Just had a good laugh at the atics of Beryl in the pub!! Could just picture it. I would have wanted the floor to open up and swallow me if I had been with her.

We had rain today but no thunder and lightening or deluges.

Got the battery and oh fitted it and did some mowing outside the walled garden.

Whenever I go outside at th emo I get the blasted midges round my hairline and the ends of my eyes. They are a real peest this year and I hope it is'nt the ponds that are causeing them to come around.

Jane thanks for th elittle video and is'nt he lovely, just like a little doll. I could just give him a big squeeze.Maureen, not long now to wait for that table to finish. I bet the bids go up like crazy towards the end. Oh does that and waits up all night sometimes to see to see if he has got a mower or filter for the pond. He did that with the last filter he bought on ebay. It was only in Launceston so took the trailer to pick it up.

See you all in the morning.

Nigh night Mel xxx

Jane Report 19 Jul 2012 09:50

What did you have to eat last night Mel??Touch wood I never get indigestion .My James does if he eats warm fresh white bread.

It is very black overhead now.I wouldn't be surprised if we get thunder .It looks like it all building up :-S.I kept the walk short just now just in case we got caught.
It could be your ponds attracting those midges .Water and Midges go well together don't they lol
Toast and Marmite I think now :-D

Morning all, (JUST)

Pat, I don't wish to know that :-D :-D :-D :-D We men are lucky we don't have that trouble.

Bight this morning, but threatening clouds all around.

We are off to Edith Weston tomorrow arfter Ros has been to the Doctors.
I am taking a nice Rib of Beef, and new potato's from the garden, for Sunday dinner. We will have an Indian takeaway Saturday evening. don't know about Friday night.

David, Weather conditions play havoc with the T.V. and computer. Yesterday evening I was on Ebay, and as I scrolled down the page, it was going so fast I couldn't see the items. The T.V. also kept freezing for a second or two every few minutes.

Here comes the RAIN !!!
Maureen. DID YOU GET YOUR TABLE ????

Jane

Jane Report 19 Jul 2012 12:53

Well I refuse to wear any kind of swimwear so thank god I don't have to think about the Bikini Line problem :-D :-D.Us poor woman have to take care of all sorts don't we.It's just not fair lol
Frank was it last time you went to Rutland and had a takeaway you came home with the trots??.I think the weather will improve while you are there.Rib of Beef sounds wonderful.I have never done that one.

I hung the towels out that were nearly dry from yesterday and those cushion covers.5 minutes they were out and then the rain came :-S :-S

James will be home later this afternoon with a suitcase of washing :-S I'm so glad I have cleared the deck.
Now I need to get changed into something a bit more respectable than what I have on at the moment and be off to the Hairdressers.HOORAY!!

Afternoon all,Evening Kim,

We have a heavy drizzle today ,i always think rain is better than the drizzle ,the rain runs off you but the drizzle really soaks you !! :-S

Its a good job i rang son this morning ,i thought they were coming for tea ,son said he didn't think they were coming as i hadn't said any thing ,crossed wires i think!! so now they are coming tomorrow ,thank goodness i hadn't done all the potaotes and what not !!

Son is still off work ...... he's on maternity leave !! :-D no maternity leave for hubby when i had son !! he just took the time off as holiday and that was it !!

We had the most beautiful sky last night after the storm, went to get the camera but the colour had gone by the time i'd got it , the sky looked like it was on fire ,so pretty all pinky red all over the top of the church.
I see in our local paper out today that central Norfolk has had the Northern lights !! so will have to keep an eye out in case it happens again .

Really don't feel like getting on with any thing today , its the weather !! makes you feel so fed up :-S

Afternoon All,

Just a bit of drizzle here up to now. The papers last night were full of local flood pics, one of people sweeping it from their doorways a couple of miles away. Good job we are well 'uphill' from there! I nipped to the dog's home after we took the car in and one of the lanes was closed because of floodwater.

Frank, our usual small garage is brilliant, but we took the car to the garage Citroen franchise we bought the car from for this as our usual garage hadn't got the specialist diagnostic equipment needed for the aircon. They won't be doing the brake work needed though and charging at least £100 more than our usual garage!! OH has booked it in the usual garage for that to be done!! :-D I bet Ros will sell a few things at the baby shower Frank so it is agood idea to take some things. We had picture freeze on the telly last night too.

Funny what you were saying about the bright kitchen tiles Mandy, the bead lady said she has noticed a lot of 'neon' beads appearing!! Perhaps it will be clothes next!! :-0 I'd love to see the Northern Lights.

Pat, it's the microwave I hate cleaning!! I was told by an electrician once that they should be cleaned every time you use them.......!!!

Perhaps James will do his own washing Jane. ;-) I bet he will have enjoyed his holiday and have lots of pics to show you. Any white bread can give me indigestion too.

Better get ready to collect OH's car now......he's off to another match tonight......3 in a week!!

i think my wording got a bit mixed up poo indeed i meant poor do excuse me. Beryl likes to be the attention of everything and the service was dreadful it is good most times in the pub it is a chain and I have sent an e mail but like you say I just want to run away and think whats next.

Lunch with Annie can be boring compared to Beryl.

I have the dentist at 2.50 a tooth removed same one I told you about ages ago demanding it is taken out today.
it is sore and everything catches in it. I could do without eating
Mel thank you for your message hope your garden is not too weedy ours is dreadful. What can you do this weather.

Glad you agreed we had a problem in the pub Frank it was annoying how long does it take to tell you they have got a potatoe filling. Beryls temper is dreadful the chaps at the bar where shouting go on love you tell him and when she threw the potatoes one said go on girl chuck the other being mine I just wanted to get out of the pub. Donnies comment I could do you a nice tatter girl Beryl said Oh shut up poor Donnie. i had to drive her home after that.

Jane Report 19 Jul 2012 16:02

Well David I have been known on occassion many moons ago .In my youth when everything was in its place and not heading south lol

Happy Anniversary to you and Ellen .Are you celebrating or just having a quiet one?

Hannah is going to Iceland in November(I think) and she mentioned seeing the Northern Lights.I bet it will be amazing.

James will home any minute.Chris has gone to the station to pick him up.Washing machine all ready for him :-D :-D.He will do his own ,but he just bundles everything without unravelling and I like to shake things out first ,unroll sleeves and unbunch socks etc lol

My hair feels much lighter now :-D.I had a lovely shampoo and conditioner .It was mint and 5 think Menthol .Left my scalp feeling lovely and cool and tingly.
I better go and put the kettle on for the men

Frank

Frank Report 19 Jul 2012 16:04

Well it seems the rain has held ofI.

I have been down the garden to get the potatos. Not as many as before, but from 3 bags I have almost filled a Tesc# carrier bag. Will split them up between Conrad and us.

Ros wnt out yesterday and BOUGHT a sewing Machine. Without telling me. It turned out not to have a carrying handle or cover, so she's taken it back today. I went on Amazo# and found one the did more had a handle and saved me £35.00. That what I call shopping !!!! It should be here by Monday.
So what did I do with the savings. SPENT IT ON BEADS. Is she SPOILT or what :-D :-D :-D

I am having half of the Chicken that I cook last night. Cold with Chips and B/beans. I am doing a RIB EYE STEAK for madam, with fried onions, mushrooms Chips and a few baked beans. Shw always likes a peppered sauce with her steak. Everything is ready, just needs cooking later.

HOWS Goldie Locks ??? after the hairdressers. Looking smart no doubt. <3 <3 <3 Chris will be after you tonight :-( :-( :-(

Ann, We are very lucky with our little garage. As we don't do much mileage , he does an Oil,anf filter, general check all round and do all the levels, tyre pressure etc for £60.00. You do tend to find the small independant garage takes more care of their customers.

Ros has made loads of necklaces, earings, and braclets so hope she sells plenty. It will give her confidence to branch out a bit and be more adventurous with her designs.

Mandy, Have you seen the advert for B & # in their tile Dept. Some of those I wouldn't give house room !!! Maturnity leave. WHAT WAS THAT. in the 60s when my two were born, you took a couple of days off. Then left her too it with her Mother. I couldn't afford the time off either.

Pat, They say half a lemon in the microwave, for a minute or so, suppose to clean it. Anybody tried it ????

Yes Jane, I will stay away from it this time, either F & C or a Chinese. Every Indian use different spices, as much as it tastes wonderful at the time, you don't know what it does to your insides :-D :-D :-D. Hope James enjoyed his Holiday. Will he show you his white bits ????

Jane

Jane Report 19 Jul 2012 16:09

Yikes Frank.I haven't seen Jame's white bits since he was a little boy lol

I'm wondering if there might be thunder somewhere off in the distance as Chester keeps running in and out of the garden with the abdabs :-S

Oh my word Ann, its been bad your way then with the flooding :-S it has dried up a bit here now and i can see blue sky.
I don't like these bright neon colours !! i just want normal kitchen tiles am i old fashioned or what !! lol i don't think i could live with those bright colours in the kitchen.
Have you raided the button box yet :-D

David, Happy Anniversary to you and Ellen <3

MillymollyAmanda Report 19 Jul 2012 16:33
