OH. I had one of my Indian friends on the phone this morning, I thought I would string him along :-D :-D :-D "Can I speak to Mr Frank Charles Bedford" I said who's calling. My name is ####### from HSBC FRAUD dept. Have you made a payment to Western Union for £475.45 ???? NO I said. Please Mr Bedford DO NOT use your card anymore. We will prepare you a new one and send it to you within the next 5/7 days. He checked what payments had been made on the card recenty, and all seemed O.K. So someone has tried to use my CARD. They have stopped the payment. THANK GOD. So the moral is, that these calls are not always a waste of time. !!!!

Ros is busy putting in the OLIVE TREES., She has been out and bought new pots. I have cut and trimmed the lawns. Everywhere is looking Great. I will have to plants up some hanging baskets for the "BLUE TREE" and buy some pouches for the front tree.

Dinner tonight is a Turkey Joint, Jersey Royals, peas, carrots, cabbage and Roast parsnips. I have made some stuffing also. We will think it's CHRISTMAS

Mandy I thought the trees were great value, and with a G'tee for 12 months. you can't realy go wrong. I will have to take Mel's advise and put them away for WINTER. if I can carry them. :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0

Looks like rain here, so i'm off for a cuppa.

Sheila Report 18 May 2012 19:51

Well today I was so fed up I stayed in bed until lunch time then thought hang it I am going out so I got into the car and drove off and had lunch in a Chinese restaurant and then went to the pictures to see Dark Shadows what a brill film it was,Johnny Depp a Tim Burton Film .it was the seventies and it was ghosty vampires.Karen Carpenter and Alice Cooper
all thrown into one film. I loved it. Does anyone remember the swinging basket chairs and the lamps with the blobs that moved in them and the little trolls with the long hair. it was all in it.

There was times it was graphic but done with a sense of humour and a really good funny story. What a great day out I had on my own. My leg ached like mad but I managed with sheer determination.
I love Tim Burton. Lucky Helen Bonham Carter being with him. she was in it she played a crazy doctor with red hair. I loved the house with the secret passages and just the whole effect. I would love to be married to Tim.

Kim how are you I am hoping to be able to contact you .I have been so bored in bed. I had a new keyboard for the computor.

Jane how is James doing in his job .

I can never eat much for dinner your meals sound lovely .

The weather is so dull and the house is so dark so depressing
Beryl will go mad when she finds out I went to the pictures without her but just wanted a peaceful afternoon.

Poor Ryan was mugged he drove down to a stores called Mulligans
he wanted some wine .Jess was preparing a lovely romantic meal candlelight the lot. Ryan stopped for some gasoline he said and went into a burger bar to get April a treble chukka burger she had not eaten all day. He came out walked across to his car and two guys with hoods jumped on him .One punched him in the stomach and he fell over
in pain. The other stole his wallet from inside his jacket pocket and then they jumped on a tri -cycle one of those with a seat at the back and streaked off. When Ryan got home from the police station neither he or Jess felt like eating. Jess phoned me and said mom I want to come home.

Ryan is making it up to Jess he is taking her to a revolving restaurant in New York city this week end. Good old Ry jumps straight back up. I do hope things improve.

Amanda thank you for answering my threads.
Beryl is crazy she did a nice still life drawing however but makes everything seem crude.

Well must go and rest my leg I have got out the leg massager. I hope I do not pay for my afternoon out.

So glad Fritz is feelibg better.Jane.

Amanda love Fuchia I have some nice bluebells pink white and blue funny they are all called blue bells .All planted when my mum died.

Well I'm pooped now......ready for a holiday!! :-D Just hope I've packed everything,( including warm things) except for the last bits and bobs in the morning. OH is a bit concerned we will run into THE TORCH as it starts on it's journey tomorrow! Bungalow is all clean and tidy which is a bonus and the greenhouse all watered and sorted. I so agree with you Mel. When I was at work I would clean top to bottom on a Saturday morning, then go out in the afternoon. Now I have to do it in dribs and drabs, body willing. lol I never have enjoyed doing it though, just the seeing it all done bit. I'm not really very good 'wife material' at all !!!!

Frank, it sounds like you will be picking your own olives!! I remember seeing Alan Titchmarsh moving his olives into the greenhouse for winter.

Your poor leg Sheila, hope it soon improves, sounds very painful. How awful for Ryan to get mugged like that. At least it wasn't any worse though and good that he hasn't let it get him down.

When my bank manager left a message on my phone for me to ring him on a mobile number, I wouldn't ring him on it as I didn't know his name and thought it might be a scam!! I rang phonebank and got them to confirm who he was and to put me through. :-D Well, fancy ringing me on a mobile and I told him so when I did speak to him!!!

FIL got the results of his xray this morning........he has broken a bone in his spine due to osteoporosis. I suppose at age 91 it isn't surprising he has osteoporosis, but he will have to be careful what he does in future. That's both of them that have it now.

Well, I'm off to bed now, don't suppose I'll sleep well....be thinking I've forgotten something.

Thank you for your good holiday wishes. I'm sure we'll enjoy ourselves whatever the weather throws at us and OH will be optomistic and cheerful whatever happens. There are lots of things to do and the lodge is very cosy and comfy so it will be a lovely break.

Night night....xx

Morning

Weather not toobad here today with watery sunshine which may mean it will be out fully later on.

Hope Ann and Gordon have a safe journey down to Cornwall today. Were they leaving early, does anyone know??

Planted my new strawberry plants in the little raised bed thing I bought and I have them on one of the beds in the tunnel. I bought a plastic greenhouse thing that takes three tom plants because I want the frame to put over the strawbs. I pout the plastic cover over it and it fitted fine but yesterday I thought that the bees cannot get in to polinate the flowers so shall have to find some of my netting to cover the frame with. I did have a whole roll but not sure if OH has used it for the pond!!

My Robin's have a new nest in my shed and I think they are feeding their second brood now. I still hav'nt seen any of their first brood since they left the nest. Think they disappeared into the box hedge never to be seen again.

Oh finished the blocks round the pond and is today stealing the gravel from the top garden to put along the ledge all round inside the pond to bring the level up for the planting shelf.

Must get on as I hav'nt been to the shop yet for the paper.

Morning All
Sinus's feeling a little better today,

Weather still dull and cold,
We are having a 1 story exstension built on the back of the house , just a bigger version of the side porch really, so the kitchen will have a small breakfast room area and the dinning room will be a little bigger, the workmen are due to start next week, same company who did the back porch. so there will be a lot of mess, at least I will know the men from the last time.

Daughter no 1 and family are well, and having a nice time in Italy but the weather is not as warm as they had hoped, they had to go and buy some warm clothes for Sofia as daughter only took T.shirts and shorts with her,

Morning to all my dear friends,

Had an enjoyable morning, watching the three services on parade at Windsor Castle.

When the Royal Marines played "A LIFE ON THE OCEAN WAVES" I had a few tears thinging of my Dad, a going through Tower Bridge, after a day with him on the "GOLDEN EAGLE" That tune was always played as the BRIDGE opened to let us in to dock.

Mel, I feel for you, but know what it is like. I have TWO of them. Whatever I have done to deserve this I don't know. They had all I could give them (LOVE) while with them. and my ex had a very large settlement from me in stead of Maintenence. In those days, it would have bought a house. They also saw me on a regular basis, and I never forgot Birthdays and Christmas's and regular treats. I have now given up on them.

Trust Ann finds some good weather down in Devon/Cornwall. She can leave it there for me, when I go in June.!!!!

Have been looking at Restaurants in the area. Rick Steins lunchtime menu is £37.00 perr person, evening meals would be around £50/60 per person. I would never sleep if I paid that much for a meal :-0 :-0 :-0 That could feed some families for a week. We will stick to PUB type food, where you get a good choice of fish/meat/pasta. There are 85 around Torquay/Paignton. So should find enough to keep me feed :-D :-D :-D

Dull, damp day here. Rain when I woke (had a bad night again) I slept for about three hours. This card business keept coming to mind. What cleaver BAST### managed to do that. !!!! Fortunately I drew some cash out this week, so won't need my card.

Down to the pub for 3 pm kick off WEST HAM V BLACKPOOL. in play off finals. I will either be a happy bunny or a misserable old sod, when I return. LOOK OUT ROS !!!!

Ros is out shopping with Martine, she will be home about 1.30/2.00 pm With more than we need, or want, as usual. plus some plants from Morroso#s lol lol

Hello everyone.

I can't read all your posts, sorry I just wouldn't remember what's been happening. I've got a cough and throat thing happening and lots of problems with the daughter that's dragging us all down. Yes Frank I did kick her out, but she came back 4 days later when she had no where else to stay.

A few of the girls have been sent packing, but have all returned home. We had one mum here tonight trying to find her girl. They have it too good, but it seems mine is the worst of the bunch. No easy solution. She wiped herself out at an 18th last night, sounded terrible on the phone and is staying at the boyfriend's tonight - the new boyfriend that is that we haven't met. I'm done - too tired for it all. So many tears over the last week, but no more!!!!!!

Just wanted to check in with everyone, thanks to Jane and Shirl especially appreciated your emails. Hugs back at you both. You have all been in my thoughts. Off to see what's on the box. Have a good weekend, hope your weather is improving. 9.35 pm EST
