Morning All.

Hope I dont lose this thread today.It is sunny here at the moment, we did have a lot of rain overnight,,Washing in machine..may get it dry before the rain we are promised again..
Had a blood test yesterday morning ..the day before I saw the doctor..Two early appointments onthe trot..Now I am waking up earlier lol.
I have got my hours changed at the charity shop..10 am start now for friday morning..Wednesday I work afternoons where I am in the shop ..Friday out the back sorting out..The things people donate..We are unable to put some things out...Simple things like tea light holders ..They still have to have their warning labels on the bottom..I bought a nice red glass one yesterday not to use but to put on my windowsill..Shines nice in the light..
The things we cant use are put in recylcling boxes...I bought 2 resin bears about a foot tall sitting on chairs ..they were dressed up old fashioned.They were put in the garden by my pond.

Done it again..Lost another post..Have 2 pages open so I can read and then post lol.

Start again. Jane..your poor eyes with the rape seed.I can remember the smell of that.It is very strong.What is the name of the plant that looks all blue in the fields..

Mel...I will try Savlon for mocha then..I did try cleaning slightly his ears after I noticed the smell. He is going to the vet tomorrow to just double check he doesnt have an infection..I did read with this type of the dog....because he has long ears that are getting longer all the while the air cannot get to them so they sweat.We are going to buy him another water bowl that will stop his ears getting wet..People also trim the hair around the ear drum..as well.Learning all the while..

That Rape is so strong this morning and with the wind it makes it worse.I never used to be affected like I am these days.
I think the Blue Plant you mention in the fields could be Flax.It looks so pretty doesn't it.

Dull and wet today, Have phoned to see if my new glasses are ready and have been told 1 pair are in and my spare glasses should come tomorrow, I had planned to go into town this afternoon but I think I will wait till tomorrow now when I will pick up both pairs of glasses , no point making two trips.

Haven't caught up with your posts. Having health and daughter issues and feeling terribly down, so not good company.

On a brighter note it has been 29 here today and again tomorrow; unbelievable for this time of year, not since 1941 have we had such a warm day in May.

Can't stop as oh has jobs for me this morning of clearing the patio as he is pressure washing it. I have to move all my plants off it and other junk!!

Lawns all done, Washing all dried.

I laid awake last night and thought of childhood memories. One that came to mind was My 2nd eldest brother JACK sang to my twin and I "SOUTH OF THE BOARDER" recorded by Gene Aultry in 1939. Jack would be in his army uniform, home on a weekends pass, and would take us to bed and sing us to sleep. I suppose I was abour 3 years old. The same brother came back from Malasia on leave, during the war and walked into our classroom, and asked if he could take us home early from school, again I could have only been 5/6 years old.

I wish this damn rain would stop, I can't wait to get on in the garden, it seems as though whenever I have any free time it's rain, rain & more rain.It even woke me up during the night & I couldn't get back off to sleep, I'm shattered ! early night for me tonight I think.

My son had to take my 4 year old grandson to Grandson to Gt Ormond St hospital yesterday for a heart scan. Since he had a very big operation there when he was only months old, they keep a check on various things with him. My son reported that the TV cameras were there yesterday, no doubt filming the BBC2 Gt Ormond St series. It will be interesting to see if I get a glimpse of them around the building.

The good news is that the heart scan came back all clear.

That is good news William. Poor little fella, probably worse for his mum and dad though going through such an operation so young.

It's absolutely pe**ing down with rain, will we ever get a summer :-|

Have finished the drapes, fingers crossed they fit, too late now to worry about it.

That's a long way off what James qualified for Jane, is it difficult to get into that field.

I've being doing a bit of family chasing on my Mum's side and I've hit a snag. John Joyce b 1886 Poplar married a Tamar (yes, I've never heard that one before either?) Elizabeth A Ling at Poplar in 1906 Jul qtr. That's all I can discover apart from her birth on GR - 1886 St George in the East, Oct quarter. I can't trace her on the census returns for 1891 or 1901. Can anyone tell me who her parents were?

I think our teeth "seem" better as we get older becouse we are more mindfull of looking after them and keeping dentists appts.
We try to avoid the consequences of all those sweets we enjoyed so long ago.

A dentist told me more than 30 years ago that refined sugar is not part of a humans diet or indeed any other species.But but then most of my teeth had fillings.

Must start dinner now .I started doing this post an hour ago ,then had a call from Rachel in Dubai :-S :-S.Trouble again with the marriage and she is expecting !!!! She has now decided not to come over later this month .Her OH will come on his own.She will be at that iffy time in pregnancy(12 weeks) and she has just found out that her Mum and her Aunty both had miscarriages at 12weeks with their second babies.I think she is making the right decision to stay put.
Why oh Why are they having another baby??? :-| :-| :-S :-S :-( Heads banging together comes to mind.Oh well there's nought I can do,other to be on the other end of the phone .(AGAIN)....I hope I don't sound uncaring but I have had 13 years of (Being here for Rachel and all the poo she seems to get herself into)
