Half a Sixpence with Tommy Steele.... and Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

I saw Cats in Nottingham, also Buddy, and loved them both... and Oklahoma at the New Theatre in Cardiff years ago... I think it might have been in 1980. I would love to see Chess, amongst others. We are going to see Les Mis in July, but I don't real;ly fancy it much, strange, isn't it?

Gosh I must be old -
my mum liked musicals and the first one she took me to that I remember was There is no Business Like Show Business - with Johnny Ray, Ethel Merman and Marilyn Monroe. The next change at the pics was Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Jane Powell and Howard Keel) and this was followed by Brigadoon (Gene Kelly) - also Holiday Inn (I'm dreaming of a white Christmas) and Kiss me Kate (another Howard Keel) these were all well before Carousel, Oklahoma, South Pacific, which I also saw.
But I think my favourite would have to be Cabaret (it had a good story line as well) I even enjoyed Camelot to which my OH thinks I'm barmy.
Oh and I enjoyed Funny Girl - geez I could go on and on.
Thoroughly Modern Millie - would have to be the worst one I have seen.

We all liked Les Mis - took our two girls when they were in their late teens.
