Mandy we have a steam mop; it does a fabulous job.

Ann I will have to watch out everytime I let the cats out now. The black one would run a mile, but the silly ragdoll would have a go. :-S Then she would HISSSTORY, lol.

We have some timber stacked out under the clothesline. If it decides to go in there to have a family I won't be doing much washing. :-(

Sheila Report 10 Jul 2012 16:50

Well hello again just returned from another stay in the hospital came home early this morning suffering a terrible sore neck after hospital pillows. My circulation problem escalated into the most painful cramps in my leg and sore shoulder back and neck which was agonising. I have had all kinds of treatment and some very good cream for those dreadful sores and things that occurred also. Now fading.

I went to the dentist because a tooth broke only to be told the dentist had not turned up so had to drive around with hubby to find another who told me I needed a false plate to add the teeth on he had to remove. So I had to go twice for some gloopy impressions. I have felt and looked ninety recently and with this weather wonder if I am going to make Ireland or get washed away on the journey there. I firmly believe in the that song rain rain go away and dont come back another day.
I went to the cinima to see the film you recommended Annx and it was under water in the parking area.
Some dear yooth who was kind of shouting and moving his arms said take a chance if you go in but dont blame me if you cant get out
I was not feeling tip top so went home and to bed. Still awaiting the removal of my two teeth.

I was lucky to get a bed in hospital when I started screaming in pain every time I tried to lift my arm higher than my shoulder they decided to keep me in to investigate my problem they decided it was wet old age and
told me to take it easy. I hate taking it easy.Strong pain killers sent me off my head but did the trick.good back and neck rubs

I must say I was on the computor last night and really laughed at the turkey one sent to me about the female turkey we all collasped with laughter. The kids were all here for a few days in anticipation of my passing. All were present when I suddenly had a cramp in the back of my leg which hurt so much I screamed in agony again a nurse was just filling a tube with some liquid near me and she dropped it in fright. I have suffered some nasty pain but believe me nothing like just recently.

Some women in the next bed to me said try having a baby if you scream at pain i said I have had three and she said well have another one I said love that would kill me I am seventy four so shut up . Her hubby found it very amusing.

Maureen I loved your wedding photoes your daughter looked lovely and what you wore was Great loved the colour and style.

Mohsen is back in Birmingham supporting a very black beard I bumped into him coming from the hospital I was getting a taxi. he just looked and ignored me. the beard i think was to hide him and he looked shocked I reconised him.

Hope everyone is ok my friend is coming to give me a face lift I need it at least another dozen wringles .

I just feel very sore now and trying to get back to normal but feel very tired
and the dull weather does not help.

I do hope your ok everyone if not my condolences.

April did make me laugh she phoned me and said the nurse said your grans been screaming in pain . She said poor poor nannie .Then added does pain hurt then.

Fancy Andrew Murrey not winning I got wheeled into the telly room by a lovely nurse who knew I liked tennis.

Well it is 5 pm and I think time I stopped 'doing' I decided I couldn't be having all those things from the unit all over the lounge .So they have gone back yet again lol,Until next time.

How nice to have all our sheep back in the fold.
Welcome back William and Sheila :-D :-D.
Wiliam I'm glad you got your leaky problem sorted :-DYou may not have seen my posts of our big leakt problem :-S :-S
Oh Sheila you poor old sausage. We were all getting very concerned about you and didn't know what was happening. You must do as you are told now and ease up a bit :-D.You need to be fit for your trip .When is it you go?

Kim I see you have a new pet :-D :-D.I wonder how long it is going to stay around. Is there anywhere you could put up adverts just in case it is somebody's lost Python

Mel Chester doesn't actually have worms. It is just that I realised I hadn't given him worm pills for some time.He is still fart*** lol
His lumpy warty things will stay. The vet said they are really no trouble just cosmetic, and as he is 14 she doesn't want to do an anaesthetic if it not really needed. Also he is loosing weight so I need to keep an eye on that.

No rain or thunder here so far today :-D.It has looked a bit iffy at times but I got plenty of washing dry.
I better get the Baked Potatoes ready to pop in the oven.I always roll them in Olive oil and salt first.

Frank Report 10 Jul 2012 20:54

I'm here at last.

Ann thanks fot the thought, I have only just read your post. Yes we do have SAT. Nav. good job too, once you lerave the M 1 you go this then that, talk about round the houses, but we did get there. Got loaded up with about an inch to spare at the back PHEW.

On the wat back though all the Country lanes we found a nice little pub that did lunches. OAPs £4.75 for two courses. Ros had Garlic Mushrooms and Roast Pork, I had Pate and Roast Turkey.

We were back at Tesc#s by 3.pm. Did a bit of shopping and then home.

I tried to move my old freezer away from the garage wall, so I could get the "NEW" one in place, when young neighbour got home from work to help me. I pulled my BAD ARM and it feels that it dosen't belong to me at the moment. Also my right hip. When Johnathan got home from work he came round to help me. We managed to move the old freezer into the middle of the garage. Then we had to lift the new one out of the car and carry it down the drive and put it in postion.I haven't turned it on yet, I will let the Gas settle then put in on in the morning. Then IT'S SORT OUT TIME in the old freezer.

My Runners are at the top of the canes and in flower. The Broad Beans are starting to fill up, but toms are in flower, and the ones that are growing are like marbels also. T G we still have Tesc# !!!

Sorry to hear about your bout of bad health Shelia, take it easy.

Don't forget BACK IN TIME Tonight. I am recording it.

Annx

Annx Report 10 Jul 2012 23:15

Glad you found the place and managed to get the freezer in the car Frank. Yes, the roads around here are a right mess and can be confusing to those that know them as well as those that don't. City planners are trying to 'discourage' motorists so we all use public transport or bikes. You'd be in a fine pickle trying to get a freezer on the bus or a bike!! :-| Your lunch sounds like a real bargain and it is nice to go somewhere new when you pass through different places than usual. I hope you haven't hurt your arm too much and I bet you find something you'd forgot about when you swap the food into the new freezer.

Sheila, it seems to be one thing after another for you lately. I hope you soon feel nearer 19 instead of 90. You need a holiday by the sounds of it so rest up a bit when you can and hopefully it will perk you up a bit. What a shame the car park was flooded when you went to the cinema. A pity you missed Andre, but if I'd been in your shoes I wouldn't have risked it either.

When we went to fetch the car they said they had to re-gas it but at least they found the leak. It needs a new condenser......about £500....MORE EXPENSE, but less than a new compressor would have been! Even worse, unasked, they appear to have gone over the rest of the car (looking for work they can do I suspect !!!) It needs work on the brakes (which OH knew about from the last service at our usual garage, but not urgent), a new fog light bulb and a bumper stop bolt!! This was the Citroen agent OH bought the car from, so I think he will let them fit the condenser, but take the car to our usual, small garage with Citroen trained mechanics for the other jobs and save his pennies!. :-D lol.

I'm interested to hear feedback on the steam mops. I suppose you have to sweep or hoover the floor first though? Are they heavy or hard to push and do they leave the floor wet?

Off to bed now, out for lunch tomorrow and then to spend some vouchers at a garden centre.

I have a nice little pile of cards now waiting to be opened on Thursday! :-D :-D

MEgirl Report 11 Jul 2012 08:42

Morning everyone,

Snakeypoos is gone, no one liked that photo so I have chosen another one taken about 6 years ago. O.K. MOTHER SHIRL?? ;-) ;-) ;-)

Mandy so glad Lacey is doing well. OH uses a cleaning vinegar with the mop and everythings comes up a treat. Was a good buy for us.

Jane good that William has put on a little weight. It is very sad about his mum, will the chemo. give her much time. It seems they can't operate on her liver and remove the affected area :-( Life is so unfair at times.

Mel it was at the glass door, but we have had kids in the bush today. I hope they didn't kill it. My daughter said they had axes. Probably up for the school holidays and nothing better to do. It is a protected species, so I will be notifying someone if they have slaughtered it.

Sheila you have been missing in action for a while. So sorry that you have been hospitalised. It is boring to be laid up and in so much pain. Take it easy and that is a task in itself. I like to be busy and do things, but I know I can't. It is very frustrating. A small holiday sounds like good medicine to me.

Shirl sorry the lawns are burnt. We had that about 5 years ago, lost ferns and plants and with water restrictions, there was nothing we could do to save them. The lawn came back eventually, but it was a shocker for a while. Glad that the headaches have eased up. I wonder when Fiona will be back with us??

Has been sunny here today and a little warmer, but the chill is back now and rain on the way. The water tank is overflowing.

Hope the sun beams down on you today. Might BBL to see how everyone is. 5.40 pm AEST
