A likes XX, B knows an XX and doesn't like them. B Likes YY but a friend is called the same name. A likes XY but C doesn't cos there was someone at school who was a nerd. A likes YX but we all know a TV personaility with that name and we all hate him. |

We had such a problem naming our younger daughter that she was registered late. |

When I was pregnant with my eldest, my ex and I were going to call him Michael Dennis, if it was a boy. We hadn't decided on a girls name. When I was in labour the midwife asked me what I was going to call him/her. The name I said was completely different (I still don't know why) for a boy, but still no name for a girl. Fortunately, I had a boy and he is the name that I blurted out whilst in labour. |

Morning All, I like Gethin, which is soft sounding, and Gethin Jones is lovely and a big softie. On the other hand I find Geriant, rather hard sounding. |

Tell the parents to go with a name they like and forget everyone else. You won't please everyone and ultimately it's their child so therefore their decision. |
