Puss I'm not sure about knee replacements, but hips are done under epidural now, with sedation if you want it, and NOT general anaesthetic. I think knees are probably the same. You won't feel a thing, but you won't need anaesthetic either.

If you're worried about the MS, I was in a bed next to a woman with MS who had a hip done, with epidural, and she was fine.

You'd be in hospital for about a week, until you can handle stairs on crutches, though in your case they may not worry about that.

nite muff.you know where ive been daft too my leg has been aching and swollen round the kneep cap for 2 yrs, i never mentioned it because i thought it was the otherillnesses, but the pain and swelling waas really bad yesterday and my foot i should have known i was told years ago i would prob need new hips and knees, its killing me know but i have to go back thurs yikes its going to happen quick least i cant run away x


really off to bed xxxx

My other half has a knee replacement in February of this year and watched the whole thing as he had an epidural. XX
