Jane just been reading about Ethan poor Rachel having a cold this weather.
I love Long Lost Family. I watched it in the shop. One man came in and asked for a bottle of beer and I was so engrossed with the programme I gave him a bottle of milk. He said hey love what you doing trying to reform my drinking habit.
Liz a daughter going to the palace how lovely. Mel I have promised myself a reclining chair but not got it yet .I am fed up of lying in bed.
I like Englebert Uncledink but agree William he will not win with it I understand Sweden is the favourite. a very beaty noisy song with a strange lady repeating herself Then it will be Greece giving a vote to Cyprus the others there neighbouring countries so and so on.Look out for Jedwood though it may do well who knows Aunty will be pleased. This lady is trying to arrange a Jubilee party we offered some free drinks.

What a beautiful day. With the lawns cut and trimmed they look great.
Got my chair out with it's cushion and sat reading for an hour. The sun was hot, but what a lovely breeze, it was just perfect.
I don't think we are eating hopt tonight. Ros mad some HAM tomato, cheese, and salad rolls when we came back from town. about 2.pm. So might have a nibble later !!!!
Mel I have scaned the photo, and sent it. Not what I thought is was. Hope it's O.K. Have got loads of photo's and a bit of Woodford Bridge History. I could sent them onto you, for you to copy, and return. If you are interesterd.
Going to get a nice cold beer from the fridge. and watch the evening news.

Morning Flowers, Glad I chear you up.!!!!Our nibble last night Mandy was a Jacked Potato. with coldslaw, ham and cheese. I rubbed the skin in olive oil before baking it. The skin was out of this world. Nice and crispy with a great flavour . Home alone today. Ros is at a jewellry lesson, showing her how to use wire. Ann will know about that. It's on from 10.00 am till 4,00 pm
I've got a job of trying to dig out a shrub that has died. In it's place she has bought another plant. I'm not sure if I am allowed to put it in !!! It might be in the wrong place by a couple of inches :-D :-D :-D :-D and that would never do !!!!!
I bet the house will be quiet today Jane, Poor old Chester. SPRING is in the air. and can't do anything about it Lol lol
A neighbour, who I take any meat we have over for her old Labrador. BARNEY had just got a six week old POODLE (Henry) He's just a little darling. I bought him to our house for Ros to see, and she said tell her we are keeping him .. We have had three poodle, two of which had puppies, so it bought back some happy memories. We have offered to have him, if Lynn has to go out, and leave him for the day. I will be able to walk him round the block when he's a bit bigger.
Well I had better get started on my task. I got my old boots out of the garage and "A BIG BLACK SPIDER" came running out of one. Must like the smell. :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0
No Talant watching today, unless you can call 70 plus neighbour in her shorts EH Skin everywhere :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
See you all later.

Phew !! another Scorcher again.Hotter than yesterday I think.I have just taken off my bra.The darned things are far too constricting in this heat :-S
Yes Frank it is all quiet now. They left at 10 and should now be in Oxford.Rachel is totally exhausted and personally I think it is pretty mean of Darren to go off on the Stag weekend.I know it has been planned a long time but some things are more important :-| :-| . It was smashing to see them and we were so lucky to have this weather.Nice for them to be able to get out in the garden .It is too hot in Dubai now .Even the dogs can't be walked,so they have to use a treadmill in the house to burn up some energy lol I think it is time for a spot of lunch now and then a relaxing time with my book :-D :-D.

Afternoon everyone,
Yes another scorcher here too, and quite a wind , i have been outside for about half an hour just clearing up and that was enough for me ,had to come in for a cool off in front of the fan and a cold drink.
Hubby's at last putting some colour on the conservatory walls ,he is just in his shorts as the sun is really beating in, i keep replenishing his glass with cold drink.
Toby keeps going out to lay in the full sun, i put a garden brolly up for him to get some shade and he moved he is a daft old thing!!!
That sounded a very nice nibble you had Frank, just my sort of thing .
Oh more drink wanted . BBL

Frank I hope you have been behaving yourself on your own today and getting into any trouble :-D :-D :-D

Anyone watching the Eurovision Contest in a minute?I might, just to see Englebert.I think I heard he is on first!.I think it will all be as cringe worthy as normal :-S.But there is something that makes me watch.I remember when I was young Mum and I would sit and have our list of entrants and give our score for each.I think it is just about to start.Heaven knows when we will eat.It is just Pasta and sauce, but we aren't hungry yet.I think this hot weather saps the appetite. Here we go :-D

Evening all,
I dug out the bush this morning, and had a dizzy spell, ended up on my knees in the flower bed. I managed to get to the bird bath, and pull myself up. Got to my chair and sat for a while.
Went in doors, had another shower, as I was sweating like a pig. (do they sweat ???) Got dressed and went for a pint.
Ros finished early, and was home before 4.00 pm. She got changed and went in the garden, and cleared up the rest of the forgetmenots that I had left behind. She came in about 7.00 pm. I phoned for a Chinese for her. I had fish and chips. Didn't eat much, too hot.
Our friend Carolyn is coming for lunch tomorrow as her husband is away for the weekend. We won't eat till after 4.00 pm So we can have a sit in the garden before.
I'm watching football and Ros is watching Lord of the Rings. Can't be bothered with Euro.
Just got myself a nice cold beer.

I'M BACK!!!! :-D :-D :-D We had an absolutely fabulous time, and super weather. Got some lovely pics. We called at Mount Edgecombe on the south coast on the way home this morning. It has beautiful views of the estuary and lovely gardens.......didn't want to come home! On the way back it was showing 32 degrees in the car at some places .......and NO AIRCON!!!!!! It was just like the OLD DAYS, windows wound down, hair blowing everywhere, fan blowing like mad so you couldn't hear yourself speak. I took my sandals off and had my hands on my hips so the breeze could cool under my arms as we sailed along!!! lol.
Will catch up with the posts tomorrow, just going to dab aftersun on my very pink arms!! Night, night xx.

Morning everyone, beautiful day again.
We watched the E S C last, brilliant show and the City looked wonderful. As I predicted, Hump's cow song got us nowhere, no surprise there. There were a lot of good songs though (I hate to admit) and I loved the happy bouncy song of Malta. Sadly, and at the same time luckily, we just missed getting very last!
But we had a nice day here, our BIG grandson came over to visit after his mornings work and we had a lovely day together. His wife was away playing somewhere in the TA band. He came on his new motor scooter so he was proud to show that off to us. I was giving him memories of my days on two wheels. Fist as a pillion passenger to my brother who had several motor bikes. The last time was just before I went into the RAF when we toured the whole of France on his BSA 650cc Gold Flash. I started my two wheel experience with a little 2nd hand moped and passed my test on it in Hinckley. Then we moved on to Vespa scooters and joined the Vespa Club of Greta Britain where we helped run the local branch. We went everywhere on that bike, including our honeymoon touring Wales. I used to go up and down from the Midlands through London to Essex once a month to visit my parents, I wouldn't dare do that with todays traffic! We used to go the the big Vespa rallies. The one I recall best was the International Vespa Club rally in Roundhay park, Leeds. Gosh, that was some sight. I had two Vespa model's in all but then switched to a Isetta bubble car as we had a little family come along, and it was all I could afford at the time & I could drive it on my motor bike licence. (Photo, me with 2nd Vespa)
Anyone else got any early tales about their life on two, three or four wheels? I've got loads of tales about our life on 3 wheels I can share with you if you're interested.
