Afternoon all, Evening Kim,
Come in for a break, Have been in the garden since 9.30 am. Shorts of course and my old slippers, Washed and scrubed the bins, mowed back lawn. Ros is doing a bit of weeding at the moment. Then I will do front lawn.and trim round the lawns. Everywhere seems to need a good watering, pots and hanging baskets are quite dry.
Picked some broad beans this morning, all pods full, and look good. Ros has podded them, ready for dinner tonight. I don't eat them so she#s got a good helping.
Mandy Don't worry, We can allways get a beach hut at Yarmouth for a HOLIDAY. Bucket and spades at the ready girls.!!!!! What a bummer having a leak, when you can't find it.
Jane How are the couple doing with their marriage, ??? Wern't thney going through a sticky patch ???
I think everyonre will be outside today, enjoying the "SUMMER"
Runner beans are about inch and half long now. By the time they are large enouth to pick, it will be mid winter. !!!

Afternoon everyone,
Hot ,Hot, Hot, here just came in for some lunch, hubby decided he would have the day off, we have been fiddling with that spa :-S :-S
Do you think we can find the blessed leak....no , felt like using a few choice words but as a ladieeee i thought better of it !!
So we have decided to get the other liner that we used before ,we know that one had a slow leak too but at least we know where the leak is on that one ,and we can use it ,we just need to keep pumping it up now and again. We thought we might try a patch and use super glue , we have the spare lid that we can try it on first incase the glue eats into the plastic :-S :-S
Yes Frank ,Yarmouth will do me......stick of Rock and a Kiss me Quick hat and we're well away !!LOL :-D oh and don't forget the old Primus stove so we can have a nice cuppa :-D
Got to tackle Tes*o's in a while need more salad stuff, this weather its all you want ,might do Jacket pots tonight like you Ann
Don't forget your sun lotion Pat ,soon get like a beetroot with this hot sun !! :-D

ah Pat.I bet you weren't the only one wiping away those tears. We are all the same I think.I hope you had your tissues handy.Glad you enjoyed the evening.
I'm jealous Mandy.I want a spa thingy.Chris won't have one :-S :-S.But I did by a little paddling pool this morning for Ethan .(and me .....and Chester) :-D :-D Frank I don't ever see them not having problems.Although I think at the moment things are ok.She is 21 weeks pregnant!
I have 2 fans on down here and all the curtains are drawn. It is too hot for me ,and its getting hotter :-D :-S.I keep telling myself I mustn't grumble as it won't last long. The alarm chap didn't arrive as the van has broken down. This is the 3rd time now they have had to cancel.I don't mind as It is not like I have taken time off work to be here. The poor woman who rang was so apologetic. She said it will probably be the Plague next time lolol. Still waiting for this estimate etc from these plumbing people.Have been on the phone again today and the promised it would be emailed TODAY.No sign of it yet :-S.Hope I have given the right email address :-S :-S.I'm not impressed. It makes me wonder how good they will be at actually doing the job (if we ever get around to it) If anyone is looking in now please can you send me a test email (just to make sure things are getting through this afternoon). I got Franks email this morning. Must sort James 's dinner now as he will be off to work at 6

Hi Frank I bet you remember Tunisia then some experience.
Amanda you have not seen my legs Beryls are ok she is like a skeleton Today she came down to see me from Cassies and I had a visit from my nephew Andy and family he is here for the olympics from Australia and we all sat in the garden.
Talking nicely about the past there is this bang and madame Beryl decided we were too envolved in the conversation to talk to her so she banged a metal tray with another tray and scared us half to death. Then she swept up to Andy and gave him a kiss on his cheek leaving a big lipstick mark on his face she went to kiss his mate but he decided he needed the loo urgently.
I do have a pair of shorts one day forgot I had them on and went walking up to the shops April was up the shop buying comic books and she came up to me and said Nannie you look funny in those shorts. Jane last year Beryl got her bikini top cord stuck to Donnies metal bits and he pulled it off when he moved. lol oh that was funny. thanks for remembering
April was in trouble again over the week end she was doing oil and water colouring she was dipping her card into the water swooshed to much and the water went all over poor Mat who was sat on the floor .His hair and tee shirt turned a mixture of colour When saying her prayers at night she ended it with bless Mat his hair is pretty with green blue and red in it.mum can stand pin him him to the wall he will make a nice picture
How cute having a spa Mandy. Would love a day out at the sea sand candy floss and to build some sand castles. Going in now its still hot there is no sun in our house .

Had an ECG today.Having a chest X ray later in the week.
Must wait to see Doctor to get results of both.
Still waiting for the result of the Oral examination at the Dental Hospital.
You'd think in 2012 communication would be a bit quicker?

Sheila ,I hope your Nephew and family enjoy their stay here for the Olympics :-D April sounds so funny.I can't imagine then staying cross with her for very long.
I have filled the paddling pool now.Hopefully it will warm up by tomorrow afternoon for Ethan.Knowing his Mum she will still say it is too cold for him :-S.I think she wraps him a bit in cotton wool lol.Chester already jumped in it when I was filling it with the hose.He just loves playing with water :-D
I have that Normandy Pork cooking now.I won't add the creme fraiche and mustard until tomorrow eve.But I'm a bit worried that it won't be cool enough tonight for me to stick it in the fridge. It is going to take a good few hours to cool right off. Will it be alright overnight if I leave it in the garage (which will be the coolest place)?I don't want to give anyone a tummy upsets :-S

Jane ours come every month too but I have been thinking they don't need cleaning that often. We have 7 windows, 2 doors, a patio door and the conservatory which is quite big and they charge £8 for that which iseems quite reasonable. I think bungalows would be cheaper anyway with no upstairs and ladders needed.
We didn't do anymore in the garden today.......far too hot......also we ran out of pegs for the hose. I went and got some more pegs ......we use metal tent pegs for the soaker hose which work very well. Mel, I also saw some groundsheet pegs that would do for the fabric and they were cheaper than the proper ones. I often can't find things I have put in a safe place when I need them. It is really annoying!! What a palava getting home though as they have closed some of the road at the end of the close which means going an extra 2-3 miles to come home from the other way. It says it will be closed for 10 weeks as well!! :-S Then I went to another garden centre where they have started a lot of house building nearby and that road was closed as well!! :-S I had to go miles over roads with loads of humps on to work my way around that one! I got myself a nice fruit pastille lolly there! :-D
I can just picture that chap making his excuses as Beryl homed in on him with lips all puckered ready Sheila!! lol. How old is baby Mat now? April seems quite unfazed by the move to America.......she seems a happy and adaptable little girl.
Frank, we have had to water some things that were wilting today......amazing how quick they dry out.
Think we'll be off to bed early tonight......both done in!! We want to be up very early tomorrow so we can be done outside well before it gets hot.

Oh I must tell you this! OH has a daily tablet for acid reflux and they have started putting the day on each tablet which is useful. Anyway, he was really flummoxed this morning and came in chuckling as he had thought today's had 'NOW' printed on it. Turns out he had it upside down....'MON'. lol.
I hope all your results are fine David. Yes, as we advance things seem to get slower so to speak!
OH has his nerve test appointment through for the end of the month. It says his fingers may twitch with some of the tests.......he's hoping he doesn't make any rude gestures!!! ;-)
It sounds like Ethan might not get too much of a look in with Chester in the pool Jane! Must be the Springer in him. :-D

Went shopping and got back about 5.15pm. Bought three more hostas and two geraniums in Mo**isons. Hostas are only one shoot but they should get better next year and they were only two for £3 and the geraniums were a £1 each. One is Vancova which I like for it's leaves and I put it in the top of my blue urn pot oh bought me years ago. The other has green and white leaves and nice pink flowers. Can't think of the name of that one but I had it years ago and it is a good dooer.
Ann I ususally find the pegs when looking for something else. I did buy some metal pegs you could use on the soaker hose that were not too expensive.
Lasagne for dinner tonight with salad and garlic bread if I can stand the oven on. Doing the other in the microwave as it only takes 11 mins in all.

Evening all,
Jobs all finished for today, just finished watering the front garden pots and hanging baskets. Tomatoe's arn't doing great, very small and very green. Ros has cut back some of the leaves to help with the sun getting to them. The broad beans were great tonight, even I had a few.
Ann would you say the tablet was a MAN thing ???
Found an old Victorian fire front in the back of the garage this morning, i'll clean it up and put it on Ebay. Start with a silly opener, and see what happens.
Jane, did you get my Email

Frank you have been busy today. It is surprising what you can get done when the sun shines. I need to clean my windows in the kitchen as the sun shows up all the dirt which is mainly outside from all the rain and wind we have had.
Nice moon tonight and there are a lot of gnats around tonight here.
Night night all see you in the morning.xxxxx <3 to all.

Morning snoozers,
So your summer has arrived at least, bl**dy marvellous and just in time for the Games.
Jane you asked about the jumpers, a lot in our shops are made in C**na so come apart at seams and not well made or very warm. The ones from the U.K. are well made and very warm - excellent quality. We ordered some last year too and people comment on how lovely they are. I hope James had a great time in Malta.
Enjoy your visitors when they arrive. I wondered how things were, but they must be doing "it" right if there's another bub on the way. ;-) I do wish they can keep it together for their own sakes as well as Ethan and the one on the way. Maybe these little breaks back home help a bit. Jane if you can take a pic of Chester in the pool, would love to see that.
Frank we send our best fleece overseas, as a matter of fact we send our best everything over to various countries and import a lot of rubbish. Just to see something labelled from the U.K. is a thrill for me. We get our tea towels and tablecloths from India and they are very good quality. Not much local industry left sadly or bought out by other countries mainly U.S. and China.
Sheila it must be lovely to have your nephew visiting. I hope he enjoys the Olympics and I can just imagine the other young fellow dodging those smooches. April is such a character, as I said she will be on the stage one day. Is she still friends with Herman? Sherman??
Joy is keeping a low profile although she was out at the letterbox and collecting the paper yesterday without a stick. Grrrr she's pushing it :-|
Pat and Mandy I loved the photos you sent.
Pat what a proud moment for you seeing your granddaughter on stage. I remember watching my kids in concerts and the tears would come.
On a sad note one of my daughter's friends has been missing for about 5 days and we have just heard that he's committed suicide in the bush halfway between here and Sydney. He was found today. He had been here before about 6 weeks ago when she had her small gathering. He was suffering from depression, but had studies for the next 2 years mapped out. I can't believe it. Makes you feel sick and gutted inside. Makes you wonder what pushed him over the edge. His poor family and close friends, what they must be going through.
I might have a cuppa now. 3.00 pm AEST

Morning All and evening Kim.
Beautifull again this morning once again. Oh has been up for hours. Do'nt know what h e has been up to yet as I have only been out on the decking to give him a coffee. He is probably planning something. I hope it is not too strenuous ? as I ache in lots of parts today from shopping yesterday and pushing the blimmin trolly in small heels.
Kim don't you just feel for the parents. You think you are bringin g them up the right way but nothing seems good enough for a lot of the teenagers nowadays. So sad.............
Took a couple of pics of the pond but hav'nt downloaded them yet to see if they have come out or not.
Better do it now..........................

Evening Kim and Morning All
Kim that is so sad about your daughters friend :-(,My nephews best friend did the same aged17.He hung himself from a tree.It took my Nephew a very long time to get over it,and in fact had to delay starting Uni for a year.I feel for his family and friends, and hope your girl will be ok.
Don't know about a pic of Chester in the pool .It might be me :-D :-D :-D.I'm sweating already .I'm just going to flick a duster and move anything dangerous or breakable out of reach from baby hands. I Just noticed my neighbours car in her drive (she has been away) and I knocked on the door to see if the bag of toys I borrowed last time for Ethan were still at hand.Thankfully they were so he will have toys to play with. :-D I need a cold drink now so will be back a little later.

Oh dear Kim, what a dreadful thing, whatever can have been going through that poor young man's mind to drive him to to suicide? It's just so sad to think that he must have believed that his life simply wasn't worth living any more; why he felt like that of course no one will ever know. His poor parents, you would always wonder if it was something you said or did - very very tragic. Lovely day here, so not doing too much!! Must brush Millie and maybe wash her ears! apart from that, laziness is the order of the day!
