Morning All,
Change of plan!! My sister has been ill with some new antibiotics for her MRSA since yesterday and just doesn't feel well enough for a day out. She is going back to her doctor instead to see if there is something else she can try!! (already tried about 4 different antibiotics) Not like her to miss some retail therapy so she must be feeling grim. I think I will post the necklace to her instead.....might cheer her up a bit. I had cancelled my haircut for today, so rang to see if the appointment I had was still available.....no! :-S so I will be thinking of you chilling in the chair today having your hair done Jane!!
Not sure what to do next now :-S OH is 'gold panning' again, but after yesterday's session my back is a bit twingy and my gardening clothes are pegged out on the rotary now!!
A few jabs seem to have sorted the cistern ........well for now at least, but I don't trust it now.
Nice to hear from you William and look forward to some posts from your NEW computer. :-D
Jane/Mandy what awful holidays........I'm sure it would have put me off going again!
Chris is good to put the time in to prepare well for appraisals. There can be a lot of work to do to prepare properly. It reminded me of a little 'book' I kept to note things down through the year that I would put in appraisals. Funny how something said triggers a memory.
I just said to OH that I might get some poached eggs on toast soon........a big THUMBS UP!! We'll be having something with beans later on as there are runners ready at last. :-D

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Dry today at the moment and sunnyish.
Ann sorry to hear that your sister is feeling any better on the new meds. I do hope they sort her out soon. That will be about five lots they have tried her with, won't it? She will like to receive the neckless by post and will it be a surprize?
Nothing planned for today as far as I know so will just get on with some ironing and gardening as there is always plenty of that to do.
Hope William gets that new pooter up and running soon and has time to get back to us and post. Love to Carmel too Wiliam.

Morning/Evening All
I feel very sorry for your Sister Ann.I hope they get the right antibiotic for her this time. She will get a lovely surprise if you post the jewelry to her :-D Look after that twingy back of yours today ,just a gentle pottering sounds the job. I love Poached Eggs .I now want one :-D :-D
Mel I wonder ..will you actually get your ironing done today :-D. I think some of our tomato plants are Alicante. We have several different ones and I'm never sure which is which as the tickets have gone. I picked some nice tender Runners just now and some Bartolli Beans too. I like to do Runners with garlic, onion, and tomato in olive oil and have it cold.James is a lover of that too.I'm not sure that Chris is a fan though.
Right coffee time I think.

Morning/eving all.
Nice morning here, sunshine and a bit windy.
Ros has gone off with Carolyn to have their nails done, and do a bit of shopping.
I've beed left to go to the Drs. to pick up perscriptions. TWO bags full as usual.
Glad to see you around again William, I trust you are both keeping well. This MRSA is a begger to treat isn't it ??? Ann, What a bummer, about your sister. not being able to meet up today. Try not to worry, and have a relaxing day. Jane, Try a quote from the Insurance Company man, At least you can see how it compares, and if the job isn't up to scratch, you will have the backing of the Ins. Co. We have an excellent chap in the village, I don't know if he would travel that far. I'll find his name and Number, then you can TRY.

I had a wonderful hair wash .All the young girls were busy so Nigel the boss did mine. That was a real treat :-D then he did the cut ,so I had him all to myself .His eldest daughter had her GCSE results today and did very well so he was a proud Dad.
I think if feels quite close tonight and there is not a breath of wind. All doors and windows open .Chris is mowing the lawn AGAIN.I know he loves the garden but am sure he would be quite happy to have less lawn ,unless he had a sit on mower.Don't think he will getting one of those lol
I heard this afternoon that it appears the body of the little boy who was washed out to sea had been found.I am sure that his parents must be so relieved as they will be able to say goodbye to their son with a funeral. The thought of him never being found must have been just impossible .There will be one big funeral here :-(
Chicken for dinner with new potatoes with a mint and oil drizzle(comes in a pack from Tes**).Baby Carrots and Runners..If we have pudding it is New York Cheesecake.I don't often have pud but Chris does like it. I think it could very well be an early night .I couldn't go back to sleep properly after the alarm going off at 4.I just kept dozing off and having the weirdest dreams :-S

I posted the jewellery to my sister and she doesn't know about it so it will be a surprise. I feel sorry for her with all these health problems. She has to use a walker now with her arthritis. She's 9 years younger than me so it makes me realise my dodgy knees are princely compared with her problems.
Jane I like the sound of your cold bean mix and might try it........do you have it on its own?
I decided to help OH with the riddling for a while after all. I got one of our old garden seats out on the gravel to sit on to help my back, humper of water to my right and empty humper to my left, seive in hand. I felt like one of those film directors sitting there. OH carried on after I popped out to the post office and did a few errands and by the time I got home he was walking like a letter 'C' and holding his back., but had made great strides. :-S If the rain holds off a bit in the morning we might just about finish it. OH had a meeting to do with his latest job at Melton tomorrow, but they cancelled it this morning......seems to have been a week of cancellations!! lol.
My recording of WDYTYA failed so I will have to watch it on the computer.
Shirl, those monsters keep you busy don't they! How nice your friend was able to call in. Off on a cruise to Alaska at 80......she puts me to shame!!

In 1994 I weighed 12 stone dressed. I was a wiry person and a cigarette smoker. Later in 1994 I had a serious RTA pelvic fractures etc. I was crippled for many months but resumed walking. I quit the cigarette habit. I never became as physically fit as I had been. The years passed and for the last 2 years I have been 15 stone.
Would 18 years relatively inactive since 1994 and without cigarettes have brought me to my natural body weight as a non smoker or am I over weight?

David, you sound fine at that weight.I take it you are not 4 foot nothing! As we all know inactivity puts weight on so that must have had some effect.I wouldn't worry though. The fact you came through your terrible accident is the main thing.A broken pelvis (I think you had) can be fatal because of the blood loss.So you have done well :-D :-D
Ann that cold bean dish I love to eat on its own ,but it's nice with something like cold meats ,couscous ,anything really.I just love it.I first had it when I worked in Greece.Fitz says his OH makes it and it is a Lebanese dish.Called LOUBIEH BI ZAYT (Green beans in Olive oil). I googled the proper recipe.
I really enjoyed last nights WDYTYA.Worth seeing Ann.
Hi Shirl ,how nice to see your old friend. Is she doing the Whale Watch Cruise? My cousins who live in BC did that and said it was a brilliant trip. Must dish up dindins now .

I'm five feet ten inches Jane.
I haven't been idle, just not as active as I once was.
The main thing that I'm told causes every one to gain weight is stopping smoking.

David thats because your food does you good without the tar and nicotine in your blood. I put on a stone when I first gave up for ten years and then I started again. Have given it up a few times since then but still smoke today, unfortunately :-( :-( :-( :-(
Done some ironing but then had to get lunch and forgot about it after and went up the tunnel.
Had raost leg of lamb joint tonight with roast teddies, roast onion and cauliflower cheese. yummy :-D :-D :-D
One of my bay fish died in the night and it was quite a big one !!
Shirl a nice surprise your friend calling like that. Have you finished with the eye injections now??
