LOL Ann, I looked twice at David's ti*. David I had one corn on the ball of my foot a year or so ago and I know how darned painful that one was .You must be so relieved now to be rid of yours I had lots of warts when I was young. On my fingers and a biggy on my knee.I kept that one covered with a plaster quite a lot as I would keep knocking it. I think I sold my warts to a lady who I thought was a witch in the village. And do you know what .........they disappeared :-DI know warts are caused by a virus but hey the witch got rid of them :-D :-D

Not offended David, amused, we all hit the wrong keys at times.
Jane, this is where you need your divining rod!! :-D You could walk around the kitchen with it until it 'flips'. Hopefully the leak under the floor will be near the edge. Sounds like new tiles whatever they do, unless you have spares.
There is a lot of noise in the field from 8.00am onwards now...........the diggers are in there and soil is being heaped in different places. I suppose this will carry on for the next 12 months while they build the houses. :-(

I just posted a long item on here, pressed 'submit' and it disappeared!?!? What a pest, now how do I remember all the things I said?
First off, I have been popping in to catch up on you all but haven't had time to write anything. We seem to have been kept so busy, if not water logged. We had a leak in our dormer and what a job to get a tradesman to fix it. The weather, one way or another made it difficult to get anyone out. However, it's fixed now so we can't complain. I still haven't got round to relating 'the carpet saga' for you all, but I will do soon, I promise. I'm still taking the tablets to get over it. We are now on the 'decorating the bedroom saga' - and the place is totally upside down. I'm not doing it I add, those days are past, we have to have a GALMI now.
Clearing the bedroom has made us realisethat we have far to many things we don't need or want, so there have been trips to the charity shops with that. Even before that, following Nanny Dot passing away, we have been checking what we have amassed over the years and never need, so more charity shop jaunts.
Then last week the car ded on me, and it was still in our garage! I had to call out 'the nice RAC man you see the telly, he got here fairly rapidly and got me mobile again in no time. There was just a dent in our bank account for a new battery, but. hey. nobody died!
The awful weather, including the golf ball/ice cube hailstones, haven't helped much. They put a hole in my little portable greenhouse roof. I didn't realise at first but wondered why there was a bucket of water in there when I hadn't left one in there... I've loads of outdoor jobs to do, new outside tap washer, fix the security light - not to mention catch up on the garden. I cut our pyracantha right back this spring, now it looks like a candidate for Jack and the Beanstalk!
Where we live hasn't been too affected by floods thank goodness, but my heart goes out to those who have been affected by the awful floods around the country. I cannot imagine what heartaches, traumas and out of pocket situations there have been. Nothing is more important than ones home, except of course family and friends.
I think I've more or less repeated what I typed earlier. I'll just press 'submit' and see it this one makes it??? - Here goes - - -

Hi William, Glad to see you around again. Poor old David and I have been in the minority, for to long !!!
Boy oh Boy am I cream crackered.!!! I went in the garden after Ros went to Hospital, and stayed out there till 4.pm. Cut back the shrubs that were overhanging the lawns, and driveway. It left lots of twigs and leaves on the lawns, so out came the MOWER. being a rotary, it picks all the bits up. The only trouble was, the green bin was full of shrub cutting, so grass cuttings had to go in black bin liner.Just hope they take it next week.
Ros is fine. No problems other than her intestines have LOOPS which the specialist said could have been with her since birth. She hasn't got divirliculitis (sp) Which she had been told she had years ago.
She came home as "HUNGRY AS A HORSE" so I filled her up with a nice dinner.
I just came out of the shower about 4.45 pm when the front door opened, it was Conrad and Jan, They had come down to see his Mum and check on her , alsop to see us on his birthday. 43 today. Very thoughtful BOY. !!!!
We are off to Leicester tomorrow to pick up a 2nd hand Freezer. Good old Ebay. The one we have was here 14 years ago when we moved in, It's had it's day, keeps freezing up and pushing the lid up with all the ice. So should save me money on electricity. I break the ice away every week, and have damaged the seal.

Hi William, glad to see you around again! It sounds like it's been a bit busy at your place with one thing or another. Still, you will get there eventually. Having a sort out is a good idea as you say. I'm sure if I hadn't moved to a smaller place 12 years ago I would be up to my neck in stuff like one of those 'hoarders' on the tv programmes. We hang on to things we don't need or use and don't miss once they have gone.
Well I feel like Victor now!! :-| Someone came nextdoor to redo a bit of the brickwork arch that had cracked there. OH just came home and told me my car is covered in a thick layer of grit!!!! WHY don't people come and tell you so you can move your car?????? There was plenty of room with OH being out and I could have put it under the window out of the way. A feeble 'sorry' doesn't really cut it. Now I have to try and wash it off with a hose before I can take it to the carwash. The same neighbour's husband decided to jetwash his ROOF when we were on holiday a few years ago and covered my car in grit then!! Grrrrr!

Glad Ros is fine Frank and that all is well. Give me a wave as you approach junction 21!! lol. I suppose you have satnav (unlike me) and will find your way ok to where the freezer is for sale. Just say if you want my tel no. just in case.
Pat, is the Zumba more tiring than the line dancing? Poor Mocha going to the kennels......it will get him used to it while he is young though.....I bet he will take his toys.
We are taking OH's car to the garage tomorrow to see if mending the climate control will cost an arm and a leg. :-| Early start so I better get to bed now.
Wonder how Fiona and Shirl are

Morning all,
Yes as Pat said the python was sitting outside my backdoor yesterday looking in at us. It had to be Joel who discovered it again. There was a huge ahhhhhh it's back, it's back. He/she sat there curled up and posing with the tongue coming out, not bothered by us at all. My cats were keen and terrified all at the same time. The black one became very spooked when it moved forward. :-0 Eventually it gently slid back to the bush, but I'm not sure where it plans to live. Still believe it is a pet and a female. They lay 15-20 eggs in the summer. She must be looking for a mate. Hope the nest is far away from here, but she has taken a liking to us. :-S
Frank your garden is a picture. What a credit to you; all those aches and sore knees must be worth it when the end result looks so stunning. That picture was taken just after my gallbladder op. I lost some weight then and another 6 kg. in 2007. I would love to have that energy back. Good that all went well with Ros.
Talking of perfumes I used to love Poi**n, but it was awfully strong. Charlie I wore back in the early 70s, but not nice. Lou Lou was another favourite and Anai** Anai**. I can't remember them all, but I did love them.
Jane hope James enjoys his holiday. As for worming pets, it is meant to be done every 3 months. My cat goes off colour when she is wormed. It might be best to give him a meal, rather than worm on an empty tummy. It all depends on the brand. Good luck with it. Jane as for my daughter, she really feels the cold, but thinks it is better to look skimpy than be warm, unbelievable.
Maureen thanks for the wedding photos. The bride looked lovely and I thought the flowers were beautiful. I did like your outfit and hat, what a proud mum. The hall decorations looked a treat.
Weather has been dull here and rain is predicted. Poor old Joel has caught Miranda's chest infection and is feeling the pinch. He's not been sick for over a year, apart from a few hangovers ;-) Was due to start some work tomorrow, but that won't be possible. Hopefully Thursday if he's up to it.
Have a good day everyone, hope your weather is sunny. Might BBL. 5.35 pm AEST.

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Fancy that snake coming back. Perhaps it has it's eye on your cats Kim!!!!
Poor old Chester Jane with an upset tummy. He will feel better today maybe after getting rid of the worms. How did he get on with his new lumps at the vets?
It is nice to know that William is keeping an eye on the thread even if he dos'nt have time to post.
Ann how ar your toms doing? Did they lose that mauvy tinge they had earlier, mine did but they are not growing as normal. They are very thin in the stems this year. I put it down to not enough good light. Runners are flowering but the stalks of the flowers are about 2 foot long. Going to cause problems when they have the weight of the beans on them.
think I must go shopping today. A shame because it is not raining at the moment and there is some sun between the grey clouds that are passing over. I layed in bed this mnorning and watched the clouds. the grey ones were passing and looked much lower than the big white one behind but they were not moving at all.
Just having some cereal whilst writing this so I can take my pills.

Morning All,
OH's car is at the garage now and we did a shop on the way back and got the papers, so now we are in for the day.....OH on here doing notes and me catching up with a bit of HW. :-|
Mel our toms are just the same. They look green and healthy in the tips now but there is a lot of stalk between the trusses and those don't seem to have as many flowers either. The biggest tom this morning was marble size!! lol The onions outside are trying to go to seed as well.......not a good year on the veg patch. I haven't dug around the potatoes yet. to see if there are any. Just had a real belter of a shower of rain here......more forecast. Still it is washing the rest of that grit off my car.
Kim, I would not be happy till that snake was miles away. What if it slithers in the house when you don't notice? Gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it. :-0
Oh, he's here now so I better sign off till later!
