In Dublin's Fair City Where the girls are so pretty I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone As she wheel'd her wheel barrow Through streets broad and narrow Crying cockles and mussels alive, alive o!
Chorus Alive, alive o!, alive, alive o! Crying cockles and mussels alive, alive o!
She was a fishmonger But sure 'twas no wonder For so were her father and mother before And they each wheel'd their barrow Through streets broad and narrow Crying cockles and mussels alive, alive o!
Chorus
She died of a fever And no one could save her And that was the end of sweet Molly Malone But her ghost wheels her barrow Through streets broad and narrow Crying cockles and mussels alive, alive o!

Mel I think the freezer sounds the best bet at the moment.Febreez* will just mask the pong and probably too late to pop in Odour Eate**.I wish Odour Eate** had been invented when I was a nurse and living in the Nurses Home.My shoes could have knocked your socks off and living in a small room was not pleasant lol.So the shoes used to go out on the window sill over night .Mine weren't the only ones .The window sills of the Nurses Home were decorated with shoes :-D.Oh Happy Days :-D

Had a call from Fiona. She is still having her headaches ,but the doctor says they are definitely tension .So nothing more serious.(which is good) She has had walls being bashed down with (Jack Hammers)Not sure if that is right, but whatever they have used has made the house shake :-S She says Hi to everyone and will be back when she can.I thought it might be a nice idea if she thought about going for a nice Neck shoulder and Back massage to relax her.I think she might feel the benefit from that. She said she would look into it. :-D

Evening all,
Maureen, Have replied to your PM.
Thanks all for your kind words. about my trip. I phoned Conrad this morning to "THANK HIM AGAIN" for a wonderful day, that I am sure will live with me foreever.
Mel, I couldn't believe the the old River Roding three arch bridge is no longer there. Above the Chigwell Road is the M 11. Didn't go up to the High road, but have been told the old Horse Trough. is now a roundabout, to Chigwell and Lambourne End.
Jane, Please enjoy your Saturday with Hannah, and give her my regards, even though we haven't meet, I feel as though I know her, with all the info. you have provided. Hows the romance going. Wouldn't it be easier for James to buy new trainers??
What a pity about the accident, and FIL not allowed to use phone, I bet your OH will have trouble with the insurance Co.
Going back to yesterday. Old BORIS is doing a lot for London. You can now pick up a BIKE and cycle across London or anywhere where there is a parking area for Bikes. They are all fitted with lights, so can be used in the dark. IO don't think there is ant charge for the service. The bikes are in Bright Blue livery, so no good for the thiefs.
I have tried skyping our SHIRL. I could see she was on Line, but NO REPLY. will try again later to let her know we are concerned about her.

Well OH managed to deal with the insurance but had to get FIL to come to the phone and OK them talking to him. It looks like the car will be a write off as it is worth so little so I don't know what they'll do now. The passenger door is jammed, but it is driveable. OH tried to explain what will happen next, but had to keep telling them to listen!!
Yes the craft exhibition open evening was tonight, but they were also selling. There were some lovely things that the students had made and artwork. OH came with me and we met 2 others that go to my class with their OH's. OH soon had the ladies chuckling, describing our house as 'Beads'r'Us' !! lol Frank will know exactly what he meant!! Anyway I saw people paying for 2 of my necklaces so was quite chuffed with that. It is open all week now till midday Friday, then we collect what hasn't sold.
Mandy, I forgot I had done my trainers in the washing machine before, and slippers!! lol
Yes, it is sod's law Jane! Never mind, there will be other opportunities. :-D
Off to bed now......OH just said it has been a long day!

Frank ,thanks for your nice words about Hannah.I'm sure we will have a great day on Saturday.I must say though I am watching the programme about 7/7 05 and realise I will be going on 7/7!!!!It is giving me a bit of the heebie jeebies :-S Not that I think anything will happen again but it will be in the back of my mind. I think I will suggest we walk everywhere rather than do tubes or buses. Not that will be practical of course.I must just put it out of my head. Her Romance is going fine.John is in Japan at the moment but will be home again in a week.
As for James's trainers. He only needs them really to travel. He will then be in sandals once he is in Malta. He can buy himself a new pair once he gets home lol
Maybe Hannah and I could get a couple of Boris's bikes on Saturday ;-) YIKES! that would be a picture lol
Off to bed now .Up in the morning to get ready for the Leak detector man!! Night Night xx

Morning all,
I have had a reply from Shirl. She is suffering from a bad headache that's like Electric shocks going through her head ( She will be a bright spark Won't she) :-D :-D :-D SORRY SHIRL.!!!
It's a coincidence that you are in London on 7/7 Jane, Don't let is bother you,. I'm sure you will be as safe as houses.
Ann, I'm glad OH has sorted out the car insurance. Do you think they will still drive after this ??? What age are they now ??? What happens to the CASH from any sales of the Jewellery. Do you get it ??
What a dark, horrible day it is, Move like Novermber than July !!! We had the heating on for an hour last night.
Ros has gone to have her nails done this morning, then onto Tesc# for odds and sods.
My how I am suffering from my day out. Not only my knees, but now my right hip. Hope it's only from exertion, and not more arthritis creeping into my joints. I will be like the BIONIC MAN, if they replace all the worn joints.
Have scaned a photo of all four of us with the F.A. CUP. The job now is forwarding it :-D :-D :-D :-D Will see what I can do.

Oh Dear! It appears we don't have a leak ....He thinks it is all to do with the Water Table that runs right under the house :-S :-S.We are talking bore holes down through the garage floor and floor boards up between the kitchen and lounge (and that is just to have a look) then it could be proper disruptive stuff :-S :-S. The man was very good and explained things to me in words I could understand. He has given me a list of a questions to ask the man coming from Nationwid* on thursday.Like can the water going under our house be diverted in the main drain. If not why not.Who is responsible for what or not.So I think there will be experts coming in and out .Whatever happens it is not going to fixed any day yet. I keep imaging our house just sailing off down the road lolol. The water is high so it is soaking up the footings or something and also the damp course isn't good enough to cope with it all.He thinks that when the extension was built it disturbed the path of the water table. I think I will give up now as I am waffling and losing the plot :-S
Now I have headache :-| :-|

Heavens Jane, that doesn't sound good, looks like it's going to be quite a job to fix.
I looked that up Mel, Marianina, wasn't the one I was thinking of but don't those girls have beautiful voices. The song I had in my head was Marianna. A friend from school was reminiscing a while ago, she remembered holding hands with a boy in class while they sang I Know An Old Lady.
Those Fuschias were cheap Ann, You saying about the eggs made me think about bread, the thick is more like medium now, goodness knows what the thin slice is like, wafers probably.
I've put trainers in the washing machine and slippers, trouble with the slippers the padding bit goes lumpy.
I think you do have to pay to use those bikes in London.

Think hard before you make an insurance claim for this problem. If it happened again they wouldn’t entertain a claim, and if the insurance wouldn’t honour it in the future, how could you sell it?

Dental hospital told me the problem I presented was due to a 30 year old root canal work breaking up.
Two years ago they told me it was an amalgam tattoo, now its at the back of my upper lip.Didn’t know these issues travelled.

Afternoon All,
Thanks for the pic Frank, it is a great photo and memory for all of you to keep. Many thanks too for today's emails........OH couldn't stop laughing at the High Urinals one!! :-D lol. I bet your aches will settle down with a bit of rest after your busy day so take it easy today.....too wet for gardening anyway. MIL passed her test years ago but doesn't drive (silly not to have kept it up) and FIL is 91 now Frank, so he wouldn't be driving many more years anyway. I don't know what they will do or whether they will get another car. At least they had witnesses to the accident. They were in slow moving traffic and a woman shot out of a garage to their left and it must have been at speed because of the damage done. Am sending you a EM about the sale.
Oh Jane, it's not sounding good about the damp. The water table must be high at the moment anyway with all the rain we've had. Does any damp show on the garage wall?
I had to google those tattoos David as I'd never heard of them. Will it need any treatment or be best left alone?
We went out for a carvery today and OH is having a lie down now! His interview yesterday lasted over an hour and he was up very early preparing stuff for it. The day before, he was in the garage at 6.30am, finding work papers as evidence of what he'd done in his past jobs, then having to dash over to his parents to sort them out too.......a rest will do him good! :-)
I hope Shirl's and Fiona's headaches soon improve and that you feel better after a rest Kim.
