Yes Everitt was a Canadian I have the 1916 census he was born in Ontario, Winifred was a war bride, oddly though she returned to the UK at some stage because she is buried with her mother and father in Southend on Sea she was 64 when she passed away |

Hello to all of you Wildgoose, Choccy and DETand thank you so much for this!! no i did not know how to access this so thank you AuntySherlock. This is wonderful news and a lot to absorb. I have also received yesterday in the post a death cert for Alice Gillies who is Winifred's elder sister, Alice died in1999 and the informant is a Heather Groom who must be another child of Winifred's along with Glenn (the address is Canada) again! it certainly seems grand all the travelling on the these cruise liners! must have been wonderful at the time |

To add to the record Wildgoose found, it states that Canada was the country of last permanent residence, and that the Country of Intended future permanent residence (ie other than UK) was 'Other parts of the British Empire' |
