Fried egg, bacon and bovril for breakfast.

My 4 year old likes Nutella with cheese. Has to be Jarlsberg cheese though.

When expecting my first child I really enjoyed Custard and Tuna sarnies. Didn"t suffer from morning sickness at all but would probably suffer some kind of all day sickness if I ate one now.
YUK!!!

Thank you, everyone!

This has brought so many memories back:

Banana sandwiches - in brown bread

Condensed milk - we knew it as Fussell's Milk - and sugar

My personal favourite - to this day - is fish finger sandwiches, on white bread, liberally spread with butter

Nothing better when you're feeling seriously down!

Sue x

Dizzi, I love Marmite, have eaten it every day since I gave up my baby bottle 74 yrs ago!. Used to carry my own jar when in barracks because only jam and marmalade were provided, and I take it in to hospital with me along with a couple of Oxo cubes to make a comforting drink.

OH used to have peanut butter & syrup sandwiches as a child.

When i was pregnant I would drool over hot egg omelette with lashings of tomatoe ketchup between two crusts dripping with butter ousing out. YUM could still eat it now.
I used to like crisp sandwiches too

Well it isn't quite a sandwich because I put the bread and butter separate on the plate, but I put 'em in my mouth together, so I'll call it a sandwich.

Chicken guts! With pounds of salt and pepper.

Polite people call them hearts and gizzards. My dad wasn't so polite. ;)

Now that's yummy.

All these runny eggs and peanut substances and fish bits (except white tuna with mayonnaise and lots and lots of onion) ----- yeeccchhh.

Think mine is a bit bland, compared with your suggestions.

Digestive biscuit, with bread and butter.

One of my late dad's navy ideas, I believe.

Pickled Beetroot sandwiches ,but you have to eat them as soon as you have made them or you get soggy bread and purple fingers !!

My father used to like kidney or liver sandwiches. He would fry bread in the juices of the cooked kidney or liver and then eat them as a sandwich. My OH likes peanut and jam (I suppose this is the equivalent of the American peanut butter and jelly).
