Mandy ,he is ,isn't he.I don't know when I will get to see him though :-S.What with things the way they are.Jo had a Bone Scan done the other day and she wasn't allowed to hold William for 24hours afterwards.I think she must have been radio active or something.

I thought you were talking about me when you said 'little William is so cute' - then I read about 'lots of dark' and I knew definitely you weren't on about me!!! :-( .I think I could do with those cuddles to cheer me up now. . . ;-)
We have a new born baby boy next door now named Dylan, born premature on Friday 13th!! Luckily for him his birthday won't always be on Friday 13th. However, it WAS a lucky day for his parents - and a brother for Megan.

Not posting much I'm afraid, we are getting over our latest saga, the bed saga this time. I shall never catch up on all our sagas. Better take a SAGA holiday instead . . . that'd probably go wrong too. . . . . .

I don't doubt every thing IS in its place flower.

Ellen was at Doctors this morning about her poorly legs.

I have been in the garden and doing washing of the bed after changing it this morning and I got it dry!!!!!!!!!!

Been smashing today.

Had pork leg steaks tonight with homemade bubble and squeak and baked beans. was nice..............

Happy Anniversary to you and Ellen, David. I hope you have enjoyed your 33rd!! Is Ellen gradually feeling more at home in the new place now? It must be a bit easier for her if she has been having problems with her legs.

Mandy, I must be boring with tiles......my kitchen ones are white with a fine horizontal rib texture on them. I would hate bright ones.......limits what colours you can put on the walls.

The garden centre just down the road emailed me a voucher for my birthday for a free cuppa and slice of cake in their restaurant. :-D Today we called in to use it after we collected OH's car (he says it was freezing in it today!!! lol) OH had a drink and something to eat too, but when they totted it up it sounded too much to me. The cashier handed me my credit card receipt, but gave the other part to an assistant, who ripped a piece off to chuck away. I asked if I could have the other receipt and they started saying they needed to staple it to the voucher, so I said I just wanted the itemised part. The girl then stapled what she had ripped up together and gave it to me and I went and sat down. When I checked it they had charged me for my free cuppa!!! Needless to say I went back and asked them to check it but there was no sorry, just mumbled excuses about other offers. Do things ever advance I wonder!! When I worked, even 30 years ago we were taught to apologise to a customer for there being a mistake made, whether or not it was your fault and to just put things right straightaway. It was a good job I made them give me the rest of the receipt. More poor service!

Mind you I had some excellent service doing my car insurance yesterday. With another company I got £40 off my renewal, a smaller excess and a keycare policy added on too. Within 15 minutes my new certificate of insurance was emailed to me and within an hour the manager at the local branch had phoned me to introduce himself and advise me what service they could give me locally!! That's the way to do it as Mr Punch would say!! :-D

Did anyone else see that programme about the coldest and hottest places on earth? Yikes, in the coldest place in the winter they have to leave car engines running 24 hours a day so they don't freeze. It gets down to minus 60 degrees. Showers are taken by rolling in the snow!! Cows are kept indoors, but there are little ponies that live out and can stand the cold. A man swung a cup of tea and the tea froze like a shower of firework sparks before it reached the ground.

Have a pcc meeting this afternoon in the church and I hav'nt been to the last two so I suppose we must go. then tomorrow we have a wedding to ring for at 3pm I think so I have to muster the troops!!

Maureen yes could I have the birthday list and Liz's details and email too as that got lost in the changeover. The computer works beautifully, but everything is still sitting on the old one. Thanks Maureen.

I believe Joy came home late today, not sure though. Keith spoke to her daughter today and she sounded so down. She's not looking forward to all the hassle and when your mum says, "No one is telling me what to do" well you would feel like it was all hopeless. Silly Joy she is so intelligent and with it. A pity she can't do craft work, that would keep her out of trouble. Her fingers are crippled with arthritis. I don't know how it will all go, but I'm hoping common sense will prevail.

Mandy my daughter was very dark when born with heaps of dark brown hair at the back of her head. Gradually she went fair with curls. She was such a nice little thing back then, lol. :-S

It has been sunny here today with a biting wind.

Sheila I see Beryl is up to her old tricks. It must be like walking around with a volcano. I do enjoy reading about all this, but not good for you when you are stuck there in the middle of it. April is a real little comedian. She might be destined for the stage when she is older.

Good job you noticed and checked your receipt ,and how rude not saying they were sorry , i usually check my receipt in the supermarket and Tesc*'s are pretty good but if they have made a mistake they will some times give you the money back and not charge you for the item .

Well started off with a little rain here ,but we've had the sun Pat !! it's been sunny most of the morning ,did managed to clean some windows ....so that will make it rain !!

Hope you've left your purse at home Pat , haven't heard you say you've bought much lately so you've been good LOL

Kim, lets hope your neighbour will take it easy now she's home again,( but then maybe not ) what a worry for her daughter ,she must be on edge just waiting for the next phone call :-S

Never a dull moment with Beryl is there Sheila, not that I could go anywhere with her, I'd die of embarrassment. Doesn't sound like the sort of restaurant you'd want to go back to anyway.

My son is really clever bidding on e.bay he always manages to get the last bid in. The table I was hoping to buy for some unknown reason they took it off and the other one at £50 ended without a sale but he has put it back on for £25 so I've put a bid on that, couple of days to go.

Do men get paid for maternity leave Mandy, my ex took a few days off work when I had my last baby, I was glad when he went back to work, more of a hindrance than a help, my mum was great though.

Oh dear, I hardly ever clean the microwave, will try the lemon tip Frank. don't bother with my tip to stop the cats leaving their calling card, it didn't work with mine.

Yesterday was a lovely day so I got on with demolishing the arbour, good grief my son certainly made sure that wasn't coming down, don't think even a hurricane would have floored it. Those wretched spikes were about 3ft in the ground, you would all have had a good laugh watching me trying to get the posts out, I was singing Delaney's Donkey at the time, the words seemed appropriate, pushing it and shushing it, I was hanging off the end of it at one point, took me a couple of hours to get one out, right, one out three to go, I did get them all out in the end but boy was I aching last night. Not even going out there today.

I did take my purse with me today needed to call in Icelan* after work..nearly bought a nice raincoat type of Jacket...then noticed there was abig stain on the sleeve...It had been missed twice by the sorter and the person steaming it..I was disapointed tho..They put it straight in the rag bag then.

Came home from work had lunch was hoping to take

Yesterday someone on here asked for my tree..Wasent very polite and didnt say who they were interested in..Of course I didnt send...My full tree is on Ancestr*...I did ask her who she was interested in then I would help her.Will see if she comes back now..

I'm CROSS :-S :-S.....still haven't had the report through from the plumbing people.I chased them up yesterday and this afternoon.But have heard nothing!!!!!!!.Have asked them to email it to me to save time sending it by post.Why does everything take so blo*** long???Aaarrghh!!
