Kim, Nice to hear from you, NOW TAKE THINGS EASY. Glad you like the jokes/photo's. as they come in this end I always forward them on. Some are a bit near the mark, so I don't send them on. !!!

It's turned out great weather here, Blue sky's and white fluffy ones. Ros has washed ann the bedding, and is blowing on the line. I am sat out in my shorts, reading my book. Ros has popped into town to get odds and so#s and buy a new bottom sheets, the ones we have are starting to wear, fidget ar#e in bed, alweays tossing and turning. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Mel thanks for your kind offer. I think it will be some time yet before I get round to doing it. Last time I tried to get duck weed off the water I FELL IN up to my waist. I might wait till on of the boys are free, and I can get a pump to empty it.

I felt down into the potato bags this morning, there are quite a few nice small ones. Are they ready to gather yet or should I wait a few more weeks. Come on you PERCY THROWERS, help me out :-D :-D

Sheila that is a lovely pic of Teddy. How sad that he died :-(.
I am going to have to leave any more posts until after Chris comes home as my screen page or whatever it's called has gone really small and it too annoying to use right now.I can't fathom out how to stretch it back out so it covers the whole width of the screen.

Sheila I was about to say what a nice picture you have on your posts now but I see Jane has beat me to it. Was'nt lovely.........and so sad that he died.

Jane look at the top of your page, you should have a - then two screens overlapping and then the x on a red background. try clicking on the two screens and see if that works. You may have clicked on it by mistake.

Been up the border but it started to rain so I came back down the house to get the washing in. Made oh a cuppa coffee and I have got boiled water. I have had indigestion since yesterdays stir fry. A pain in my throat and I keep burping....................taken two rennie and they hav'nt worked.

Evening everyone,

Its been a really warm day here ,lovely sunshine all day .

I seem to have developed a chesty cough now!! must get rid of it before the new baby comes .

Ann, that's an awful lot of houses to be built near you ,nearly a little village that amount !!

Sheila , that's a lovely photo of your little dog , you do miss them when they're gone ,its very hard as they are part of the family .
Our hosepipe ban has been lifted Sheila , we thought we might fill the Spa in a couple of weeks time ,all we need then is some nice sunshine.

Hubby has to go for his AAA screening tomorrow at ten o'clock ,then we are having the girls here at lunch time while son takes DIL to hospital for some blood tests and checks ready for monday , but who knows she might go into labour before then :-S :-S

Is the Pineapple tree very big Frank ? i planted a Pineapple Lily bulb in a pot and thats now coming up.

I bought a pretty little plant today i think its called Isotoma some thing !! pretty little blue flowers.

Evening All,

It's been a lovely sunny day here again.........I hope Pat is getting plenty too (sun I mean!).

This new housing development will be massive Mandy, the size of a town like Market Harborough. At a rough count on the plan it will use over 70 fields!!! There will be 3 schools, supermarkets, industrial units as well as over 4000 houses. Nothing this size has been built anywhere else around the city. Two of the roads from it will be onto a winding lane that is so narrow that you have to squeeze into the hedges when a vehicle comes the other way. This is the second public consultation on it. The land is near the roman Fosse Way where the foundations of a roman villa have been found and many other artifacts, coins etc and the remains of saxon roundhouses. I think we will end up as a suburb of the city!! I'm sure it will go ahead in some form Jane. The local council rejected it, as they did the one for the houses in the field close by. They were overuled on appeal though.

Sheila it sounds like you have been in the wars! You must be fed up of bits of you hurting......hope you are soon feeling a bit better. You need a trip to the cinema!! The new pic of Teddy is lovely.

I rang the people today who fitted the troublesome toilet 6 years ago. No problem, they will give me a ring before they come and fix it!! :-D They were a bit disappointed at the plumber leaving it like that.

That duckweed is a curse Frank!! We used to get it in the pond at my previous house. I'm sure the frogs, toads and newts would bring it into the pond stuck to their bodies because we had none the first couple of years. It is a shame you lost your fish.

How exciting Monday will be then Mandy! :-D I wonder what names they have in mind for the baby. I bet the other children have some ideas of their own!! I could never even think of names to call my dolls. lol What is the AAA screening your hubby will have?

Fiona there must have been some progress if the joiners are in now!

MillymollyAmanda Report 19 Jun 2012 21:36

The football is on :-S i,ve been reading my book, although i did have a look as they scored :-D

Ann, the AAA screening is Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening ,its to see if there is any expansion or weakening of the main blood vessel in the body.
Its at a little cottage hospital in Swaffham about a ten to fifteen minute drive away from us ,and we've heard there is not much of a car park!!!
Not sure if its a new thing they're doing as he's not been offered it before.

The week before last he did the Bowel screening thingy and that came back all clear.

No baby names yet, i do keep asking :-D

That's good about getting the loo pipe done ,less expense for you !!

That sounds a good check to get Mandy. I think one of OH's uncles died because of an aneurism. At least in a small hospital it is easier to find your way and less walking!

That is a pretty little plant you have bought. I lost one of my Acers last winter and went looking for a replacement today. I want one of those maroon feathery ones that cascade down. I did find one but it was quite large and cost £59.99!! Think I will look elsewhere.

It will be nice to have your spa in action again....I still have my pic of you 'chilling' in it! lol

Jane it is good the doc was able to reassure Fitz, that's 2 of you that have told him now! I hope you don't get summoned while he is away! :-|

I took a top back to B*S today and forgot the receipt as I hadn't checked it was in the bag. Anyway it wasn't a wasted journey as they have a big sale on at the moment so I had a potter round like you do. Then I heard a familiar voice.......a friend who sits next to me in the jewellery classes had copped me looking at the bead necklaces! lol.

It should be another good day tomorrow so it will be another stint in the garden I think. OH is off to do his dad's garden in the afternoon then going on to meet a chap who used to work for him years ago. He noticed in the paper the other day that he has just been awarded an OBE.

Or you could go to the lower right had corner just below where you would scroll left or right, immediately above the task bar,you will see 100% (or in your case it may be smaller) C
Click on there and you can make the window larger.

Hello everyone,

Frank they can be as close to the mark as you like, takes a fair bit to offend me, lol.

Sunny, but very cold and that chill wind.

My brother and his wife called in announced on Saturday and stayed for about 4 hours. I was very happy to see them and we had lots of laughs, but a bit of notice would have helped. There I was dragged out of bed - pj's, dressing gown and dirty hair. Oh well people must be used to it by now. Had coffee and some nice cakes; have not seen them since last September.

Had a really lovely lunch with Keith's cousin at the Wyong Golf Course. Upped my meds. to get there, so had just enough in the tank to have a shower and get dressed. The sun was shining and we had a table overlooking the greens. Beryl is such a lovely woman, lost her hubby last October and just arrived from a trip to Canada and Alaska and on her way back to Darwin. She will be moving back to Victoria at Christmas, so we might just get to see more of her from then on. She is related to mum via my maternal g.grandmother, but I have found I am also related to the Sheppards when they were in Northern Somerset, before the family went to Ireland.

She let out a few family secrets, hilarious as I had been told a completely different version by Keith's father, bless the old devil's soul. Ah the skeletons, lol. I love them all. ;-)

Still haven't caught up with all the posts apart from Shirl's back playing up and poor Sheila being in such pain. I get so far behind with everything, so not meaning to be ignorant or not commenting. I will get there.

It seems Pat has left for Yorkshire. Hope they are all having a great time, including Mocha.

Will BBL 5.43 pm EST

Belated Happy Father's Day for all the dads on here. We have ours in September.

Hi Kim and morning All,

Another sunny start so must get te old washing machine into action. Must take advantage of the weather while we have it dry as it is supposed to go back to rain again by the end of the week.

Was'nt at all well yesterday. I just could'nt get rid of the indigestion and went to bed earlish for me. I had a pain right in my middle!

Jane hope you manage to make your screen bigger today so you can read the posts ok.

Oh's hover mower has bit the dust! He is cross as he has only had it a few years and the exhaust valve bit has cracked all round so it will be MORE EXPENCE to buy a new one as he dos'nt like using the other new one to do the orchard with all the tree roots sticking up and then the apples in the autumn.

Kim it sounds like you had a good time even though you did'nt know your company was coming. How are your cats?

Cats not too bad Mel, put flea treatment on the older girl and she is most unhappy. You can't keep them content all the time. Will have to do the other girl tomorrow, she tends to scratch and hiss at me, just like my daughter, lol. ;-)

Frank Report 20 Jun 2012 11:13

Morning all,

Not very nice here this morning, very cloudy, and looks like rain (a day early)

Mel, Conrad goes through MOWERS like hot cakes. He has been in his house 8 years and is on his FORTH mower. One was mine (ALOMOST NEW) one Jans daughters, now two of his own. The lasest only a couple of weeks ago. He hasen't got a massive lawn, so it's not the wear and tear.

Are you still SMALL this morning Jane, poor little thing. At the top right hand corner of the page. That little oblong. CLICK ON THE MIDDLE ONE that might do it ????

Hope Pat is enjoying Yorkshire. Haven't been there since my younger years. When I went to Bradford with my EX to visit her "AUNT AND UNCLE" who she and her Mother stayed with during the Blitz on London. We did all the places by BUS. Knaresborough, Ilkey Moor, York Minster Blackpool. Etc. Scorching hot 2 weeks in 1955/6 They remained friends with that family till they died. There were some good people who took Families in. You know about mine.!!!!

Kim, It will be nice if your relation gets to live closer to you, be a bit to talk about also,

I was 22, before I found out my THREE eldest siblings. Were not my Fathers Children. You can imagine the shock that was to me :-0 :-0 :-0

Ros in out the front garden starting to weed, ready for the new plants to go in, I had better go and show willing and try to help, I know she will send me back indoors, out of the way.

MEgirl

MEgirl Report 20 Jun 2012 11:53

Morning Frank, yes she will be a little closer. We can compare notes. Yes I can imagine what a shock that would be; was 14 when I found out my brothers were from another father. Took me a while to forgive my parents for keeping me in the dark. So much easier if you are younger, kids accept more readily if it is explained honestly.

Love the photo of Teddy Sheila. He was a lovely little boy. How you must miss him.

Have just had words with my Postie. We had letters delivered to the wrong house yesterday. It appears he (our regular) was on other duties and we had a relief. He supposedly regulary post letter for 3/4 address's through one letter box. It saves him time !!!!. I've been asked to complain to the Royal Mail, as Adam gets all the stick from his customers. He's been with up for 14 years and is spot on with his delivery.

I have just filled in the complaints form, and will await their answer. It's not so bad when it's Junk mail, but hospital business and Bank statements is a different thing.

I have spent two hours bended over the garden, weeding and being allowed to put plants in. I'm top of the class now !!! I've also been on my Neighbours side and with the "HALF MOON" tool, cut down his side of the lawn and taken out, thistles, dandelions, clover chickweed. He now has an edge to his lawn for when he mows, he never cuts the boarders, and the grass/weeds grow into my flower beds The next step will to get my weed killer out (THAT WILL DO IT FOR A WHILE) It's so annoying when you spend a lot of time and money keeping your garden looking nice, when you have a LAZY neighbour who only cuts his lawn and nothing else. The grass between his drive are thegrass( seed darts) we use to through at each other as kids and they stuck to your cloths/hair.. They are about 12" high and look horrible. I will have to srpay them, when they are out. MOAN OVER FOR NOW>
