After Sunnynoon Everyone,

Mel, we got the hose in by 11.00am. I have to watch OH, he takes short cuts if he thinks I'm not looking so I made him redig a couple of channels. I will be able to connect some of these to our water butts I think as the hoses are lower than them. I am hoping to do something similar in the greenhouse for next year as there are 2 water butts behind it. Then the greenhouse will look after itself for water when we go away. :-D I can imagine how it would be a boon in your tunnel too.

Frank, that's a great offer......start saving your pennies. As Jane and Mandy have taken charge of your case and flipflops I think I will have to look after your wallet for you!!!! :-D lol. I'm sure OH would recommend it!! lol. Mind you Ros has probably already got that sorted!!

We have been out for lunch, got some extra salad stuff in and fetched some weed fabric pegs from the garden centre......expensive!! Then we went in the W*rks and OH got some plastic envelopes for his work stuff (buy 2 get 1 free).

Just lazing now till it gets cooler, then I might start planting some alpines.

Mandy, you must be looking forward to your spa..........I bet the little ones will be too. Little Lacey looks quite a lot like Katie as a baby doesn't she.

Ann What are Weed Fabric Pegs ?never heard of them before.
Frank will be so pleased to see all us gals willing to help and go on holiday with him :-D :-D.He might have his whole Harem ;-)Now that would be a sight to see lol

They are plastic pegs with big flat oval or round tops Jane. You roll out your weed control fabric and hammer them in along the edges so it doesn't pull up. Then you put the gravel on top. Ours will be the pathways. Putting the fabric down stops the gravel mixing with the soil underneath as well, so it could be lawn or flower beds again if someone wanted to change things. in future.

Off to get some salad with cold chicken now........quite hungry! We have some nice black cherries for afters.

Well ,well done GB for winning the Tour de France......Have put my little flags back up in the porch window lolol.I will leave them now for the Olympics :-D :-DI must support us somehow ,and flags it is ....Chris says I'm 'barking' ...how rude :-S.I get fed up with everyone being miserable old Bug**** about the Olympics.It's time we all celebrated it being held here and put all our thoughts into wishing our entrants in the games 'All the best'.Best of British Luck :-D

Jane, Stay where you are, I agree with you, ALLWAYS PUTTING GREAT BRITAIN DOWN. Stuff the lot of them. Wait till we put on a great OLYMPICS then they can eat their words.

No girls, you can't come with us. It's purely a dream for us, the fares would be somewhere around £1,500.00 then food and entertainment. My pension will not run to that. I suppose I could Mortgage up the bungalow, and leave the kids with nothing. !!!!

What a great day it has been. I have lazed around and rested all day. Ros had a lot of trouble with the sun driving home. Plus the screen inside needs cleaning. (HER JOB) :-D :-D :-D

Shelia, We went to an Iseland off the coast of SFAX called Kerkener Iseland. Very hot and only two hotels, No real entertainment, and no spirits in the bar. We went by ferry, which was loaded with GOATS AND SHI# and had to sit on our cases. I wouldn't want to try it again, but was an experience.

Oh heck Frank, i'd got my case open on the bed ready to pack :-(

Oh Mandy, good job it didn't deflate in the middle while you were in it though! :-S :-D I suppose it will need a little patch once you find the hole. Yes, Frank better hang on, you don't want him going in head first with the edge deflating!!

Well that's me ......a right miserable 'B' ! :-( lol. I just can't get excited about things like the Olympics or World Cup. What it will cost us all and then the fraud and security issues. I wouldn't have gone if you'd given me tickets. I shall watch some things though like the gymnastics but OH will watch a lot more!!

At least Beryl wasn't causing mayhem while she was asleep and sunning herself in her bikini Sheila! lol. Lucky she can still slip into one! ;-)

I'm hot already.Chester is flaked out on the floor and he only had a little walk.He seemed to be falling over his feet today :-S :-S

Window cleaner here at the moment.I have just asked him to do the inside of the huge window on the stairs and the massive wall mirror .I just can't reach either and I am not going to be climbing the ladder.
Our visitors are here tomorrow from Dubai so I need to go and get some food.I have to think what to cook.It won't be roast or anything like that as it will be far too hot .But I just can't get my head round a shopping list at the moment.I think a coffee will help :-D

I know just how Chester feels Jane, it could have been me when I came in for this cuppa and a break! We have half the bottom hose in now and have dug up a shrub that had grown through it's pot and put strong roots down in the soil. We had a heck of a job cutting the plastic pot from the roots. At last it is planted now and in it's proper place. I have given it a soak and hope it survives.....very pretty and covered in bright red berries and yellow flowers at the moment.

While I was outside in my grubby gardening gear our window cleaner came too. I stayed up the garden out of the way till they'd gone. One more stint to finish the hose and that will be it out there for today jobwise.

I googled dad's name last night and got quite a shock.........the 3 patents he took out in the 60s and 70s are on-line now but they weren't a couple of years ago!!! You just never know what will turn up doing FH do you. :-D

Jane is the whole family coming from Dubai? You are good doing all the cooking you do for folk and it's not just that its the planning and shopping too. I think it will be a jacket with salad for us today.

How often does your window cleaner call Ann? I stopped ours coming each month and now it is every 2 months.I wasn't prepared to shell out £25 per month just fro the flipping windows lol.Must say they do look nice now.
Yes it is all the family coming.They will get here about lunch time tomorrow and then leave for Essex on Thursday as they are going there for a wedding.
I won't be making anything special food wise .I have some nice chicken breast things with some kind of filling .I think that will be with Pot wedges and my tray roast veg.Then I will do my Normandy Pork .That always seems to go down well and I don't think they have had that when they have been here.They are easy to please so I'm happy :-D :-D

Been out in the garden as oh is planting around the pond then came in and did some dashing away with the smoothing iron on his shirts I took offf the line as I did'nt waant them to get too dry.

Mandy what a bu**er that the spa keeps deflateing and it can be hard to find the leak and then it is usually on a seem just to make life harder.

Our oil should come today. I may go shopping in a bit as I want to get back to the garden today if poss.

Ann I have a load of those pegs somewhere and wanted to use them in the tunnel but do you think I can find them???????? I use them on polythene too and wanted to put them on the path up the tunnel as the wind blows in and the paths are covered with polythene and it gets everywhere.
