Crumbs Mel where is this pond going to go? Kim do you get a better selection or quality woollens from the UK ?.I hope Joel feels better soon ad the chest infection clears up.No wonder he is not a 'happy camper' :-S :-S
I bet Frank is stretched out in a chair in his shorts and bare chest ;-).Mind you it is not as sunny as I had expected. But mustn't complain,it is still very nice.
My car felt really hot earlier Mandy.Thank heavens for the aircon :-D
Kim If there are plenty of people popping in to Joy hopefully she won't have chance to get into trouble :-D
I must dash to post a card.I don't want to miss the last post.It is the 1st wedding anniversary for Mark and Kate whose wedding we went to last year in Cambridge. That is another year that has flown by.

Hi all,
Had a very lazy day so far. After the girls went off, I got showered and shaved, and put my horts on. I have been sitting on the decking bu the pond all day. Had a couple of beers, and rerading.
Mandy thaks for Email, I have put it on favourites so Ros can look at it when she's ready. THANKS.
Kim, glad your neighbour is able to stay at home, care and attention seems the order of the day. I wouild have thought with all the wool in Australia, you would be able to buy your woolies there, rather than import them !!!
Mel, The way OH is going you will have more ponds than gerdens. Where will the chickens go. You must get some ducks !!!
Going to watch a bit of GOLF. BBL

Nice to see you are just chilling today Frank and not getting into any mischief ;-)

The girls are not back yet. Bet they ended up in Milton Keynes (SHOPPING)
Shirl, It is hot out there. 40 degrees, We had that in Tunisia a few years back, too hot to enjoy. The Jokes come mainly from an old school friend but some from Australia, again from an old friend a local girl I knew from school. Shows you the type of friends I have !!!!!
Jane, I have been good HONEST. We have come indoors now, and it's a lot cooler. I had to go and put some trousers on. Conrads neighbour has 4 rabbits in his garden, on is sitting on Conrad's front lawn having a nibble at the grass. Not a care in the world. He's just about the right size for the POT.

Been gardening all afternoon after ringing for the wedding. I worked on the border dead heading and cutting down the lupins. Oh got the split in the pond fixed with some of his special tape and got the pond in. It is at the end of the new decking next to my new pond but on a level sort of to the decking. I will tke a couple of pics so you can see.
Kim sorry your son had his weekend spoilt being ill. I can see why he is not a happy bunny.
Sausages and Ratatoui tonight with pasta and I had better get it on or you know who will be coming out here to see what I am doing. Think I have earned a bottle of red tonight! ;-) ;-) ;-)

Phew Shirl, I wouldn't like it that hot!! I would love your aircon, sometimes when it is hot here I do the cleaning in bra and pants!! :-0 (look away Frank!!) lol.
Mel, you will have to change the name of your place to 'The Lakes' soon! Your OH certainly likes digging holes. What will you put in the new one and where is all the soil you have dug out going? I found my plugs today.....they were in the pocket of the coat I take to the cinema to cover my knees if it is chilly. :-)
OH went to trim the brambles behind the fence today, but for the first time since we have lived here water was running down the ditch!!
We went to Stamford as planned later. What a lovely place, I hadn't been for quite a few years. Such quaint little old fashioned streets, all built in a golden stone. Even the new shops being built have wooden frontages all in victorian style and not a neon sign anywhere. I think the planners are very strict about what they allow. Nice to see the old boot scrapers set in the walls of the houses.
OH went to see the match against Stamford......they are called the 'Daniels' presumably after the famous leicester fat man, Daniel Lambert who is buried near Stamford. I saw his grave years ago.......easy to find it was huge and all planted up with flowers. He reached 52 stone and his chair is in one of the museums in Leicester. Quite a sad story really if you google his name in Wikipaedia.
Jane, it has been a weird year with the veg. We have only just had flowers appear on the runners. The toms are taller than me, but no toms ready to pick yet. The mini cues are doing really well though and they are as tall as me too and covered in cues. I have never had such good sweet peas either, the bungalow smells lovely.
We are both shattered, OH went to bed half an hour ago, so I will toddle off now. Up early tomorrow for more wrestling with soaker hose before it gets too hot!!

Good Morning and evening all,
What a glorious morning we have here today, I can truely say GOOD MORNING which I hav'nt been able to for a long time.
Oh is off ringing and I have to go up the hsop for some things I forgot yesterday. Shower first I think to cool off.
Ann hope you get a nice day and are rested enough to get on with the fight with that soaker hose. I bought one for the tunnel last year but did'nt manage to get it fitted to my big water butt and was'nt sure if it would work on a butt. Oh did'nt help!!!

Afternoon, What a great day, Got up 9.30 am showered shaved, and into shorts. been sitting on decking reading my book, got too hot so have come in to report to you. I Think we are on a STRIP thread. Panties and Bras, Nightdresses, Hope no pervs are looking in, they will be asking for photo's :-D :-D :-D
The girls are just about to go to Van Haig Garden Centre. When Jan opened the door she noticed that she has a big crack on the windscreen. in front of the drivers view. They are going in our car now. Conrad will have to sort our the screen with the insurers. ALWAYS SOMETHING.
We are having dinner about 4.00 mpm. I have scraped the potato's and Conrad has prepared the Veg. I would think the meat will want a fair bit of time, as it is so large.
The bunnies are around again this morning, and the Blackbirds are laying on the lawn with their wings spread out getting the sunshine.
Stamford is a great old town, History all around you, if you have time to search it out. When Conrad & Jan had Loads of Money we would go to the "GEORGE" for lunch or dinner quite often. Looking forward to the good time again. Okur villa holidays in Portugal, Malta, Cyprus etc.
They have said we can use their Hotel ROOM in the Carribean when it's finished, all we will need is our fares and meals. I don't somehow think we will ever be able to afford that. They bought it as an investment. Beechside with Golf and all the 5 x treatment you would expect. The roome will be let for £1,000.00 per week. of which they get a good return. They have another on a different Iseland, so lets hope all goes well for them.
Back to my book and sunshine. See you later.

Frank I can't see Conrad having any problems with letting in the Caribbean Good luck to them both with their investments :-D I always worry at first seeing a Blackbird splayed out on the lawn with it's beak wide open until I realise it is not injured but just sunbathing lol. I have been to the George in Stamford quite a few times over the years.Usually for special occassions or some evenings with Chris and other Drs and wives. The sun is in and out like a YoYo.More out than in I think which is good.
Pat have a lovely time watching your G Daughter strut her stuff on stage :-D
I just see 3 emails have come through I wonder if the could be from Frank ;-) Yes 2 from Frank ..I from Pat.Off to read them now.

Afternoon everyone,
Lovely sunny day here and a bit on the windy side which is keeping it a bit cooler .
We were about early this morning ,i had to get out for a wee and then i was wide awake !! hubby stirred so i went and made a cuppa and then read my book for a while .
We have put the Spa up today , all filled so lets hope we get the hot weather we are supposed too.
Frank , what a lovely offer , a holiday in the Caribbean, you know if you do decide to go there's lots of us on here who would willingly help you to carry your bags ;-) ;-) :-D :-D :-D
We had a black bird out on the front garden , i wondered if a cat had got it as it didn't move, but it was sunning its self , when the sun went in it flapped its wings and off it went !!
Pat, thanks for the photo of your grandaughter , she has some lovely long dark hair , there was a lot of them in the cast wasn't there .
Easy tea for us tonight , i cooked a huge piece of gammon the other day so we've got that to eat up with bit of salad and some new pots .
Phew it's warm in here, had to pull the blinds down to get some shade , we get the full sun all day .
Time for a cuppa .

I was going to ask if you had the Spa out Mandy but see you answered me before I asked lol. I hope the weather stays good for all the children and parents on school hols.At least it is a good start. I have my shorts on :-DI dug them out from under a pile and look like I have slept in them. :-SStill who cares .I'm not going anywhere.I'll give them a quick going over with the iron later when I start on the heap of things waiting to be ironed. My Gammon and Chicken are cooked and the smell is just Mmmmmmm! Chester is being his normal annoying self wanting more little titbits. But he has enough now ,Don't fancy him have a dicky tum.Trouble is he just won't give up pestering :-S :-S Just going to have some French Stick ,Pate and Cheese outside with Chris as he has just finished the lawn(again).
