was it love at first sight or just a friendship that grew.
Did you know he was the one?

Mine walked into my pub and I said I want ...lol
It wasn't love at 1st sight but feelings too strong to let it go, he was the one!

As I got to know him I fell totally in love with him and much to my surprise he did me.

Mine was apatient in the Military hospital I was working in. He was my shadow, and what started as a joke saying we would get married on Guy Fawkes day, finished up being our wedding day three months later, 55 yrs ago come November.

I met my OH at a christening.
His Aunt who lived over the road from us set us up! We were married a year later
21 years later we are still as happy as ever.

The first time I saw my OH was when `i was a nurse on the Renal Unit in Plymouth.He was having an interview in the office with the Consultant and I went haring in to ring the crash team as one of the patients was in Cardiac arrest .I thought ooh! he looks alright lol.He got the job and spent the first 3 months of his 3 years on the unit.It took a few weeks before he asked me if I fancied going for a meal.29 years on the 30th of this month lol.We tried to keep it to ourselves ,but the patients weren't daft.They knew.Some even turned up at our wedding 18 months later.

There are a few Medical ladies on this thread and a couple of Naval connections!

met my 2nd and 3rd husbands playing darts in 2 different counties 2 different times ! lol, both were county players and i beat them both, my 4th husband i hope will be in his palace surrounded by servants and swimming pools with thai king prawns and champers.

I had been going out with a Marine for a long time when I met my OH.He (the Marine) was on a 3 month thing away in Norway at the time.I have to say I had to do a Dear John letter,to say it was off as I had met someone else.I still feel guilty to this day for doing that.But I know I made the right choice.

He walked into my place of work and my dog liked him ...and I liked the way he made a fuss of her...plus I thought he was bl**dy gorgeous..which helped too lolololol xx

oh Muffy I have to agree if the Mutt liked then thats good enough for me. As is it was his Mutt had to like me ....scareyyyyyyyyyy the damn sod led me a merry dance.

His mutts liked me too...but that may have been to do with the bonios I had in my bag which I used to slip them lolololol.

My old girl adored him..right from the start..but when push came to shove...if he asked her (and you had to say please with her I kid you not !!) to do something ..she'd look to me first as if to say * do I have to* lol xx

I met my husband when I worked the summer at his fathers hotel whilst on summer break in 1986. It was awkward at first because he was the boss's son and everyone accused me of going out with him for this reason. His father told me he wouldn't get a penny as he thought I was only going out with him because he was his son. Six months after we started going out we got married. We married six weeks after making the decision. We didn't tell his father we asked his mother to. He wasn't very pleased more because we hadn't told him and he heard it from his mother. We phoned my parents and he asked my father for his blessing. Lived miles apart. My father asked if he was sure as I had expensive tastes. We have been married 24 years now. Only 1 more year and I will be up for parole lol

We met on a night out with a large group of mutual friends nine days before my 18th and his 20th birthday, yes, we share the same birthday. We moved into a bedsit together within four weeks, still happy 29 years later.

I met O.H at a wedding in Swansea. He had gone to see his friend marry my friend....
Not love at first sight for me, at least, but we're still happy together!
