Those who sent off for them before the price increase?

I sent for 2 and the time given me was the 9th April so I allowed 2 days for easter and they still aren't here ......*sulks*

Hi,I telephoned them today as i got mine on-line 6th April and after 3 days they are still not here. ...they are waiting to post and there is a back log! so mine should be here before end of week, so not too long hopefully.L

Nope...my order date was the 30th Mar & dispatch date was the 7th Apr

Hopefully it's the back log of everybody requesting before they put the prices up. Was getting worried .....and impatient lol I sent for mine on-line and I know the payments gone out of my bank for them.
Will wait a little longer

No i not worried as i knew this would happen lol

Mine were due to be dispatched on 29th March, but when they arrived they were dated 6th April ( arrived 8th )
I think they've been inundated with orders hoping to meet the big price rise.

I did sort of guess but I always worry about post to here, plus I need 1 of them to continue with my search *taps chewed nails*

Thanks Gwyn that gives some idea of how far they are behind and each day closer to the 6th will add time on. not forgetting easter weekend

I too ordered a shedload (12 Apr was given as despatch date) & received two today (overseas ones - they are had written so I think they go different route to the normal ones).

I did look on website and it says
'Due to an increase in current demand for certificates from GRO, orders placed under the standard service are at present subject to a 5 day additional despatch time. Those ordered under the priority service are currently unaffected.'

In a few weeks time they'll be sitting around twiddling their thumbs as I think there'll be an initial drop in requests.

I ordered 2 separately on 28th March- dispatch 6th April. One arrived today. Don't know what happened to other one. I ordered a few others day before increase. Goodness knows when they will arrive.

Remembered this morning, was going to order my grandads full birth cert as don't know address he was born. I have a short cert. I suppose it can wait a bit longer for me to order.

Patient so far as they must have been completely inundated.

I ordered one about 2 weeks ago and it hasn't arrived yet. I'd forgotten about it! Thanks for the info.

When I talked to the GRO office about my order of the 14th March which i had not received. I was told it had been put in a "Late Deal with file" in other words let's forget it file, due to a technical fault . Once they remove it from the Late Deal file it arrived in a couple of days ! I wonder how many more are sat in that file? I would phone up .

Looking at the dates people orderd I don't think mine will arrive until this time next week at the earliest
I ordered mine on 3rd April - estimated despatch date: 12th April plus the are 5 days behind I recon my despatch date is now 19th.
2 down 38 to follow - sshhhh don't tell anyone
