Afternoon All.

Glad you managed to get out for the nice lunch Kim.......had to chuckle at your daughter being like the cat!!! lol.

My sister's eldest had a different father and when he was a toddler I said to her she aught to tell him when he was about 6-8 years old and she said she would. She never did though and he found out when he was in his 20s causing him to be very upset at not being told before. I think things cooled between them after that and she doesn't see him as often as she did.

More garden duty this morning........another day or two and the tricky bits will be finished I hope. Then I can put the lump hammer for trimming the rocks away and get down to some planting! :-D I must have arms like Popeye's now with all this hauling the rocks about!! I keep adding to quite a little nursery on the raised beds and they are itching to get out of their cramped pots. OH is at his dad's now, no doubt with his parents standing over him and getting in the way while he tries to mow, strim and weed. :-( He is going to try again to get them to put bark between the shrubs to suppress the weeds.

I'm sure our postman puts them in the wrong letterbox to save time too Frank. It is very odd too now that we either get a whole load of post or nothing. I'm sure they aren't delivering every day!!

I can report that Pat is having a great holiday as I can see her posts on Facebook. I don't know that it's THAT good though as she is commenting on MY Facebook posts!!!

The kitchen carpet saga seems to have be finally resolved today, the fitters have just left. I did remark that if they come back one more time I might have to start charging them rent! When I've got the furniture and everything resolved for the third and final time, I shall report all the troublesome details for you on here. Better go re-assemble the table or it's dinner on the floor for us. . . .

At last I'm here :-DMy screen has been flashing like nobody's business today so I kept it turned off.It seems ok at the moment so thought I'd get a quick hello in now just in case it has another wobbly.Chris got the screen back to normal for me last night but now it has shrunk again :-S :-S

I have a real nasty feeling we have a big damp problem :-S :-S.The kitchen wall that backs onto the garage.I know we have damp in the garage,butChris kept insisting it was to do with condensation from the dryer and Freezer.I don't believe that to be the case.If it is that ,then easy to deal with ,but I have pulled of some bits of wallpaper as Chris is planning to do the kitchen at the weekend.But the wall and another is really quite wet,and I don't think we should even consider decorating until we find out the cause.
I can see us having words about this as i have been mentioning it for months.

Hannah is coming home tomorrow as she has a meeting with the finance chap at CAB.The house has finally sold and the Mortgage people have sold the debt on to a Debt company.I won't say what she owes but she was in floods of tears on the phone.Just all overwhelming for her :-S.So she arrives tomorrow evening for a meeting on Friday morning.I think she will be drained after that so will suggest we go off somewhere for lunch (if she fancies it)

Kim it sounds as you had a lovely time with your visitors.Glad you were able to get out for the lunch :-D

Well tomorrows weather looks a washout :-S Frank we have problems with next doors weeds growing through that fence in the front garden.They just never look after things at all .It's like they have blinkers on and cant see what our side looks like because of their overgrown hedge shrubs weeds etc etc etc .They don't give a s*** really :-S
There I have now had my grumble too Frank :-|

Spent half the morning clearing up the lawn after Chester.He had a bit of a dickie tum.Not easy to pick up :-S :-S and Chris wants to mow the lawn when he gets in .Don't think he would be to chuffed if I had left everything lol
I had a lovely play with the hosepipe and Chester (now we don't have the ban).He just loves it.I think he is a bit pooped now lol
Now I suppose I had better muster up the enthusiasm again to get something for dinner.I do get fed up trying to think what to have.I sound like a right misery don't I lol.I'm not really :-D :-D :-D

Jane I'm with you, on what to have each day for meals. Tonight, it is PASTA with onions, mushrooms (all chopped up) and chopped up bacon. It will make a change and as the weather is warm NOW. it will make an easy meal to cook. A little Mayo will finish it off.

William I must look at face book and see what she's up to.

Next door have come home, but no mention of what I have done, I think they would be ashamed to mention anything. Will have to see how things progress.!!!

I hope the info I offered to resize your window was of use.

What a lovely day its been , sunshine all day and really hot.

Mel , i didn't realise that little plant i bought has a perfume, will have to go out and have a sniff :-D

We managed to park near the hospital this morning , got there at twenty to ten ,hubby's appointment was at ten .....we were all done and out of the hospital by ten minutes to ten !! how good was that :-D you get the result at the time and everything was fine .

Thanks for the photo's Pat and Fiona,the extensions really coming on well now Fiona, soon be roofed in by the look of it .

Jane, that wet wall doesn't sound too good ,is the water coming down the wall from above ? is the shower above ? it only needs a little hole in the grouting or seal round the shower tray for water to escape.!!
Poor Hannah , i thought the house problem was all sorted , i suppose the Debt Company will want their cut now !!!

DIL got on well at the hospital,its all go for Monday and if everything goes well she and baby could be home on Tuesday !! that quick .
Hubby treated us all out to tea at Weatherspo*ns ,all full up now and it was nice not to have to cook .
Hubby has next week off work ,we are having the children on Monday for the day while son is at the hospital, then we will have a few days out and about if the weather is ok, its not looking too good for the next few days.

We had ants just outside the back door the other day David , a quick spray Ant Stop did the trick.

Frank we will be having your meal tomorrow lol.As Hannah won't arrive until just after 8 it will be an easy meal to do.

William I hope you managed to get your table in time for dinner.I haven't eaten from the floor in donkeys years lol.Knees and hips would groan if I had to do that nowadays :-S
Decorating is definitely OFF now.Chris agreed grudgingly yes we need to get the damp checked out.He now wonders what he is going to do with his week off !!!!! I suggested spending some time with his wife :-D :-D :-D

Mandy .Don't think it is anything to do with shower.I think it is coming up from under ground.Chris has just gone off and said don't talk to me tonight :-S.He is looking up all our policies . :-S :-S,Haven't had dinner yet :-S Tummy rumbling lol I will dish up in 5 minutes if he is ready or not.
I'm thinking I need to ask next door for access to look at our side wall and air bricks.We can't see it unless we go there.They are not the easiest of neighbours :-S :-S.I bet their bloo** weeds are blocking everything lolol

Another wet dark morning.I didn't want to get up so had a little longer with a 3rd cuppa and my book.
Just having some toast now before I start scrubbing the bathroom :-P

Cloudy this morning but dry at the moment. Rained a lot yesterday afternoon right into the evening and through the night.

Thursday again and past the longest day. All down hill from here on and where has our summer gone????????????????? Must have been in May and I suppose thats all we are going to get :-( :-(

Fish and chips were quite nice yesterday and did'nt give me indigestion.

I agree with both Jane and Frank about what to get for dinner. I love a roast but oh dos'nt he would rather have rice or pasta and I am not so keen on those things. I don't mind rice with a curry or chilli but not every day. As to pasta....... alright with a spag bol but I am not going to eat it all the week. Still I suppose it is the same for him because I would eat roast teddies every day if I could.

Morning one and all,

I slept like a log last night. In bed by 11,30. woke at 7.00 had a pee and went back to sleep, woke up to a cup of tea on my bedside cabinet. 9.15

Dank sort of day, by the look of the bird baths, it rained a lot in the night. After we had finished planting out yesterday, I went out with the hose in the evening. as they needed some water. Now they are perked up with all the rain as well. Very warm out. I just walked down the garden in my dressing gown and I am baking.

Shower and shave in a minute, then shorts, and may be T shirt.

I have got some Turkey steaks out for tonight, They can go in ther Oven, Fresh peas,Cabbage, Cauli, Broard beans, and carrots. Not forgetting new Potato's

Jane is coming down later this afternoon, and taking Ros to M.K. Julia bought Ros some nice shoes she liked from the WEB. To small, So they are going to change them, and have a look around. ANY EXCUSE !!!

Mel, I know your OH dosen't like you receiving e-mails, but I thought that one was worth a read. I won't bother you with the JOKES.

What a wet old morning , DIL was soaked when she came this morning , i did offer to go and pick her up , the heavens opened up as she got here .
Now the sun is trying to shine, and its so humid here , will end up with a storm no doubt .

The rain was so bad its pulled the honeysuckle down away from the wall , i did notice the trellis was broken , i've now propped it up with the linen prop !!so i hope it holds until hubby comes home , he'll be pleased another job for him to do :-S :-S

I want to have a look and see if there's anything i can print off ,like colouring pages or posters , for the little ones to do when they come on monday .

Not much to report here, but some good news. That young neighbour we all thought was dead is alive. Sadly no one knows where she is, not with her father or the mother. Her grandparents are very worried. At least she is alive; I hope she is safe and has somewhere warm to live.

Jane so glad you are going to get some expert help with the dampness before doing any other work. Glad hubby saw sense, lol.

Naughty me, only meant to spend half an hour on here but have caught up with all the posts over the last couple of days and have been on here for a couple of hours. I'm right in the middle of giving the kitchen a good clean. I've got a leak too Jane in the kitchen. Can't work out where it's coming from but it's coming up through the flooring. Thought it might be the dishwasher so have had that on but no, water seems to appear in the evening even when I haven't had the dishwasher or washing machine on. Son won't be too happy when I tell him. Did you get your wallpaper for the kitchen.

A new little granddaughter Mandy, it does make life easier with a C Section, imagine if the baby decided to come in the middle of the night and they had the other children to sort out, probably be knocking on your door in the early hours. At least this way they can be organised. It's my Son-i-l's birthday on Monday too.

I love that photo of Teddy Sheila, he looked such a sweet little dog.

Children do say the funniest things, I remember mine, when little, asking me if it was all horse and carts when I was a child ..... I'm not that old .....

Daughter and new s-i-l are sunning themselves in Mauritius, just a coincidence but my eldest daughter went there for her honeymoon more than 20 years ago.

Didn't get Pat's photos, could someone pass them on please. the extension is coming on really well Fiona, how much extra space will that give you when it's done.
