I am more of a social animal as well, these days, lolol..... I no longer have the stamina for the long searches I used to make... and by tomorrow I will have forgotten/mislaid my notes from today... my head just doesn't retain new information like it used to. I find it frustrating.

So... I pay my pennies to be in the GR Social Club, lolol!!

mmmm good question. I still big time do genealogy mine aswell as friends but I guess I used chat on GR more now as I seem to have gone as far as I can with my tree on here.
Although I have spent most of the weekend looking for Williamson/ Jefferson/Gloag connections on here. Mainly I've been looking as they can't find me as it's not my tree so it's not on here...

I use GR for chat, cos I am on my lonesome a lot but so many people help me on the other boards with my tree problems.

My tree isn't on here as I found the hot matches a nightmare. I do search for possible rellies on GR though.

Sue can't you opt out of hotmatches ? I actually ignore them and let people contact me now.

I am still interested in my tree but most lines need RO visits to go back any further so I guess I am on here for the chat, the company, the writing group, the reading group, scrap booking group etc etc. well worth the money to me.

Due to my circumstances l haven't done anything to my family tree for quite a few months but think its worth the £9.95 for the chat and friendliness on here.( have just renewed this afternoon for another 6 months) :))) so l am a member of the social club, lol.

Sue ancestry can be a pain mind for those who don't search and don't want to pay have you thought of tribal pages for family

lol Stray when was the last time you looked at your tree ?

I've only been doing my tree for a few months so I'm still quite into that but have been trying to do my daughter in law's and them coming from Ireland in 1946 Mum's side and Dads side being Travellers and both parents dead now, I'm stuck. Only found the chat today and it's great.

Sorry Uzzi I was eating..lol I did have my tree on Tribal Pages but have a link between FTM search and Ancestry as I have 9 trees on the go...(I am a glutton for punishment).

I deleted my tree in a fit of pique as I didn't intend to renew this week but that went wrong and I was renewed,now I need to put my much improved tree back but got lost in gedcom..
