Evening all,
"HOLBY CITY" time, so time for me to get out of the way.
Maureen, I think all B & #s will have the sale on plants. I think they have over ordered, and with this weather, they are glad to see them gone.
We,Harvy, Lewis Conrad and I are going to Wembley to do the TOUR. Conrad bought the tickets for Father's Day.
I heard on Anglia News that the GRAND PRIX was at Silverstone this weekend, but it's not till the weekend after. Thank goodness, what with the M 1 being closed and the Grand Prix, we would never get to Wembley.
Very stange reaction to my KNEE. I( put my feet up this afternoon to rest it, and the pain has now gone down to my instep, It's so painful that I can't even touch it. Have put a load of pain killer cream on it but still very tender.
I thought I would give my leg a bit of excersise this afternoon, and cut both lawns, it started to rain just as I finished.
I came in and sat down and had to put the lights on, and that was before 5.00 pm.
Ros had to prepare dinner and cook it today, I was to knackered to even try.
Went to the Freezer in the garage tonight, and it's frozen right up too and beyong the lid. Ice sticking out the sides of the lid. It's been here (LEFT) since we moved in 14 years ago. So now looking at 2nd hand freezers. One in Kettering, that's the closest. other all over the place.
Have recorded "BACK IN TIME" will watch that tomorrow, while Ros is out doing her patchwork 10am till 4.00pm.
Sorry you are not well again KIM, be a good girl and rest up. As for the rest of you, take care. see you tomorrow.

What a wet day it has turned out to be! lol. It was raining by the time we got there, but I had packed a picnic for us so we sat and ate that in the car first. By then it had stopped raining so we had time to look all around the gardens which were very nice......some lovely perfumed roses. By the time we set off home it was raining again, but we came back via Stratford and popped in a garden centre on the way. We passed through some lovely villages with beautiful thatched cottages. We were both suffering a bit from yesterday's gardening so I'm glad we hadn't gone where there was too much plodding about to do! Poor old thing.......who mentioned knees!! I feel quite tired now.....mind you, nextdoor's dog was barking at 6.00am this morning!!
Maureen, she must have been so excited about the dolphins. I have never done that either. Lucky girl going to Mauritius though!! OH mentioned that programme as well.....Edwardian times isn't it.......I think we will like it too. :-D We have recorded it.
Sorry your pain is bad Kim and I hope with some rest it will ease soon. Our weather is going down hill again I think, except it is rain with mugginess......supposed to be breezier again by the weekend too.
Frank, I bet you chaps will love THE TOUR. I find I get pains in strange places with my knees at times. They used to twinge across the middle, but now sometimes I get a sharpish pain down the inside below the actual knee joint. especially after doing the garden. Yours sounds very painful.......perhaps you have pulled something if your foot is affected?
Off to bed now.......haircut in the morning, then off to our favourite carvery for lunch!

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Dull again today. I am really getting fed up with this weather now. It sis so depressing..............................
Hope the knee is better today Frank. I must admit to kneeling a lot this week up on the border as I have been mainly doing the front weeding. One day after I had been up there my knees were very stiff the next day and when I go to get up I have to do it very slowly and then straighten my back out slowly too. Sometimes I am lucky and oh comes up to say it is coffee time and gives me a lift up!!
Kim hope you are not in such pain today and can feel a little better.
Ann it sounds as though you had a nice day even if it was raining. Have you been there before or was this your first visit? Enjoy your carvery today. I shall be thinking of you as it is years since I have been to a carvery and never with oh.

Hi Everyone! Well, we have really settled into our new chalet very well. Most things are now 'up and running',and 'goods and chattels' are slowly being found permanent homes! The 'dreaded' caravan is now 'up for sale', and although it served us very well, I shall be glad to see the back of it! No veg except for a few runner beans; We simply haven't had time to get the Greenhouse going, so all that will have to wait till next year. Dentist tomorrow, two fillings for me and a crown for 'him'! As you would say Frank, "More expense"!!!

Morning/evening all,
Had a good night with my knee/foot. The foot was most painfull, so smothered a load of cream on and ros put a bandage round it so it wouldn't get on the Bedcloths. Foot feels a lot easier this morning but the KNEE is throbbing like made. Have put plenty of cream on it and transfered the bandage. Useing my stick to get around.
Sorry you had the bad weather Ann, Hope it didn't spoil your day out. and it was me who mentioned KNEES
This weather is all MEL'S fault, it keeps coming from the SOUTH WEST.. Can't you try turning the wind around Mel LOL LOL
Jane Did you find the Hangers ???
Ros went out at 11 will be back at 4. She will do a stir fry when she gets home. I had an EGG AND BACON SARNIE for breakfast, so won't want any lunch

No Frank.......no hangars ! Where the devil did I put them :-S :-S.
We are still waiting for a call from Nationwi** about sending someone to investigate our wet .They did say it could be up to 72 hours!.But it means that one of us has to be in the house all the time in case they call. It's a blooming nuisance :-S :-S
Frank i think rest is the answer for your throbbing knee today. Are you able to take Ibuprofen or some other anti inflammatory?Or would they not go with your other meds?
Chester is being a right pain in the backside as I have just cooked a chicken and it is cooling on the side.I know it smells lovely but I don't keep whining and making silly noises all the time like he does lol

That's just Chester telling you dinner smells good Jane ....lol
I thought it was going to be sunny today, when oh when are we going to get summer.
I really enjoyed that programme last night, I would probably have ended up in the working class house too, but for all their proverty they seemed to have a happier, more together, family life than the other two families. No way could I have lived in the Edwardian middle class, too much of a rebel.
Hope you are being a good boy today Frank and resting that knee, a visit to the docs if it doesn't improve.
I think we have learned to enjoy our days out whatever the weather or in spite of it. Glad you had a good day Ann and enjoy your meal today.
I have contingency plans, if the weather is bad I've got things I can get on with indoors, my tax return for one thing, can't keep putting it off, IF it's nice I shall get in the garden, grass needs cutting. Have lots of roses out now, but like Shirl. have to stick my nose right in to get a whiff. I have a beautiful one a friend bought me when my mum died, she thought it better than flowers or a wreath that would be long gone by now, it has deep red flowers, my mums favourite colour.
Sounds like that leak maybe a big job Jane, I did mention mine to son who said he would try and get over meanwhile I will just have to keep mopping the water up, it's not like it's a great puddle in the middle of the kitchen.

Maureen I think it supposed to be horrible weather tomorrow :-S.So that's your Tax Return sorted :-D I have to get Chris to the station in the morning for the 7am train so no lie in with my book. Then the House Alarm people are coming to service it in the afternoon.I will have to be in for this long awaited phone call.Mind you if it is wet and nasty I won't want to be going anywhere.
I have the fan on behind me at the moment .I'm so sticky :-S Another shower this evening I think.I slept so badly last night. My right hip was giving me a real pain right to my shin.I tossed and turned and moaned and groaned.Took some painkillers about 4am and then it was time for all the birds to wake up,right outside the windows.Dear little things :-| So I won't be late up tonight. Just nipped to Tes** to take back some shorts for James and they have a half price sale on.I got him to great shirts for his holiday(grandad style with no collar) He has just tried them on and they look smashing. I need to go and dish up his dinner now as he is off to work at 6

Afternoon Everyone,
Well it has been glorious sun nearly all day here, but so humid and sticky!!
It has to be said that it hasn't been my finest day today!!! lol :-S I went to the hairdresser this morning as it was in my diary, but they usually text reminders but hadn't this time. I said I THOUGHT I had an appointment to be on the safe side.......'no you haven't' was the answer, 'it's NEXT week'!!!! lol. Got home and checked my diary and I had put an appointment in for today as well as next week!! It gave OH a snigger, but not for long!! :-D We decided to go to the carvery in seperate cars as OH had some errands on the way home and I wanted to go on to 2 garden centres in the opposite direction afterwards. OH told me to set off first and pick a newspaper up to read for when we got there and that he would see me inside. Well, all went well till I pulled into the carpark and parked my car and locked it up, then noticed OH's car didn't seem to be there and thought he must have set off later. I got halfway across the car park and the penny dropped! I was at the WRONG carvery!!!!! We usually go to this one on a Friday and then go to MIL's. OH HECK I thought, I'm 7 miles cross country from where I should be and not sure of the best way to go. I tried to ring OH, but there was no signal where he was, so I just stepped on the gas a bit on the straight bits of the lanes and managed to pick up the right road. When I got there he was on his second cup of tea!!! When I told him where I'd been, he laughed like mad.......don't think I'll live this down very quickly!! :-D :-D I didn't get anything at the garden centres, but the chap who owns one of them did take me a tour of his garden to show me his Acers.....beautiful. Then when I got home I couldn't get into our drive as there were big trucks parked in the way delivering fencing, so had to wait.
I forgot to say yesterday that I saw a Muntjac deer on a roadside verge in Gloucestershire. It shot into the hedge as we approached, but I have never seen one in the wild before, although I have read that we even have them in Leicestershire now.
Think I will get a nice cuppa now and fetch the washing in.........

James is a lucky son to have mum find him some good bargains for his hols! I hope he is taking good care of your car. :-D
Liz, it must be great to have things falling into place after all this time. It must feel more like 'home' now. I bet you will be glad to see the back of the caravan too!! lol You will be in a much better position for growing things etc next year having got the chalet sorted. There is only so much a body can do isn't there

Evening everyone,
Phew what a muggy day !! we've been to the coast today and its just as muggy there too, no sea breeze , and no sun , plenty of holiday makers about.
DIL came home last night , the little ones were still up and were very excited ,we called round this morning for our first cuddle :-D :-D she is so tiny ,she looked so much bigger on the photo's :-D She has a lot of dark hair ,its all frizzy on top and quite long round the back of her head . We called at Matal*n and bought Chelsea and Katie a pretty summer dress each and they even had one for Lacey in the same pattern , we got Jake some shorts and a new top ,its costing a fortune now there's four of them!! :-D
Oh Congratulations Auntie Jane ,dear little William , looks like he has got some dark hair peeping out from under his little hat bless him, hope his mum can spend time with him with all the treatment she has to have ,its so sad .
Oh Ann, you'll never live that down LOL .....who was it needed the memory pills :-D :-D My friend has a beautiful garden ,but those blessed Muntjac's have stripped the plants bare of any new shoots that appear ,she has been trying to plant up with plants that they don't eat ....they come right up to the windows and look in!! last week her neighbour had a marksman there to try and kill some ,they are a real pest ,her gardener found a dead one down the bottom of her garden ,he buried it but the next week some thing had dug it up and had been eating it , probably a fox ,she has tried all sorts to get rid of them ,they can easily jump a six foot fence !!
Frank, hope the pain in your knee and foot has eased a bit ,you'll have to rest up for a day or two, its been good weather for sitting out with your book !!
I heard on the radio that people were waiting for up to three hours in their cars to get into the Royal Norfolk Show !!! good job we didn't decide to go today :-S

Oh I missed your Post Liz!.You must be so relieved now after all this time to be settled at last :-D.You both must be tough cookies .Now you can enjoy your new home and hopefully relax a bit.
Ann he is a sweetie isn't he.I thought he would have much darker skin as Mum is Black (am I allowed to say that)? and my Nephew is half Ceylonese. But Janice said he may go darker. No he certainly doesn't look early but he is having drugs to help his lungs develop fully. He is doing fine though. As for Mum Janice said something last night about maybe the possibility of surgery.I am assuming that would be on her Liver, but don't really know yet.I think it will be an uncertain future though at the moment. It is just so sad that the cancer has come back.
Chris has just said he thinks he could do with a bath to ease his aching muscles after digging and pulling up roots. He has a long day in London tomorrow. Our Bath takes forever to fill .It is one of those 'P' shaped ones and our water pressure is hopeless so it could take a while lol

It's a shame it wasn't a bit fresher on the coast Mandy. Still I expect it would have been heaving with people if it had been sunny.
I can just imagine the 2 girls and their matching dresses being thrilled there was one for their baby sister too! I bet Jake was pleased with his new outfit as well. I hope you have some deep pockets Mandy.....like you say more expensive for 4! Yes, methinks I will have to double up the order for memory powders!!!!! lol :-D He's not going to let me forget this is he!! lol
I had heard that Muntjac were a pest down south, but I hadn't realised just what a nuisance they were Mandy. Flippin heck, they are almost impossible to keep out of your garden if they can jump like that! I thought they just ate grass as well. They'd better not get in Jane's garden or it will be venison pie if Chris sees them.
What a nuisance getting hip pain when you want to get to sleep Jane. I wonder if it is all the weeding you have been doing just set it off or moving stuff in the garage.
Sorry you are down in the dumps Sheila..........think you need a trip to the cinema on Saturday.......that will cheer you up. How is your leg now?

Well still feeling rough my tooth broke today and cannot get it seen to until this coming Friday at 2pm.
I have had a really sore dry mouth coupled with a red sore in the corner of it and a dry mouth which makes me want to drink all the while. It is all the of symptoms my diabetic state even though I am taking my medication which was increased recently .
I have a burning sensation in my chest and altogether feel dreadful. I think also my nerves are very strained.
I am glad you like my dog picture. Teddy was a beautiful doggie just wish he had been given a better life. I took him away for a little holiday then he died. I do miss him. I might get some comfort that Liz is going to the dentist I hate dentists it will mean the loss of more teeth. Proberly a new denture life at the moment is making me feel very old and ugly.
Please tell me what to do Mohsen is back in Birmingham we have no address and I want to kill him Michelle is gutted she got his flight details and the coach back here details on her web because he went to her bank and took out a loan. Not with her money she stopped all that. But I cannot stop thinking of him and wishing I could see him and hurting inside because we got him over here now he is with someone else and poor Michelle and myself are forgotton. I expect he is up to some nasty little doings. He is obliged to come back after six months or they revoke his right to remain but he still uses our postal address for everything. We were just getting over him but just knowing he is back in Birmingham upset Michelle and made me sad . I was in tears earlier and said to Shell why did you tell me he was back. Michelle said because I need your support also.
Beryl was here she is not very nice about me feeling unwell and the four of them were in the shop her and daughters all dressed in pink leather for the Tomcat group playing at the pub tonight. my ho and I were in the shop and they were running down some young lady who came in the shop. Then they were saying they wanted a new name for the group My hubby said why dont you call yourself the four cats suitable for you lot dont you think. I had to walk out and offer them a cup of tea I wanted to laugh. They are doing one number tonight RunAwaySue. I told my husband he said Oh well if there is a Sue at the pub she will run away when she listens to them.
I manage to listen to a bit of the song and they were singing it ok then Elvira suddenly started jumping up and down singing dooby dooby do in the back ground.
April phoned and she said Shermans got chicken pox .She said he looks so spottie and all covered in white stuff . I hope they will keep away for a while.
Mandy it is good you do not have a water shortage but where is the sunshine.
I have been watching Wimbledon I thought Murrey played well under the guidence of Lendal . Sopfia calls him lentil her diet is doing well she lost a stone with her gastric band I keep saying do not say elastic band and it is working. But the session at the gym did not work very well she was on the running machine and she fell backwards hurt her back .
I thought your holiday sounded very nice Franki hope I can get myself fit for Ireland Will read the threads later .
