Just logged on to check my email and to thank you for the replies here.

I have to admit to being nervous because although I have had MRI/MRAs before none have involved injecting the contrast medium. I am renowned for being difficult when it comes to finding a suitable site.

Anyway I am off to finish getting ready.

Thanks again

Got everything crossed for you, Sue... both that they manage to find a vein easily and that the scan is successful in giving a diagnosis......

Well I am back :-))

They asked me loads of questions about drug reactions, dozy me remembered I had had an IVP when I was 20, had no ill effects other than getting hot! I also had a radio active contrast when I was 30, no reaction although neither of these had me enclosed in a tight space.

Anyway they performed the MRI without the contrast! Results 7 - 10 days. I am left with a more painful shoulder/arm but that is resolving slowly all I want now is a diagnosis and treatment. 15 months and no relief is really getting me down.

My quasimodo impression is complete as it's the same side as my duff leg...all I need now is for the hump to grow!

Thanks again for your good wishes.

Sue xx
