I do feel for you. :-S <3

Mandy it really does worry me that so many people have these snakes and other reptiles and how many manage to escape. If it can manage a rabbit, what might it do to a baby!! :-0 :-0 I watched a programme about London wildlife the other night and one of the ponds there had those red snapping turtles that can slice a finger off with their jaws. They reckonned there were over a 100 in there, let loose from the 'Ninja Turtle period' and now dinner plate size!

I have been to Loughborough this morning with OH as he had a meeting there. The organiser gave them the wrong time for the meeting (it was half an hour later)and the map sent was so basic it wasn't much more use than an 'x' on a blank piece of paper! Still, we found the place and then I went round the shops, including the bead shop. I got some bits there and a nice grey cardigan from T K M*xx (given up on a blue one). Now OH has gone to a footie match at Hinckley.

Better load the washing machine now and get a cuppa.

Evening everyone,

What a lovely day ,really warm outside ,but very chilly last night !!

What ever brought the shelf done like that Jane, do you think it might have been all the vibrations from the men doing the floor?

Oh dear Kim sorry to hear your low again , not more trouble with your daughter !! she must be able to see what its doing to you when she behaves like that naughty girl!!

Ann, i don't know what i would do if i knew the neighbours were keeping Reptiles :-S :-S :-S i just don't like any of the creeping things :-S :-S
When do your classes start again ?, i love seeing the things you make .

Jane ,just in case i don't get back on here tonight ,i hope you have a lovely restful holiday ,forget all about the house ,it will still be there when you get back ,hope the weathers good for you and don't forget your camera :-) safe journey <3

You too Sheila, hope the sea's nice and calm for the crossing , just enjoy the rest.

Ooh I have been a busy bee today. The man came to do the survey of all work needing doing was a lovely chap .He was here for about an hour and a half measuring, taking photos etc.I did plead with him about getting our floor tiles lifted asap.He said it may take time for him to forward the survey and get the go ahead from the insurance people.Anyway an hour after he left he rang to say some one will be here 8.30 tuesday morning to lift all the tiles :-D :-D :-D.I'm a happy bunny....James is not such a happy bunny as it will be him who will have to be up and be here for all the noise and mess lol..Also I think he may have to ask my neighbour to have Chester again while all the noisy stuff is going on.

Kim I'm sorry you are feeling low again.I'm sure it does take it's toll on you with all the Hoo Ha with your daughter.
I am a little stressed out with all the mess here and going away leaving a mess.I like to leave things tidy !!!.

Yes I will chill as soon as I have Chester settled with my neighbour and we are on the road :-D
I just need to write a list for James tonight re all the dehumidifiers and fans and make sure he keeps them switched on.

I bet Sheila is all ready for the off tomorrow :-D Have a great time Sheila.
I need to go and sort something for dinner now .Pasta and sauce with garlic bread.
Chris is just doing a quick mowing of the lawn.

Yes, there's quite an autumn feel about the evenings now. I saw Xmas cards yesterday!! Classes start the last week of this month Mandy. I have started to wonder what we will be making this time! I've no idea what to turn up with so it will have to be a bit of an assortment I think. I imagine there will be some new people too.

Jane, I hope you manage to enjoy your holiday and that you can both recharge your batteries and come back refreshed. I don't know if you managed to join the National Trust yet, but if there was an opportunity and you fancied it, this place is well worth a visit and only about 12 miles from Alnwick. I went there a few years ago while OH went to a match at Blyth. It is a fascinating place, was the home of an inventor and was the first house in the world to be lit by hydro-electricity. It is a real timewarp and is just as if someone walked out and never came back. There is even cutlery in the drawers in the kitchen. We were hoping to stop off there if we went away as OH would love to see it now. (we saw a TV programme about the man, Armstrong). The grounds are massive and part forested and I didn't get to see all there is when I went.

http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/cragside/

I hope you have a good time too Sheila, even if your smiles have to be a bit tight lipped!! Ireland sounds my sort of place, not too busy and lovely scenery.
