Afternoon All,
Our computer has been out of action since Friday.......I got a pop up allegedly from the police saying there had been illegal use and so they had locked it!! Wanted £100 to unlock it. I couldn't get rid of the screen so had to phone our support people who took over access remotely to diagnose what had happened. They were familiar with this 'scareware', but expected it to take 3-5 days to clear it so we had to leave the computer on day and night while they worked on it. It's fine again now, but don't you miss it when you can't use it........like your car being in the garage!!
Kim, your new photo is lovely! What a nuisance having to give up perfumed things. Cha*el No5 is a favourite of mine too, but I also like F*dgi. I like fresh flower smells, sweet peas, not keen on musky smells. Cha*lie.......hated that and my boss at the time used to drench herself in it!! lol. I like OH's L'Hom*e de Nuit too. ;-)
What a crush Jane, think I would have got the vapours, don't like crowds!! Your new 'bessie' friend has some nice beads on all those tassels!! lol. Yes, what is STOMP about?
I.m glad there was no standing water under your floorboards and that Chris spotted the leak. It will be much easier to fix. I would think they will need the floorboards up to repair it......you might have to empty the cabinet again! Have you heard the results of the scan that little William's mum had?
Frank, I would enjoy a trip to the palace too. I bet Ros and her friend will really enjoy it. I keep meaning to go to Althorp as well, but haven't made it there yet either.
Mandy some of these big lorries seem to drive too close anyway don't they........must have been a bit scary for the people in that car seeing it bearing down on them with tyres screeching! Hope your BIL is getting less pain now and that Lacey is doing well.
Do you often see Muntjac where you live Mel or are they something new.

Morning Mel and all,
Same sort of day here Mel, but it's looking a little brighter.
I went to bring in the BIN and BOX'S this morning The wheelie bin stunk like you wouldn't believe. So have hosed down all the BIN and boxs. When they are dry will sprinkle with bin stuff (smellie) and all will be ok again. Next week is the Green bin. That will be coated inside with grass cuttings, so that will get the same treatment.
Good news then Jane, on the water front. Glad you had a good day with Hannah. Last weekend, the traffic and crowds were just the same up Regent street and Oxford street. You wonder where all these people come from !!!
Ros's birthday isn't till Sept. But Carolyn will be in Hastings that month, So it looks like August. Overnight stay in the Holliday inn or similar in the Heathrow area, and then the coach to the Palace. I've got other Companies to look at, so nothing booked yet.
Ros is back and forward to the loo. She has drunk SIX PINTS of that horrible liquid, before going to hospital this afternoon, She sat and drank FOUR PINTS last night between 8 pm and 11 pm another TWO this morning between 8 am and 10 am. She's just gone to shower and get ready for Carolyn to pick her up at 1.00 pm. I was going with her, but there's nothing I can do, other than sit around on those horrible chairs for 3 hours. Carolyn will drop her off and go back to pick her up later.
Hopw William and Shelia and Shirl. are all well and will be in touch soon. Hope all you others are well also.

Frank I hope Ros has finished that investigation now at the hospital and will soon be home.Bet she will relieved it is over and done now. Your garden pics are lovely.is that the Olive tree I spy that you bought in Tes**? It's looking good :-D Gas man Daniel has been and gone.He has tied off something in the head tank?and will come back on thursday to see if the level of water has dropped. He doesn't expect it to.He things the likely reason for our trouble may be a pipe under the kitchen floor :-S :-S.Now that will mean digging up the floor. But I will wait until he comes on Thursday before we contact our insurance people and see what happens next.
James has gone and there seems to be a mountain of laundry!!!What a surprise lol.So for the next 9 days it is just Chris and me :-DI hope James has a great holiday. He is just looking forward to not working nights and sleeping all day.A bit of normality with great weather :-D We actually had a bit of sunshine this afternoon :-D :-D It must be summer lol Now is it Baked Potatoes or Pasta for dinner? Decisions Decisions.

Afternoon All,
I was still awake at 3.00am this morning! Why is it when you think you are tired you just can't sleep. :-S
Up at 8.00am and put a wash on and then went in the garden to start planting around the waterfall and put a few small shrubs in. I need to split some plants in the front garden to get some new plants for the back! Then I levelled some more soil around the pebble pool area and sorted out an area where slate chips will go. Managed to get an ant in my crocs and it BIT ME!! Can't blame it though.....I keep digging up their nests and keep making them homeless. Picked another mini cue, some lettuce and radish so that's a start on salad for tea and tied up the tom plants. The toms are hardly bigger than peas yet and our poor old runners are only halfway up the poles and not a flower in sight!!
OH came out and cleared the foxgloves and some other plants we don't want in another bed ready to do the soaker hose. He had a puncture repaired on a tyre a few weeks ago, but noticed it was flat again so he went to the garage while he did a few errands and they put a new valve on ...no charge. Now he's gone to a meeting.
Lovely and sunny now and I want to go out but I feel worn out!! Too many birthdays I think! :-S
I thought of Kim's snake this morning when I saw the news where a pet python escaped to the house next door and the man that lived there found it coiled around his 12 month old baby son's leg trying to eat his foot!!! I'm not sure all and sundry should be able to buy snakes as pets......??
Hope Ros's test goes well Frank.........she will be glad to get back to FOOD after all that yucky drink.

Ann No wonder you feel tired. :-S.I think it is just the worst thing ever when you know you are tired but sleep just doesn't come.Toss Turn Toss Turn Arrrggghhh!.I usually know when I go to bed if it is going to be a bad one.I start off restless ,huffing and puffing, twitchy legs, heart rate higher and brain on overdrive :-S :-S.It's just no fun especially when the other person is snoring their heads off after just a minute of falling asleep. Hope you get a better night tonight.

I can certainly sypathise with Ros having gone through the same procedure recently. Hopefully it is all done and she can forget about it.
Ann you have inspired me to do something in the garden, apart from sit and read my book with a glass of wine ;-) Not as ambitious as your project but do feel like doing something, think I might make another patio area at the bottom of the garden, the sun is there ...... when we get the sun that is ........ all day whereas up on the decking it's gone by about 3.00
Talking of sunshine, when are you off to sunny Spain Pat, do you think you could squeeze me in your suitcase :-D
Still no further forward then Jane, what a nightmare, let's hope it doesn't drag on and on :-0.
Have been sorting out some more wedding photos and have sent a few to you all.

Been out in the garden this afternoon like you Ann. Oh dug up a big rhodo and moved it further down the garden. Out came the Azalia that was under it too so I have potted that in a tub as it has grown a funny shape being under the rhodo. Now he is digging two trenches to put a block wall in at the end of the new decking by the new pond and is going to put my Japanese tree thingies in there. I did'nt go shoppig as I thought I would go tomorrow as it seems quieter on a Tuseday.
It is horrid when you can't go to sleep. I was like that the other night. Must have layed there till after 3 am.
Think I must have a bit of a cold as I have just had a sneezing fit. :-(

Dentist this morning.Got a clean and polish. She says they're as good as they ever will be.
The business at the dental hospital last Monday. They say it's an old root canal breaking at the tit and the fragments being absorbed by the neighboring tissue. Beets me how it migrates from the end of a root canal to the back of my upper lip.................
Went to chiropodist.Got 4 seed corns removed from my left heel. What a relief.
My late Mother always had corns. She must have been crippled with them.

Asked for help with my Fathers ancestors on another thread.
Ive got Father's GGF
The one offering the help said he had been a fisherman from Dunbartonshire!
I can't find any evidence to back this up,nor can I deny it.

Yes, lovely pics Maureen. You look great in that dress. I do like the bouquets with pink roses and blue nigella ? (I think!).......very delicate looking.
Mel, I think I have a few shrubs in the other borders to move as well. Two that have been in a couple of years seem to grow outwards rather than upwards so need moving nearer the front. :-S I think I still need to buy a few more too!!
Liz I thought Merlin looks in fine fettle too.........he's doing a good job there!
