Jane Report 11 Jun 2012 18:22

Just spoke to Janice. They had a fantastic day yesterday on the Narrow Boat.Sun shine all the way :-D.She said it was just the best day ever. One problem after they had stopped at a Pub.They tried to turn around and got wedged under a tree lol.Everyone came out of the Pub to see the chaos. She said the wildlife was wonderful.Saw Kingfishers ,Herons and all sorts.
Everyone was totally exhausted by the end of the day and all slept like logs last night.
She could do with an early night tonight ,but they are going out for a meal with friends who have come home from Thailand. It is a casual affair so no dressing up needed, for which she is so grateful lol

We are out tomorrow evening for a meal. One of the Partners at the Surgery is moving to Australia so it is her farewell do.
Just Pasta and sauce tonight for us with some garlic bread.Strawberries and Raspberries for pudding.

Glad the day on the boat went well Jane, apart from when they got stuck !!
Why is it everyone has to come and have a nosey on others misfortunes !!,i bet they had lots giving them advice on how to do turn it .

I'am off to school on wednseday !! well taking Jake and Chelsea to school while DIL goes for a scan at the hospital, its a long time since i've been in a school playground!!
I must remember i'am too big now to go on the climbing frame and swing by my legs :-D :-D

I know we're not night clubbers on here ,but has any one got any idea where you can get the little bottle stoppers that you put in the top of bottles to stop the drink getting spiked ?

I have seen them online ,but wondered if anyone has seen them in the shops ? my friend wanted to get some for her grandaughter ,as she has her prom ball to go to and granny is worried about her drink getting spiked !!

Back to Bloomers.I wore them to school. It was the fashion in the mid 60's.I had some red ones with a little bit of white lace around the leg.The lace frill showed just below the school skirt. All the boys loved it :-D.Happy Days!

Now I need to dish up dinner. :-D

Fiona Report 11 Jun 2012 20:17

Sofia is to have glasses after all, seemingly it's quite a strong perscription for a little one, daughter's glad they have found out early enough before she starts nursery and school it means Sofia hopefully will be used to them before she starts learning. they will be ready for her at the end of the week :-)a little pair of pink ones Sofia's favourite colour :-D

Annx Report 11 Jun 2012 21:00

That's good they found out Sofia needs glasses now as you say Fiona. They only found that OH needed them when he couldn't read the blackboard. I asked him once whether he minded wearing them at such a young age and he said as soon as he realised he could see properly with them he didn't mind one bit! I bet she will love her little pink ones. :-D

Has the doc said what is causing the headaches Fiona? You seem to have been getting them for a long while now.

Maureen, I hope there are some sunny spells for your daughter on Saturday. Look forward to seeing a few pics!I hope your shoes will have eased a bit more by then as well. Pity you couldn't get some of those liquid lolly tubes that you freeze. If you packed a few of those in tight they would expand as they froze.

Jane, mucky books last night, now knickers...........whatever next! :-0 My gran and my first MIL wore bloomers too. First MIL just called them her passion killers!! lol. They would be on view every time she pulled a weed out in the garden and she was always doing that! Hers were bright red but grandma's were pink and silky and only seen on the washing line. Mandy I can't work out how tucking your skirt in would save your modesty. :-S Bloomers would be on show before you even tipped upside down then! I wouldn't do it.....the blood will rush to your head!! lol. Jane, the only ones I had in the 60s were very small and very thin.........a bit like I was then!! :-0 I'm glad Janice had a good time, well, apart from turning round. As Mandy says people always come to gawp and offer 'advice' (usually men!) if something goes wrong. I remember (60s again) quite a few times when parking in the city men would stop and watch you park between 2 cars because they thought you couldn't (being a woman I suppose!). They were disappointed .....used to feel like sticking my tongue out sometimes. lol.

It's poor Ros I feel sorry for.......Frank will be OK now.....like OH watching all the footie.

That doesn't sound like very helpful Kim if she's had a cough that long. You would have thought they would have given her some antibiotics or done tests wouldn't you. OH went to our doctors 3 times before they admitted him to hospital and found he had pneumonia. He didn't have a cough though.

Fiona Report 11 Jun 2012 21:23

Annx
Daughter no 2 was 8 years old when she got her first pair of glasses like your OH she couldn't see the blackboard.

The Headaches are due to tension, probably all the worry building up over the last few months about OH job and daughter no 2 work and all the building work , I get stressed about what problems with the building work that might arise while OH is away traveling so much, most of them I can't give a straight answer and have to phone OH or tell the workers to get the office to phone OH on his mobile

Going for a bath so I will say

night night

OM Goodness.Have just seen the biggest beautiful cat in the garden.I think was after the baby bunnies.Have never seen the cat before and as far as I know it doesn't live along this road.I wonder where it has come from??
Chris said "it's a fox" ....told him to put his specs on lol.It was a big silver fluffy faced one with a massive tail.A real Beauty :-D

Annx Report 11 Jun 2012 21:41

I can understand you feeling like that Fiona. I was in a similar position when we had workmen in doing the bathroom and kitchen and built in wardrobes. OH was always miles away (but at least in this country, not abroad like your OH) but sometimes you do need to get their agreement/ preference when workmen ask things. Workmen tend to think they are always handy to contact like they are too. Not always the case though when your OH is driving or in meetings!! A nice bath sounds relaxing anyway.

Off to bed too......backs giving me gyp today after moving heavy things in the garden yesterday. I hope the forecast is rightfor tomorrow and that it will be dry.....need to do some washing.

Night night........zzzzzzzzzz

Well it turned into a beautiful day here today so I did'nt go shopping.

Fiona glad the headaches are improving a bit. You need one of those massage cushions round the back of your neck.

Kim thats sounds awful about your daughter being given nothing for her cough. When I had one they sent me for a chest xray.

Jane I am so pleased Janice had a good day on the narrow boat. They usually have turning places on canals. Did they have to use the long poles provided for pushing yourself away from the banks.

You lot should have a better day tomorrow as we had a nice one today and we shall probably have rain so I will go shopping tomorrow.

Off for a shower now so will say goodnight all.
